Avalanche. All the snow goes, down to the dirt. I didn't realize that happened. I always had an idea that snow was still left behind.

Walter the raven.

Cute puppy digs hole at beach, and they bravely, and futilely, tries to defend it from the encroaching ocean. The house always wins, kid.

Sorry I'm late, my car got run over by a horse.

I think I've linked this before, but it's a good one: a family of rescues, including a crow.

Raising a premature baby bat who got separated from its mother.

Raising a special needs duckling.

1. Nature is fucking gross. 2. The human body is fucking disgusting.

Little girl learns (or re-learns) how to walk.

Babies are easily amused. It's really nice hearing babies laugh. (How do they even know what's funny? I guess laughter is inborn, but... how? Why?)

Fast and Furious 11: Shanghai Bamboo Drift.

The cat stole the dogbed for the last time.

Rescuing a baby elephant.

Top ten baby elephants.

This baby elephant is officially too adorable.

Ron DeSantis is trying to find a home for this beautiful dog rescued from the chaos of Biden's border.

Out-fvcking-standing:

Another Great Moment in Mangineering (TM).

And in the closely related category of Mansportation: a Real Man transports a gigantic pig in the back of his half-truck.

Same. Had a job in high school working as the grunt for a construction company. They got a job puttiing a new roof on church and my job was to carry bundles of shingles up the ladder and onto the roof.

Lost my footing carrying 2 bundles of shingles and went right off the roof. Fortunately, we had set up ladder staging and landed on it. They let me stay on the ground for the rest of the day. Hated that job.

When I was in my late teens, I was looking for a summer job, and the family of a friend of mine owned a stone masonry business. I asked him if they had any work, and he cheerfully said, sure, and invited me to come out to one of their job sites. The job that was available involved sitting on some kind of sawhorse-like contraption with a hand-operated winch close to the edge of the open wall, about seven or eight stories up. The problem with parrots as pets is they can live for 80 years. We had an African Grey parrot named Sarah Ann Marie for years. When she turned 20 she "matured" and started screaming for a boyfriend, laying unfertilized eggs and just being an all around mess and a brat. We gave her to a breeder who mated her with one of his boy parrots and she started laying $1,500 eggs.

As far as I know she is still alive and kicking as that was only 30 years ago.

And if that don't fix it, both the upstream and downstream O2 sensors.

At least the original Bosch MAF is only $45.00.

And I can get the original Bosch O2 sensors for about $65.00 each from RockAuto.

Maf is $498.00 and the O2 Sensor are well over $225.00 each at the Volvo dealer.

Should get the parts next week.

IIRC put down a dog that was killing neighbor's livestock and tried to bite her. I don't think I would've advertised it but I would do it too if the need arose and I didn't see other good options. Especially if he was a threat to bite a child.

I assume she wanted to portray some tough old fashioned Boss Babe whatever or something similar for a campaign.

(tries to think of the last time I've seen a man bragging about needing to put down a pet)

I found the story - what the actual hell.

it MAKES NO SENSE!

we had hunting dogs growing up and yeah sometimes you had one that just didn't hunt. you don't SHOOT THEM! holy hell

one girl was just untrainable but as a kid I took her hunting with me (pretend hunting) and half the time she'd take off and just start rolling in the mud. she pointed at the wind. she was just not very smart. lived to be 17, loved til the end.

and then the goat?!!? she's a psycho honestly wtf was she cosplaying some post apocalyptic show or something?

203 2016 study from Harvard-based research initiative Opportunity Insights, over 90% of children born in the 1940s grew up to earn more than their parents at age 30. However, for children born in the 1980s, only half managed to outearn their parents.

208 BlackOrchid. The dog was also killing the neighbor's chickens and bit Noem. Things are handled a bit differently in the west. Our neighbors had a cow who breech birthed, the calf was stillborn. They stitched mom up themselves and she became hamburger after a few weeks.

If that sort of thing suits the owner, family, farm, etc. sure. The moment that dog gets loose and bites a toddler you forget all the stuff before except for the moment when you had that choice to make.

I don't know the scenario, though, and am only saying I have no problem with putting down a dangerous dog, and the owner is the best one to know that.

I can discuss pit bulls later if you'd like.

211 I will admit that I'm old enough to remember when people just had dogs and that was that. There were no $300 annual checkups or $3000 vet bills for arthritis treatment. Pay for your rabies tag and call it a year.

That likely influences my understanding of the world.

No matter, it’s a black mark on my list whether you’re a farmer / rancher / candle stick maker . This ain’t the 1800’s and there are hundreds of rescue operations out there and she definitely had the means .
