Axios Poll: Majority of Americans Open to Trump's "Harshest" Immigration Policy, "Mass Deportations;" 42% of Democrats Support This, and 45% of Latinos

Why It Matters: Because Axios is stupid and gay, so if even their poll is finding this, it means something.

David Strom:

Axios commissioned a Harris poll and discovered something unsurprising, even if the establishment was shocked.

Americans support mass deportations of illegal aliens. I suspect they would support mass deportations of some legal aliens who express anti-American views as well, come to think of it.

EXCLUSIVE POLL: Americans are open to Trump's harshest immigration plans.

Half -- including 42% of Democrats -- say they'd support mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, per a new Axios Vibes survey by The Harris Poll. https://t.co/fXPKxpGlQj pic.twitter.com/UIWn2SRKn7

-- Axios (@axios) April 25, 2024

"I was surprised at the public support for large-scale deportations," said Mark Penn, chairman of The Harris Poll and a former pollster for President Clinton.

I'm not at all. This is what is called a backlash, dude.

Axios adds:

Americans are open to former President Trump's harshest immigration plans, spurred on by a record surge of illegal border crossings and a relentless messaging war waged by Republicans.

* President Biden is keenly aware the crisis threatens his re-election. He's sought to flip the script by accusing Trump of sabotaging Congress' most conservative bipartisan immigration bill in decades.
* But when it comes to blame, Biden so far has failed to shift the narrative: 32% of respondents say his administration is "most responsible" for the crisis, outranking any other political or structural factor.

Axios Vibe Check: Amid a record number of border crossings, nearly two-thirds of Americans said illegal immigration is a real crisis, not a politically driven media narrative.

"Axios Vibe Check?" God Almighty, get your gaytarded shit under control, Axios.

I'm going to do an Ace Vibe Check.

A Glance Askance: A CNN poll finds that only 13% (THIRTEEN PERCENT) of voters think that Trump is being treated similarly to other defendants.

A certain number of those are braindead NPC zombies and Stinkies who claim that Trump is being treated better than other defendants. But most are saying Trump is being treated savagely.

Here's another swing state poll, from Hispanic-heavy Nevada:

Unrelated: Howard Stern badgered Biden (yes, Biden has refused to give an interview to the NYT for his entire presidency, but is now sitting down to be "grilled" by Noted Journalist Howard Stern) about whether he'd debate Trump.

Biden gave a very vague and very tentative "maybe" answer.

When Mr. Stern asked Mr. Biden if he would debate Mr. Trump, the president replied: "I am, somewhere, I don't know when, but I am happy to debate him."

This is not a real agreement to debate. He's just saying this because he knows how weak, pathetic, and senile he'll sound if he rules it out. So he'll keep on offering this "maybe, somewhere, I don't know when, if we can work it out" style answer when the media asks him about it, which they will not ask him about, because they know this hurts Biden and they do not want him to debate Trump. Our "journalists" are now all-in on deplatforming, and they know Biden is so senile and frail he wouldn't survive a debate politically -- and maybe not physically, either.

Biden does not call the shots in "his" own White House. Decisions like this are above Biden's pay grade. Pay no attention to the stupid, senile words that dribble out of his mouth.

10 These only reason id question the "42% of Dems" is that a large number of Democrats are probably claiming to be Republicans to try and skew polls so they can say "look even Republicans don't like Trump policies."

If that is thr case though, the Latino portion looks better for Trump in 2024, as it means for Hispanics are considering themselves Republicans or independents, and not being tricked in to begging part of the Democrat party.

Left unstated, is the follow on. The important part. Therefore, we won’t deport anybody. We ain’t even gonna try.

75 Biden’s border-deal double-down would make for good politics and good policy. Biden is smart to keep the border-security pressure on. The White House saw the possibility for political synergy here: Such a package would show Americans Biden was serious about the border while sweetening the pot for Republicans to get right on Ukraine.

Congressional Republicans, egged on by Donald Trump, turned up their nose at the package’s border provisions. They couldn’t admit that they rejected it because they were ordered to do so. Instead they kvetched the bill would not bring the number of border crossings magically down to zero. Any bill that fell short of that ideal, Speaker Johnson scoffed at the time, “would be surrender.”

Republicans could pooh-pooh any border deal as simply not being strict enough to outweigh their opposition to other parts of the package—more aid to Ukraine...now Ukraine’s out of it. Biden has called for border-security legislation on its own. What excuses will Republicans concoct this time for spurning the offer?

If Biden’s serious about trying again on the border before the election, it’s time to give his new buddy Mike Johnson another call.

That ended last week PHV. Trends are going the other way now and part of that vaunted idiocy was a poll by a little known company that massages the data to come up with Biden's a winner.

The consistent lying, the legal martyrdom of Trump, and Biden visibly falling apart in public have a toll on his numbers and that is not easily reversible. Basically, we are looking behind the curtain at the Wizard class desperately pulling every lever and yelling at the plebes to ignore the men behind the curtain.

The Dems obviously have fall back plans so we will just have to wait and see what they are. The very late convention date gives rise to the suspicion that the Dems want to retain the ability to do a Torricelli switch if they can get away with it. Their problem is that the dislike for leftism and Democrats is metastasizing in the general public as seen by the Axiom commissioned poll above.

Even the sob story compassion shit that the media likes to fling is not working for them anymore. Lying over time consistently does that.

149 "There is another attempt to reboot Kamala to make her more popular underway and that is not because VP has any real effect on the general election. "

Nonsense. They are now rapidly approaching the point where Biden will need to be the candidate. Irrespective The Democrats agenda doesn't change no matter who the candidate is. "Democrat" polls about as good as "Biden" does. They have to double down. So building up Kamala is part of addressing the successor issue voters are concerned about. Proof? Democrats moved forward with the NY kangaroo prosecution of Trump hoping it will take him out of the race. They've also doubled down on voter fraud ops, with Arizona being the latest gambit. They are not trying to win the field. They are focusing on a few states electoral votes where they know they can subvert the election process. There will be mass r fraud by Democrats especially with mail in ballots that will at a minimum cause significant chaos and confusion.

At no time my entire political memory do candidate debates - even lower-level ones - resemble debates.

A debate - a real one - presents all debaters with the same question, gives them a fixed amount of time to respond, and allows (or doesn't) for rebuttals. Then the issue is closed and the debate moves on to the next question. This is is *not* how candidate "debates" work.

When a moderator asks the candidates two different questions, what's the point? Even if it somehow isn't the norm where the Party-favored candidate gets a softball and the Party-disfavored candidate gets a lead pipe, it's still dishonest and useless. The "debates" are just a means for the press to beat up on the Party-disfavored candidate(s) and for the candidates to recite parts of their stump speeches.

Feh.

That happened specifically because the GOP establishment in GA wanted Trump gone due to the Chamber of Commerce running GA GOP (and the GA Dems when they were in power).

That was primarily over China, foreign trade in general, and human trafficking issues. Atlanta is a hub just as Phoenix is for human trafficking.

It is not hard to get here legally so most of these people are here for nefarious purposes.

Sort of, but it also allows one not to be shocked at seeing wrapped bloody packages in the wastebasket in the bathroom. Or waiting outside the door for your sister to finish, and when you go in, being able to take as few breaths through the nose as you're urinating, so as to not swallow through the mouth, the foul butt burger particles still floating in the air.

Posted by: TheJamesMadison

Ratshitburger has direct ties to China both in his prior state leg race and his brother being a bigwig with Huawei. He is bought and sold by the PRC. Kemp is more complex but he might have cheated himself into office in 2018 as SoS and those election records were conveniently wiped from SoS controlled servers before Stacey Abrams could get ahold of them.

Then there is that Kemp's chief SoS aide went to work for Dominion and Kemp conveniently used the Abrams election litigation to force the state to use that piece of shit system under a no bid contract with the state through the legislature.

Kemp is a dirty sob just like his GOP predecessor was and his gains in wealth while in office smack of how members of Congress get rich as payoffs.

His predecessor as Gov, Nathan Deal, resigned from Congress before his ethics case was heard and spent 8 years serving as the CoC floor leader for legislation. Went from bankruptcy to being a multimillionaire again.

345 Just spitballing': Biden LEADS nothing. Even Communist sewer rats need or certainly do better ( actually worse for deplorables since evil goals are their reason to be) do better when they have a leader. Everyone knows Soros, the IC, and Barky already do the leading mostly off camera but even true believers know Biden is spent.
To bring home the evil bacon or sanctified goat and close the deal in November ( beyond their cheat) the Communists will need a visible leader .... a too long way of saying methinks Barky will be The Very Visible Communist Leader in the fall.
. All the Communists already know a vote for 'Biden' is simply a proxy vote for Obama. In the fall the charade of Biden will end as Barky becomes the Un- Constitutional but Very Visible Leader
Trump versus Obama --muy spicy.
