But just hours later, the aspiring artist’s hopes for his big break were dimmed when his stunt instead landed him in big trouble with his employer – and the police.

The 51-year-old exhibition technician and self-proclaimed "freelance artist" smuggled one of his paintings into the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, Germany, on February 26 and hung it on a wall in one of the galleries, according to German tabloid Süddeutsche Zeitung and the Munich police. After security discovered the newest addition to the museum’s collections, they promptly took down the display and the man was fired.

A similar incident occurred several weeks ago at the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn, Germany, where a student hung one of her paintings on an exhibition wall with double-sided tape, Süddeutsche Zeitung reported. Staff only noticed the painting when they dismantled the exhibition and saw there was an extra piece of art.

This museum, however, reacted more humourously. They wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “We think it’s funny & would like to get to know the artist. So get in touch! There will be no trouble. Word of honour.”

131 Apparently my surgeon used "barbed dissolvable sutures" on my most recent surgery. Which probably would have passed without notice, but due to the location of the scar, a small part of it opened up (right at the armpit, so adverse physics were involved, no fault of the surgeon), and a tiny part of the "suture" was exposed. It hurt like hell!!!! Every time I moved, it was a new experience in pain.

I finally put some padding between the wound and the suture, which helped immensely, and today the doctor clipped the suture away from the wound. Instant relief!

I think that my healing should go much more quickly and smoothly now that the offending irritant has been removed. A couple more visits to wound care should do the trick - the wound has already shrunk significantly in size (it wasn't that large to begin with) from last week 😊❤

We are. I will be heading up to Montana in a couple of weeks so I can be there when younger son goes in to surgery. Nothing life-threatening, but it will require some post-op care. Also, he wants one of us to be there for him.

As an aside, we are hoping to make it to Texas next fall. The Missus love Fort Worth last time we were there.

I saw flocks of them in Amazonia. That was pretty thrilling.

I submit they're too big to make good house pets. They can crack walnuts with their beaks, too. I never wanted it around my face. It was a close call which one of us feared the other the most.

I wasn't driving but recall an article where an out of busineness gas station had 69c (cents) posted... the sign didn't go up to a dollar... anyway, cars kept pulling in as gas had gone above 69c.
A wise guy reversed the numbers to make it 96c.
The gist of the article was, "Well, that will work for a week or two..."

As long as the ratings are decent and advertisers are paying for time, the show will go on. Sadly. Housewives are the target audience, and they do love gossip shows.
For the week of Jan 8, 2024, The View ranked number 1 among daytime syndicated news and talk shows. 2.6 million viewers. Scary.
