5 Evening and morning, early risers and late toilers! 'Tis Wednesday, Camel Day, *not* so called because everybody is supposed to light up a certain brand of cigarette.

I've got 62 F. here (getting steadily warmer, you'll note), fairly low humidity, almost no wind. No excuse not to go work out. Whatchoo up to?

7 The two military surplus shirts I ordered from a store in New Zealand (yes, really!) finally arrived. The blue German Navy shirt is a little big on me, but I suspected that might happen. The Australian Army khaki shirt fits me well and looks sharp. The whole bundle w/ shipping was $25, so if I give the blue shirt away, I'm not out too much. Or maybe the blue can become a work shirt, or an outer layer in cooler weather.

9 Finished watching Oppenheimer last night, and it's a fine flick. But what amazed me was the collection of actors whom I didn't recognize. Gary Oldman played Pres. Truman, for example -- unrecognizable except for that broad upper lip of his. Einstein was portrayed by an English actor who goes back to the Sixties, Tom Conti. (You might remember him as the cheap, grumbling father of Emily, the English girl Ross was going to marry, on Friends.) And Harry Groener, memorable as the Mayor of Sunnydale on Buffy, played a character called "Senator McGee" -- I'll have to watch the film again to spot him.

Oh, and Florence Pugh, who's been mentioned here on the blog? Un-sexiest creature I've ever seen, despite having several nude and topless scenes.

17 It's sad that it's so hard to get a decent and decently priced tablet not made by Apple. Steve Jobs pissed me off in 1987 and I've held the grudge ever since.

I've been playing a zombie apocalypse seting game called Puzzles and Survival. It's really more of a management sim than an action game, except for the places where a match three game serves as a combat metaphor. I'd like it on a larger screen than my phone but the two Android tablets I've got are much too old to handle it. I was briefly excited to find they actually had a version on the Amazon app store. I've got a 10" Kindle Fire for reading. It ran so badly I consider it fraud that they even treated it as compatible with my tablet. Maybe the current model is up to the task.

21 The doctored photo of Middleton - and subsequent kill notices - is a misfire of historic proportions. The scandal could be seen as a sign of the royal family's weakening grip on public perception. But it's perhaps better understood as a reflection of our current epistemological hell.

Cheese was traditionally made using just four ingredients: milk, salt, starter culture and animal rennet.

But now there are four types of rennet used in the cheese-making industry: animal rennet, vegetable rennet, microbial rennet and a genetically modified version called FPC (fermentation-produced chymosin), which is made by Pfizer.

Pulled out all the old mulch from the front flower beds.

And refilled them with 16 bags of new black mulch.

So basically the front beds are ready for spring, which has already sprung.

Getting close to pressure washing time for the driveway, sidewalks and porches, but the tree jizz is still floating down heavy. That will probably keep up for another two weeks or so.

91 "Will the IRS accept it's the fault of the UPS? "

Tax advisors already did the e-file without the authorization forms nor the payment by check which was included in the lost UPS shipment.

MiL ran another check up to them, as she and they are both in the greater B'More area.

And the new auth forms have been taken care of already.

My quality of life is slipping.

But the good news is I can spend all of spring break without a hotel room near a beach, no crazy bar bills, avoiding deranged temporary romantic partners, and without a trip to the clinic afterwards.

So I gots that.

Not one of them ask, Why? Why did Trump draw the voters he did. Why does he still have a chance to win the election with all the insane turmoil around him. Unless they did ask why, didn't like the answer and created a reality where they are right. Probably the second part.

114 This morning downloaded a Sci-Fi book by Oles Berdnyk, because a while back I watched the Soviet 1963 movie, 'A Dream Come True', which is actually pretty good, I think. Special effects footage was purchased and used in Corman's 'Queen Of Blood'.
From a reference in the book I looked up the term 'molfar' which is a kind of Ukraine-region shaman-type figure, one of those Pagan things that never goes away. That pulled up the website for the Ukrainian OSINT outfit:

https://molfar.com/en

Check out the 'Enemies of Ukraine' link! Wowser; names, addresses, phone numbers, it's essentially an open-contract hit list right there on Tha Interwebz for anyone so inclined.

The Donks have control of enough voting apparatuses in enough locales to "fortify" the election, it's going to take Trump getting somewhere in the vicinity of 85M votes to win.
