Beyond Good and Evil Otters Cafe

wreckinegypt.jpg
Diving the wreck of the SS Thistlegorm in Egypt
@tobias_friedrich_photography

Big ol' wolf.

A mob of rays and sunfish.

This will definitely take at least second place at the science fair. Though I think it will be beaten out by Becky Fleckman's exhibit, "Magnets Are Our Friends."

Seal catches a ride.

Dude is the pride of his local Dune wargaming club.

Insane high-dive.

Putting out a forest fire.

Rambunctious.

I got all your vegetables.

Monkey agrees -- these river otters are rotten!

Insane:

@BillKristol
Straightforward from here:
1. Kate surfaces, files for divorce, denounces Royal Family.
2. Forms new political party committed to a republican Britain. "The Crown is over."
3. Anti-monarchy Labourites and normal Tories join.
4. Prime Minister Kate Middleton.
5. Goodbye monarchy.

Brake assist, so you don't roll backwards on an incline. Plenty of room for all of us plus luggage.

I can pretty much buy any production vehicle I want, I would rather drive a 25 year old beat up pickup truck than a Porsche EV.

The problem with a rich guy buying the Porsche is that there really is no cache to buying it and thus not really worthwhile to own.

EV are essentially disposable vehicles and a Porsche EV is no less disposable

Same mission there seems to be 300+ Mustangs as escorts when in fact only 102 Mustangs flew escort along with 600+ more Thunderbolts and Lightnings which were not modeled.

And oh yeah, none of the B-17s were the G model with chin turret even though the 100th was almost exclusively equipped with B-17Gs by that mission.

Why no G models in the final episodes of this show? It would have taken them two more weeks of computer modeling. So they skipped it.

There was a story, way back when, maybe true and maybe not, Carson had some female celeb on as a guest, I forget who, and the gal brought a cat with her.

So Carson asked if he can pet her kitty. She says sure, and he says "then move the damn cat out of the way!"

That mini-series has no discernible story-line IMHO. Character development? What character development? CGI of aircraft in flames or exploding is amped-up; over the top, IMHO. (But what action and war movie CGI isn't these days?) If I hadn't previously read about the 100th Bomb Group's missions and flight personnel in 1943-4, I doubt I would have understood at all what the producers were trying to depict, other than occasional brutal combat at 25,000 feet.

223 Re: "The Memphis Belle"

For one thing photos of her at the unveiling show her as glossy as a show car. So much for the matte finish.

Because the AFM decided to mount her in flight, they skimped on some interior items. The ammo boxes for the waist .50s have been built incorrectly and made of metal. The applique armor plates around each waist position are painted black when period photos show them to be a lighter color possibly interior green.

As for "The Swoose," restored as she was when stationed at Howard AB since that was where she spent most of her life.
