WSJ Poll: Trump Leads Biden in 6 of 7 Swing States.
Actually, He Leads in the Last One, Too, in a Five-Way Race.

The N'SCOMAF -- the Non- Stuttering Clusterf*ck of a Miserable Failure -- is failing.

Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in six key swing states, according to a recent Wall Street Journal poll. The survey suggests that Trump's lead is based on dissatisfaction with the economy and questions over Biden's age.

Trump leads in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona, while Biden leads in Wisconsin.

Third party and independent candidates could play a crucial role, with around 15% of the vote going to this group across all states.

On key issues, Trump holds an advantage on the economy, the border, and inflation, while Biden leads on abortion rights.

Diving Deeper:

The survey indicates that to win reelection, Biden will need to retain the "blue wall" of states -- Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania -- he flipped in 2020. However, Trump holds a 2-point lead in Michigan and a 3-point lead in Pennsylvania, with a significant portion of voters still undecided. Biden also carried Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona in the last election, all of which now show stronger Trump support.

In Wisconsin, it's a tie when polled as a two-man race, which the actual race will not be. When respondents are asked about their choices in a five-way race, Trump pulls ahead by 3.M.

Jill Biden (DOCTOR) was asked why her feebleminded husband/turnip is behind in the battleground states, and she snapped "No he's not."

CBS host Tony Dokoupil began asking the first lady about the polling results before she cut him off to say "no, he's not losing."

"No, he's not losing in all the battleground states. He's coming up," she said before the host could finish asking the question.

"He's even or doing better," Jill added. "You know what, once people start to focus in, and they see their two choices, it's obvious that Joe will win this election."

The first lady was also asked if she was at all worried about President Biden's re-election efforts, responding "no, no, no. I feel that Joe will be re-elected."

Is she just lying as usual?

Well, maybe. All she does is lie and eat breakfast tacos.

But last week, a Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll showing Biden gaining a little ground in the same swing states.

Except Georgia, where Trump extended his lead up to +7.

President Joe Biden has gained ground against Republican Donald Trump in six of seven key swing states, and significantly so in at least two of them. The results make for the Democrat's strongest position yet in a monthly Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll.

...

The shift was significant in Wisconsin, where Biden leads Trump by one point after trailing him by four points in February, and in Pennsylvania, where the candidates are tied after Trump held a six-point lead last month. They are also tied in Michigan.

morningconsult.jpg

A lot of these gains are of just of a couple of points, though there are a couple of +4 gains.

I notice that the liberal propaganda outlet Bloomberg and the Democrat run Morning Consult poll choose to ask about a hypothetical two-way race -- which is better for Biden, as most of the third-party candidates draw more from Biden than Trump.

Chris Queen writes that Biden committed political sin after political sin all of Holy Week.

Let's start by looking at Thursday when the Biden campaign took to Rockefeller Center for a tony fundraising event that featured Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and included Stephen Colbert as host. (Side note: I don't know who is more insufferable, Colbert or Condescender-in-Chief Obama.) That same day, Donald Trump visited a funeral home on Long Island to pay his respects to slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, while the White House never acknowledged Diller's death -- an omission that even Al Sharpton pointed out.

Between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, Biden, who loves to make much of his supposedly faithful Catholicism, managed to pay lip service to the resurrection of Jesus while highlighting "Transgender Day of Visibility." As I wrote on Monday, "The White House statement on Easter was only 94 words, while the proclamation of 'Transgender Day of Visibility' clocked in at a whopping 635 words. On the president's X/Twitter account, the 'Transgender Day of Visibility' tweet was twice as long (45 words) as the Easter tweet (20 words)."

It shouldn't come as a surprise that the Archbishop of the District of Columbia Cardinal Wilton Gregory called Biden a "cafeteria Catholic" on Sunday. The president picks and chooses doctrines to show off, but he also chooses when to flex his faith (you know, when it's convenient for him.

The White House also forbade painting any religious symbols on Easter eggs, despite the fact that Easter is the holiest day of the Christian calendar, and remains mostly uncolonized by corporate secularism, as Christmas has been.

The White House thinks it's low-class to advertise one's Christian faith -- even on Easter!

And of course for a top-off, he proclaimed that Easter was now just Oyster Bunny Day.

++++
Ah, so another person who's not in the know.

Back in the 50s, the Soviets started a crash cross-breeding program that eventually evolved into a persistent genetic engineering program. The goal was to cross various trainable mammals with sea creatures so that they could become amphibious and carry spy equipment or transmit messages to enemy nations. There was some speculative military potential, but this never gained traction.

The program succeeded in producing a few sterile, short-lived chimeric creatures, including a rabbit/oyster hybrid. This "oyster bunny" remained unknown in the west, as its existence was classified until the fall of the USSR in 1991.

154 It should be pointed out that Trump did not lead in any of these states in 2020.

As I noted earlier, the AP says Trump was the biggest loser last night in WI.
Because 120k Rs voted for someone else.
Not noting that 78k of those were to Halley. Who has not endorsed Trump. And its well-known she draws significant numbers of Dems.

Also not noting that Biden saw 60k vote for someone else. And, no RFK was not on the ballot.
Or that Joe is down some 70k votes from 2020. When Sanders--who had endorsed him--still got 300k.

Further, WI just banned Zuckerbucks. Dropboxes were ruled illegal. As were absentee ballots to everyone.

Joe "won" WI with all that by less than 25k. And 60k Dems just refused to vote for him ... or voted for Nikkiii ....

Trump is tied or behind in PA, MI, and WI. If he loses those states, wins the other four states in the poll, and all other states go as in 2020, then he loses in the Electoral College 270 to 268.

Also, recall Dems did a very good job of getting the Green Party off various state tickets in 2020. Notably, they threw the Green Party off the ticket in WI on an absurd technicality. I expect them to similarly suppress 3rd parties as necessary this time.

Unfortunately.

A legit point. But it isn't comforting given that I thought in 2020 (and 2022) that they were obviously going to steal it, and everyone said I was nuts.

Back then, I listened to Powerline's podcast, and they had a guest (Nils Gilman, IIRC) who actually laid out the fortification plans. Steve Hayward got pissy at those of us who pointed this out in the comments.

I have zero confidence in Republicans stopping a damned thing, except maybe some grassroots conservative movements. Those are given the same treatment as turtles trying to cross the NJ Turnpike.

Of course they tell me the same thing about taxes, immigration, hate speech, spending, and on and on.

I suspect abortion is a minor net plus for the Rs as I do people that refuse to vote for abortion supporting candidates even if they agree with them on everything else.

2022, like 2020, was all about fraud.

Notice the supposed blue wave over abortion only happened in areas where they believed the election was competitive and the left controlled the vote counting.

There was no abortion reaction in Florida, and hell in NY the Rs scared Hochul and Schumer out of the blue. No, obviously not enough to win, but you are telling me purple states saw angry abortion solo issue voters and NY didn't?

So, I'm pretty sure there are clinics that hand out free birth control. Secondly, there are certain segments of our society that WON'T USE IT. They know about it, they can get it but they REFUSE to use it.

357 NY abortion law is no excuses up to six months. Six months to birth there is no penalty. That's because Democrats restructured the law into the health code to remove the penalties and add general language that obfuscated the need for a reason. So basically, you can murder your baby right up until delivery.

I doubt many people know that or believe it's reasonable. Yet hear we are.

Amusingly then she asked why he wasn't on the hook for child support for all those kids and his answer was he never let the women in question know his real name, where he lived, or where he worked.

Given the side effects of birth control (that young women are finding out about not from their doctors but the internet), there may be a reluctance to use it not just because of the inconvenience. But I doubt there are studies on this, since things that our ruling class don't want to be known would get out.

But its the exception. for every Alabama there's 20 states that put it on the ballot and make the laws worse.

Even red states like Ohio have gotten looser abortion laws.

Its eventually going to be like gay marriage where it's just this accepted thing that Republicans have to stop opposing.

I think it's sick, but in 40+ states, its a losing issue.

Posted by: Blago at April 03, 2024 04:36 PM (KPn7T)

374 The problem with the "abortion debate" is that there isn't one.

It was my pie-in-the-sky hope that after the issue was returned to the states to decide, there'd actually be some level of debate about the topic -- definitions of terms, study of rates for various scenarios, discussion of when life begins, etc, etc. But what happened was a knee-jerk reaction. Red states outlaw it, blue states created "sanctuaries."

The fact is, no one will change their minds without understanding what's going on in the abortion industry. We always hear "What about rape/incest/financial woes?" And the Right side simply yells back, "Its murder!" Someone put together an eye-opening chart using Guttmacher numbers, and it's startling. Something like 95% of abortions are for no reason whatsoever -- purely birth control. All the other sympathetic reasons (rape/incest/life-threatening complications to baby or mother) are under 1% each.

When one side screams, "We need dialogue," but won't even allow clinical photos or illustrations as evidence, you know someone's being disingenuous.
