I'd guess the store on the left is an antique or bric-a-brac shop. The one on the opposite corner, the sign starts to read "CREM" (or maybe "GREK") and then becomes unreadable, so no idea what that is.

I've long found Sherman amusing. A lot of his stuff is extremely Jewish and I find it hilarious. He made a bunch of stuff during the sort of golden age of American Jewish comedy centered in the Catskills (the "Borscht Belt") before the urban Jewish populations got rich enough (and air travel cheap enough) to sort of put an end to the urbanites driving to the inland mountains for vacations. I don't know if non-Jews find it all that funny, but I sure do. A prime example:

The fares are a little less than taxis because their drivers are paid slave wages and they have no regulations. Their presence also suppresses the use of mass transit.
Uber and Lyft: "the people driving our cars are so unskilled, they don't deserve the basic wage of a human being". "Don't worry about safety - we don't!"
On-demand door-to-door will always beat mass-transit, especially for those with mobility issues and limited minority community routes. US cities have a long way to go before mass transportation is as well-meshed with daily living as Europe.

Yes, I've never seen the argument that RideShare apps are bad because they disincentivize adoption of more mass transit, but when looked at through the lens of a radical Leftist collectivist, it makes perfect sense. Use RideShare to destroy the established taxi service, then continue to increase regulatory and financial burdens on the RideShares until mass transit is finally the better option.

My favorite math class was geometry. Maybe that's one of the things I find attractive in architecture.
Looking back, I think maybe I should've become a surveyor. I'm a geography nut, so with the combination of that with geometry, I probably would've really taken to surveying.

Heh. See, this is completely in keeping with my experience and a demonstration in opposites. I got some bad grades in school before I serioused up, but there's only one bad grade I genuinely earned (as in, I *couldn't* do better, even if I hadn't been a lazy shit). That was in geometry. I had to give it 100% effort to get a D.
Everything else was fine. Geometry kicked my ass completely. I'm better at it now thanks to years of being forced to work through problems, but something about that entire branch of math is just incompatible with my brain.

Actually looked into that when my sister and her convict boyfriend were harrassing Dad before he died. Short answer. 'No'. They fall under FAA rule in Texas (where it happened) and it is a felony to shoot at it. Especially if you miss and it gets video of you doing it, AND is owned by a jackass that needs killing that will turn you in for the LOLs.
Find out whom the pilot is. Then go assault the coon dog shit out of him. That charge is much lighter than the FAA felony.
Put up some heavy clear fishing lines with lead sinkers to foul the props over your yard. If he crashes it in your yard, beat the shit out him when he tries to trespass and retrieve it. Ensure he falls on it in such a way that it is destroyed.
