I guess I never thought of it that way, but you're right. The wizarding family we see the most, the Weasleys, have a lot of kids but make it work. Mrs. Weasley is a stay-at-home mom while her husband works hard to provide for the family. The parents clearly love each other, and love their kids. And of course, the Weasleys are seen as the norm when compared to the Malfoys (who still have an intact family and the parents would do anything for their son).

I've read the Scottish Law just enacted. There is a very vague reference to defense (or defence as they put it). Essentially, what is considered "reasonable" in inciting presumed hatred towards a specific group. Now, as opposed to spouting their mantra, they have to defend their "truth." For example...I can say "Mohammad was a pedophile (which he was)...and truth is a reasonable position. I can say Muslims participate in inbreeding more than any other faction...again truth. They shouldn't have gone so far as require defending their opinions. They can't.

A pretty ginger that my boys grew up with had a crush on my youngest for years. She the went off to college and joined the crew team. After two semesters, she decided she was gay (much like her teammates, I assume.) By the time she graduated, she was binding her chest, had a short haircut and was taking hormones which produced the slightest red beard.

She now has a PhD in psychology (of course) and is living in Colorado (of course.) Here's the kicker:

She married a woman and actually called my son to ask if he would be willing to donate sperm so they could have a child. Can't repeat his response, but let's just say she will never, ever call him again, for anything.
