17 Trictrac (also tric trac or tric-trac) is a French board game of skill and chance for two players that is played with dice on a game board similar, but not identical, to that of backgammon. It was "the classic tables game" of France in the way that backgammon is in the English-speaking world.

73 Trictrac is a French board game of skill and chance for two players that is played with dice on a game board similar, but not identical, to that of backgammon. It was "the classic tables game" of France in the way that backgammon is in the English-speaking world.

The allocation of the men and seating may be by mutual agreement or drawing lots. Once those are decided, the players place their men in three or four piles on their talon on their own side of the board. The player whose talon is to the right moves the men clockwise; the other player moves them anticlockwise. Each player places a peg (fichet) in the hole in the end rail nearest the talon. The flag (pavillon) goes in the hole in the middle, between the two pegs. The three holes in the opposite end rail are not used. The three jetons are lined up against the end rail between the two talons.

The men travel a circuit, first along the player's side of the board from the talon to the rest corner, then along the opponent's, or adverse, side from the adverse rest corner to the adverse talon, before being borne off the board.

185 In one of the tiny, state-level races, the sitting NC superintendent of education lost her primary last night to a challenger backed by some conservative groups.

Most of my votes went to heavy losers (NC AG got 3rd from last out of about 10, NC-8 came dead last, etc.), but it was nice to see my vote against an incumbent work out at least once.

Not that the NC superintendent seems to be terrible, but I support upstarts from the right.

Also, Robinson won easily, which was cool.

There are two reasons for it, neither of them good.

The lesser reason is top prop up the equity markets and keep those stock exchange numbers nice and high.

The greater reason is to defend the high-risk arbitrage games in Treasuries that have become one of the largest sources (if not the largest source) of market liquidity.

Neither is a good reason.

Nope. He didn't win in 2020. Even if he won it legitimately, he didn't win the EC vote and so did not win. Even if the EC vote was informed and controlled by fraud, it doesn't change the fact that he did not win the presidential election.

276 The lesser reason is top prop up the equity markets and keep those stock exchange numbers nice and high.

Fk the equity markets. This was the same mistake Greenspan made. Market was down, Greenspan cut rates, the market rallied for a couple of days and then resumed its downward trend. To your earlier point of complexity, and as you and I have occasionally discussed -- As much as I love bourbon, I am finding many varieties of American rye whiskey to be enjoyable for their increased complexity due to them being less on the sweet side.
Similar rules as far as legal definition of bourbon -- just that American rye must be at least 51% rye. The ones that are fully or almost fully rye are fantastic.

360 302 San Francisco voters passed a pair of law-and-order ballot measures on Tuesday night, including one that would require welfare recipients suspected of using drugs to undergo screenings to receive benefits. 423 There was also around that time a popular drinking game that the Dutch liked; They had glass goblets with concentric circles painted on the glass like a graduated measuring cup. The goal was to drink just enough for the level or meniscus of booze to reach that next line. If it stopped short or went past the line, you had to fill your goblet up to the top and start over. The winner was the first to empty the glass and sip each time the correct amount.
