Went to the Kennel Club of Greater Victoria show today, principally to show a couple of the puppies in Beginners competition. When we got there, we found out to our consternation that we brought Puff instead of Spark. I drove home (an hour away) to take Puff home and bring Spark.

Having returned with Spark, Her Majesty told me to go to the ring and get his and Zeus's armbands. When I looked at the catalogue, I saw to my horror that it was Zeus and Phoenix and not Zeus and Spark entered today; Puff and Spark are entered tomorrow. Her Majesty just misread the entry notification e-mail.

So poor Phoenix, who will be shown at the National Specialty in June, will get no show experience at all before then. At least, for once, I'm not to blame.

Biden and Blinken have put Netenyahu in a very bad position. Israel has no choice really because they see this war as something they have to win because Hamas is an existential threat to their existence.

85 Fuel lines on anything are a PITAl. I ripped out a fuel filter and some fuel line on my Kubota tractor a year or so ago. Took about 3 months of trial and error to get it working right.

Mix up a do it yourself batch of gas treatment.
Acetone absorbs (actually entraps) 5x the water as the acetone.

This link has how to make a DIY seafoam and has some info on using it to protect engines during storage (you have to read it all to find that little bit!).

I've seen gas removed from a motorcycle that had 1qt of water in a 7gal tank. The MC required premium gas and they guy filled out in the sticks where premium fuel sat for a long time in the tanks. He had to have is bike towed home before he found the problem.

Seafoam works really well as a winter storage additive.
I used it (the diy stuff) about every 4 tanks in our MCs when we were riding all the time. We never stored the MCs though.

Zimbabwe’s central bank launched a new “structured currency” backed by gold on Friday, as it seeks to tackle sky-high inflation and stabilise the country’s long-floundering economy.

The ZiG — short for Zimbabwe Gold — will replace the Zimbabwean dollar which has tumbled in value over the past year pushing inflation through the roof, Reserve Bank governor John Mushayavanhu said.

The ZiG would be “fully anchored and fully backed” by a basket of reserves comprising foreign currency and precious metals — mainly gold, he added.

The Zimbabwean dollar has lost almost 100 percent of its value against the US greenback over the past year.

On Friday it was officially trading at around 30,000 against its more coveted US counterpart — and at 40,000 on the black market, according to tracker Zim Price Check.
