Is America's Greatest Global Foe Actually "America's" National Security Faction?

It was a busy day in Washington on Wednesday as the intelligence bureaucracy tried to foment a national security panic over Russian nukes in space in hopes of ramming through the Ukraine aid package and killing reforms designed to curb its power to spy on Americans.
Lest you think that sounds crazy, consider the timing of the panic provocations, which came almost immediately after House Speaker Mike Johnson said he and other Republicans weren't going to be "rushed" into approving the $61 billion aid package for Ukraine. It also came at the precise moment -- just coincidentally! -- that the House was debating reforms to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, set to expire in April, that would end warrantless surveillance of Americans, which of course the White House and intelligence agencies oppose.
All of it just goes to show that the most serious threat facing America isn't Russian nukes in space or overseas terrorist plots, it's the political class in Washington and our intelligence agencies that think they're above the law.

Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries issued a helpful statement clarifying what all this was really about: "The most urgent national security threat facing the American people right now is the possibility that Congress abandons Ukraine and allows Vladimir Putin's Russia to win."

It doesn't take a conspiracy theorist to figure out what happened here. Our intelligence agencies don't want lawmakers getting in the way of their plans. They don't want any interruption in the flow of U.S. tax dollars to Ukraine, and they don't want any curbs on their ability to spy on Americans.

He also discusses John Brennan's treasonous mobilization of foreign intelligence agencies to spy on the duly-elected president of the United States, in order to justify a coup against him and the electoral decision of the people of the United States.

I think a good deal of it has to do with coup the CIA and the Obama/Biden administration ran in Ukraine in 2014. The CIA and parts of the deep state have been running the country ever since.

It starts off with the gov't origin of the big datatech companies -- Google, for instance, was a DARPA project -- so that the US could change whole governments in foreign countries. Then in the Clinton and Obama years, that government/technology unholy alliance turned to domestic objectives, i.e., keeping the lefties in power.

The only way to fix this, BTW, is to find things that left likes, criminalize them, and have the police, local, state, and national coming down with every resource of the Nat Sec state against them.

My Dad was career military. When I graduated HS, I was going to join the Army. He objected. Wanted me to go to school. Said they would half assed train me, then send me to Nam to get kia. I had a family member who was a POW in Vietnam. He was in pain for the rest of his life, and when I was visiting them in 2004, he was very passionate about how much it would cost us, in lives lost and destroyed, for nothing.

I remember at the time thinking he was being naive and overly dramatic.

This is the most sympathetic big blog as you are going to find for Benz and Tucker. Most of the country thinks he was being played by Putin - and yes he was - and that he has his head in the sand over Hamas and Israel. That's two body shots. Then comes the Benz thing, which has real meat. But it is overshadowed by the other things.

Perpetual war is based upon human beings doing certain stuff. If you think supporting a country who is an ally (Israel) with munitions to fight back a 12th century death cult is losing moral authority so be it.

I have no illusions about what Ukraine is. But Ukraine didn't invade Russia, it was the other way around, and Russia has been invading and occupying places since Putin came back in to reconstitute the Soviet Union to the best he can. We said we would protect Ukraine if they gave up their nukes. We can all complain about who got who installed in Ukraine first - wasn't us. So there is no morality play there either. All Ukraine had to do was ask about Poland next door about the sincerity of promises made by the United States and United Kingdom. To be clear, I have nothing but admiration for Ukrainians who want to defend their homeland, but they should look inward about those who made a deal with the devil first if they want to win.

I can read financial reports on the rubles value; I know what it means when your currency has devalued against the dollar by roughly 20%. You can read any number of stories from multiple sources on the attempt to really reconstitute the BRICS; and then you realize there is no understandings on how it gets paid for, and no one wants anyone else's currency.

So, your currency is worthless; but they can feed themselves - except not with what TC showed. They are a large gas and oil producer, and they are selling it at anywhere from 20-30% discount, with more than enough left to keep their own light's on and stay warm. So you're left with how are they paying for it. Gold.

3) We are stopping extremism world wide. I do a similar thing, if I've reached a conclusion. I take every new piece of information, and ask "does this contradict what I already believe?"

If it does, it changes what I believe. If it doesn't, I put it with the rest of the stack.

I think that is a little over simplistic. It seems Russia picked the fight, and made Ukraine make a decision.

As for NATO, lots of back and forth on that one. Lots of promises made, even a few actual agreements on Ukraine - Minsk I & II. No one lived up to anything. I don't give Russia a pass. Putin's objective is to reconstitute the USSR. I feel we have a legitimate strategic reason to oppose it. I'd be happy to keep the stalemate going until the current cabal in DC is gone.

History would suggest otherwise - but there is no way to know for sure in this specific instance. No greater isolationist than Jefferson himself soon understood we couldn't stay on our own shores and ignore the world.

Thankfully, the world is moving away from globalism; and I do think part of that is why DC is panicking. How do they get their graft if the world is getting bigger? We are just managing the return to nationalistic based foreign policy.
