6 So, bought a burner phone for vacation use. Have new security cam system that has to run through google home. Never got ads, but now, after letting kid download one game, I sometimes get ads blocking view of the cam app. How to get rid of them?

Yes, of course, but you can't use those to wave one's Virtue in your face, so 'abortion restrictions' it is.

A friend let his daughter use his laptop for a few days, and it seems she downloaded just about every game there is. Slowed the laptop to a unusable crawl. High schools need to demonstrate that plugging up a computer with mostly useless games isn't a good idea. I helped him delete most of the shit, and now he is back to having a usable laptop. At least if wasn't porn.

Thing is, I didn't allow most permissions. I'm not sure what allows ads to show up on the google home app when it didn't before she downloaded a game. Irritating when trying to get to the vid feed and have an ad sit on the screen blocking the view for ten seconds.

Am I going to have to do a factory reset on the phone? Pixy?

Blondie got played in discos. A few other bands, too. There was a rock/disco crossover along with Motown-soul/disco crossovers. Kool & The Gang's 'Celebration' can go with just about any setting. Had the band play it at my wedding.

Bumble has lost a third of its Texas workforce in the months since the state passed the controversial abortion SB 8 (Senate Bill , also known as the Texas Heartbeat Act, over a year ago. This new data point was shared by Bumble’s Interim General Counsel, Elizabeth Monteleone, speaking on a panel this afternoon at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas.

Spoken before the gathering of lackwits at SXSW. You are not leading off with your brightest, are you, Bumble?

about 90. Had a heart attack Monday, just couldn't stabilize him, even after stents put in his worst coronary artery. Got the to point where they could give him no more medicines or his heart would give out, and they interfered with his pain meds, so we went palliative and cut off the non-pain, non-anxiety meds. He went relatively fast after that.

'Tis Saturday! About 63 F., going for less humid today and tomorrow; it might well be the last really good weekend as far as weather around here until November. 71 I took care of my lease issues yesterday without troubles. On the other hand, Miss Linda continues to be resolutely unenthusiastic about relocating. I've been considering Evansville, IN, for a while, and pointed out to her the large modern zoo there and listings for consignment stores, both of which are important to her.

Nor was she excited about any of the houses I've shown her on Realtor. There's one on sale right now that, if I were shown it by the agent, I would say right away, "Let's do it. What's the next step?" Her reaction: "Pretty."

I dunno what to do. But I'm going.

That's my problem. She is stuck to this dump like moss on a tree. She must be able to see all the problems it has, and yet . . . I've made it clear I don't want to do this without her. But I've also said, "I've got the funds and the freedom to flee, something I've wanted for twenty years; and I'm going."

She'd have to sell her condo. And I don't know if anyone would buy even a nice a place in a complex that may soon be sold and may even be torn down.

I take a run at this one.
Don't put the birdbath close to any platform cats can use to stage a bird assault. The cat will sit and wait for a bird to land in a particular spot and pounce, albeit up, down, or sideways.

I see he didn't tear it to shreds. Interesting if he had, as a stunt, just to elicit the expected hypocritical outrage and throw it in their faces.

194 161 Biden said he told Netanyahu they needed to have a come to Jesus meeting. Put aside for a minute that it's probably a lie (He can't help himself; he's a liar and a faux tough guy). Biden told a Jew that they needed to have a come to Jesus meeting.
He's so stupid that he doesn't even know how stupid he is.
Posted by: Wally at March 09, 2024 08:00 AM (dxp4v)

I'll bet that was a carefully planned line by his propagandists, a way of giving the "come to Jesus meeting" line to lefties to use and thus dimimish or confuse it's meaning and use by actual Christians. Yes, Biden is a criminal and a stupid, angry old man, but his handlers know their business.

That should help to wash some of the tree jizz off of everything.

At least another two weeks of clouds of yellow pollen blowing across the highways every time the wind blows.

>>I said this the other day. Suburban area will be where they move illegals.

Well, The Junta is letting in anywhere from a Wyoming at the low end and a Delaware at the high end worth of illegal immigrants into the country every three months or so, they gotta do something with them.

There is going to be a point where we go over that edge, and the point is going to be soon.

197 Is Google not able to buy enough politicians in the EU to avoid these hassles? They don't seem to have that problem here and I find it hard to believe that the euros are less corrupt than our band of criminals.

And it should be means tested and graduated, rich people should pay more for their plots, and while we're at it, throw a carbon offset tax, fat people pay more as they have more carbon to offset. Also, POCs should pay less or have their plots subsidized.

But any person murdered by an Illegal should get a tax offset.

202 I think the illegals are going to start getting involved in politics soon, if they're not already. I don't mean voting, I mean running for office. I expect many of our current politicians to be run out of their offices by these "newcomers." It's a natural extension of their invasion... take over government.

I believe there have been changes to some local election laws to allow for exactly that.

>>take over government.

This is going to have to happen, it's the natural result of bringing in 16M people in a very short period of time.

People is power, and 16M people can wield a lot of power, that's over a third of the black population of the US alone, and you can see how much power they wield.

They next decade is going to make the maxim, May You Live In Interesting Times, seem quaint.

Ours are cheaper to buy though. Still hard to believe that, when flush with John's life insurance, I could have just *bought* Blunt and the local R representative instead of offering my family to be used for campaign material as an example of how ObamaCare hurt regular people (which they didn't take me up on).

213 I've used Bumble. Its fundamental flaw is its selling point: Women initiate contact.

Um, women don't like to do that, by and large.

So, Bumble attracts a few stronk women who think they want a man to take the back seat in the relationship.

When they find a man who's willing to do that, they slowly begin to hate him for never taking the initiative.
