Media Organizations Are Lying About the Circumstances of a 100% Justified Police Shooting, Attempting to Gin Up Race Riots for the 2024 Election

If the media thinks the public will reward the left for another planned, coordinated "Summer of Love," I think they misread the mood of the public.

But the media has nothing else so they're putting on a show called George Floyd Got Us Votes Last Time.

In March, Reed was pulled over and approached by police. Body cam footage shows one officer asking him to roll the window down and then attempting to open the door after Reed tried to roll the window up. It's at that point that shots ring out and the officers are seen running away to take cover. A gunfight ensues and with Reed stumbling out of the car, the officers discharge their weapons again.
While the press has reported that the officers fired "96 times" as a way to sensationalize the situation, 11 of the shots were actually from Reed, with his initial burst striking an officer in the arm. He can be seen bleeding on the extended body camera footage.
Misinformation about the situation began to be reported immediately, including from Reed's family.

"If he was supposed to get pulled over for a traffic stop, why do they have four guns pointed at him? He was scared. And after he was already on the ground there, they still put him in cuffs instead of checking to see if he's breathing. They shot to him 96 times and reload the clip three times," Reed's sister Porscha Banks said during a Tuesday press conference.
As the footage clearly shows, guns were only pointed at Reed after he refused to comply and started to roll his window up. The officer who was conducting the stop first approached the vehicle in a normal manner. Seeing Reed's gun through the window may have prompted him to draw his weapon. There's also the fact that Reed was out on pre-trial release for a variety of violent felonies related to a shooting he allegedly committed. Did the officers run his tag and know who he was? That could be another reason the officers were overly cautious in drawing their weapons after Reed refused to comply.

As has been standard practice for CNN, they took the view of maybe the cops were just wrong, even though they did not shoot until Reed fired first.

If the name Omar Jimenez sounds familiar, it's because you've probably seen his face many times in memes related to a little riot that happened in Kenosha, Wisconsin back in 2020.

That's right, the "journalist" CNN assigned to stir the racial pot and get some rating-bonanza race riots going is the same "journalist" who excused away the BLM/antifa arsons in Kenosha, Wisconsin as "fiery but mostly peaceful."

Kids also need to be taught how to behave during a routine traffic stop. No sudden movements, hands on steering wheel, etc. I cringe when I think about my behavior when I was a teenager and I was pulled over. I didn't do any of the above. The cops never told me quit digging around in the glove box, but I shouldn't have been doing that.

Cop shot boy in the wrist. Gun was a toy gun, but didn't have any of the bright orange markings and looked "like an assault weapon," the reporterette said. I wondered why it was on the local news since this happened in Ohio. I figured maybe they're trying to rile up the Oakland dwellers. I also wondered if the kid and his family realize how lucky they are that the cop didn't aim for center mass.

What always pissed me off is, nobody really advocated that the cop was justified doing that to George Floyd. Even Rush Limbaugh was saying it was murder. There was no reason to riot, everyone was on the same page.

I could sort of understand some form of rioting if say the cop wasn't charged.

In years, I don't think I've seen a single police officer approach a vehicle without backup, often more than one other police vehicle. For seatbelt, speeding, weaving, tailgating, suspected drugs, abuse of spouse, etc....male or female driver...and any other possible combination.

As a practical matter, sure, that's unfortunately the world we live in.

But, you know, if every traffic stop has to be treated like a life and death situation, then something is wrong. They either need to start prosecuting and punishing criminals far more seriously to make society safer, or stop conducting nothingburger traffic stops. Because treating ordinary citizens out in public like they are an existential threat is not normal for an open, free society, and it is a recipe for disaster in multiple ways. I'm sorry that various people cannot behave themselves (particularly large number of blacks per capita), but I'm not interested in living in a police state so that they can roam free.

AZ had a 15 week abortion ban, but it was poorly written (on purpose) and never "killed" some territorial law that preceded it. That wasn't an accident, some strident pro-lifers wanted a "no exception" abortion to supercede it.

State Supreme Court was basically forced to uphold the territorial law. So in a few weeks, AZ will have all abortions outlawed except for life of mother. But not for any other reason, like rape.

Enough AZ Republicans in the legislature are refusing to pass a bill that would kill the civil war era law.

Total clusterfuck that will probably mean a Republican wipeout in the state and will pass a 9 month abortion law that will appear on the ballot.

I don't know how many generations back to go, but once upon I time, I don't know that police were trigger happy. Certainly not as "trigger-happy" as they are now. The criminal element is more heavily-armed and dangerous and the front-line authorities more pressed to be superhuman in their actions. Expectations are incredibly high for situations that are dynamic and high risk. Not saying cops can be derelict and deserve no criticism, but the environment they're put in is much worse now than decades ago, IMO.

But, regardless, in this story, the "victim" asked for it; he was, at a minimum, foolish. The cops were reasonable and forced into action.

I can't speak for your town but the cops in my town are pretty mellow. Had a nice chat with one today when I was out running some errands. But then I don't live a sewer like NYC where the politicians seem bent on turning the place over to criminals and when the cops arrest someone for an obvious crime the DA turns them loose.

Cops don't make the rules, they enforce them. And when the rules suck and cops are also put in danger I don't expect them to just suck it up and take it even if I don't like the increased attitude I get. And when there aren't any rules as there increasingly aren't in place like NY, Chicago, LA, SF, DC and dozens of other Democrat run shitholes I blame the politicians. They are ones changing the rules of the game that are unleashing this shit on everyone, cops included.
