A thug physically accosted a woman, who struggled to free himself from the grasp of her attacker.
She gave a pleading look to a male seated about twenty feet away -- "Please help." The male did nothing. He barely moved. So the question is: Was he a coward? Or was he acting correctly and congruently with the incentive system society has created? Maybe both, maybe both. Don't forget:

The provocative choice of backing the Rittenhouse tour is par for the course for Turning Point and its local affiliates, which have hosted controversial figures like Nick Fuentes, a white nationalist and Holocaust denier. It's actually 2 things that cause this breakdown...
1. Men are no longer celebrated, but are vilified and imprisoned, for coming to the aid of a victim being attacked by another man.
2. Men no longer believe in an afterlife, where selfless action on Earth might be valued after Earth...aka, religion and faith are dead.
It takes both of these things to be lost for the above actions to happen. And in current society, it is easy to see that both have happened in large swaths of the public.

I'm on "team correct and congruent." This is for two reasons. First, as you immediately point out, intervening as a "good Samaritan" is a straightforward and direct way to destroy your own life and probably not even accomplish your goal. Why should a person expose himself to imminent physical danger by engaging in a high-risk activity for which he will be mercilessly punished? When good Samaritans are ruthlessly pursued by the state, don't expect to find many good Samaritans.
Second, women are equal. No, scratch that, women are better then men in every way. Stronger. Smarter. More capable. Fiercely independent. Every single message in every single media product, everything in everything classroom lesson, every piece of legislation - everything at all levels - underscores, reinforces and drives home that position. Why should someone intervene to help out a superior creature? The superior creature can take care of itself.

Chivalry conferred rights and obligations on both sexes. So did ordinary sex norms until recently. Now women want all the rights while disavowing as many obligations as possible. They're equals now. That's how they say they want it, even ostensibly conservative women. Part of being an equal is fending for yourself, and not calling for muscle every time a jar of pickles needs opening.

I think this all started back when the schools started punishing everyone involved in a fight whether they instigated it or not.
It made it easy for school administrators, but it taught people that self-defense is not justified, and that initiating violence is no worse than defending against it. Everyone should be victims. The state of course likes that because they like compliant subjects. But it creates hell for the subjects themselves.
They start teaching men to be women at an early age and then wonder why there are no men. This is the price of letting women run the schools.

If he's telling people they're going to hell for not martyring themselves to help out a random person, then odds are he's just a grifter posing as a priest anyway (I grew up with family in the church, and saw first hand that many priests and nuns are just assholes who couldn't commit to a real job and honestly were the least religious people you'd ever meet, who just wanted a position of power)

Best thing citz can do right now to fight street crime: lock up your damn cars! Here, in the midwest anyway, stolen cars are the chariots of violent crime. Most of our armed robberies and stickups are facilitated with stolen vehicles. Most stolen vehicles were left unlocked.

Therefore that priest doesn't understand what im assuming is the catholic religion, and the idea that you can be forgiven for your transgressions. If he's telling people they're going to hell for not martyring themselves to help out a random person, then odds are he's just a grifter posing as a priest anyway (I grew up with family in the church, and saw first hand that many priests and nuns are just assholes who couldn't commit to a real job and honestly were the least religious people you'd ever meet, who just wanted a position of power)

Any Catholic may be forgiven, but it isn't automatic. You have to ask, you have to mean it, and you have to complete penance. That's why Judas went to hell. There were consequences back then, and even within their communities there were rules about what you'd do, and consequences you'd face from your peers.
It's not the same now. Kids know they can do what they want without any consequences. They are more radicalized by what they see online and more envious of others.
You are not reasoning with a 15 year old who has a gun or knife, unless you're a foot taller and 100 pounds of muscle heavier.
