Where the hell is Nikki Haley's Trump endorsement, anyway? She pledged -- she gave her word -- that she would support the nominee. I haven't seen it yet. Maybe it's coming, to be delivered in a big gathering with lots of hoopla. That would be good showmanship. But I think more likely she's just mad about her total humiliation and rejection.
I'm not surprised. All these paragons of virtue always take advantage of the Donald Trump Exception to norms and rules and doing what they promise to do. If it's Donald Trump, none of that applies. You get a free pass. It's so important to get rid of Donald Trump because he's dishonest and violates the norms that you are free to be dishonest and violate the norms. Oh, and we cross our heart and hope to die that we won't do this same stuff to the next conservative Republican politician we want to defeat.

If you are staying DON/DOD it should be good, if you are going someplace else then most likely not. When I retired my Navy clearance investigation still had over two years left on it. I got a job at a Nuke plant but that falls under the DOE and my clearance didn't mean $hit to them. I had to start all over again.

Having said that, my experience was 20 years ago, stuff does change.

Suppposed to be 'administartively suspended' when it is no longer needed, but expiration date is still there.

My oldest got a job with a civilian contractor for the DOD when he retired from the military. That's how it worked for him. But they did spend enough time on paperwork for verifying that he had the credentials that they were a week or so from expiring. But they verified just in time I guess because he did get the job.

Dan Cox beat out Larry's hand-picked successor Kelly Schulz in the GOP primary. Larry, being the True Republican and Savior of the Party... did nothing. No support at all.

Larry is not a Never-Trumper. He's an Anti-Trumper. He'd backstab more than Jack the Ripper.

A Democrat senator in Maryland would at least just caucus with the Democrats. Larry would be the kind to sit in Republican meetings and deliver the information to the opposition, even without an offer of 30 pieces of silver.

Also, remember the name Dede Scozzafava, from New York. She lost in the 2009 primary to Doug Hoffman, and endorsed the Democrat instead, who ended up winning. And for her betrayal, Andrew Cuomo (yes, that one) gave her a position in the government.

Why should they support the nominee? They can team-kill to their heart's content, and get rewarded from the other side.
