Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Is America's Greatest Global Foe Actually "America's" National Security Faction?John Daniel Davidson for the Federalist:It was a busy day in Washington on Wednesday as the intelligence bureaucracy tried to foment a national security panic over Russian nukes in space in hopes of ramming through the Ukraine aid package and killing reforms designed to curb its power to spy on Americans. Lest you think that sounds crazy, consider the timing of the panic provocations, which came almost immediately after House Speaker Mike Johnson said he and other Republicans weren't going to be "rushed" into approving the $61 billion aid package for Ukraine. It also came at the precise moment -- just coincidentally! -- that the House was debating reforms to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, set to expire in April, that would end warrantless surveillance of Americans, which of course the White House and intelligence agencies oppose. All of it just goes to show that the most serious threat facing America isn't Russian nukes in space or overseas terrorist plots, it's the political class in Washington and our intelligence agencies that think they're above the law. ... Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries issued a helpful statement clarifying what all this was really about: "The most urgent national security threat facing the American people right now is the possibility that Congress abandons Ukraine and allows Vladimir Putin's Russia to win." ... It doesn't take a conspiracy theorist to figure out what happened here. Our intelligence agencies don't want lawmakers getting in the way of their plans. They don't want any interruption in the flow of U.S. tax dollars to Ukraine, and they don't want any curbs on their ability to spy on Americans. He also discusses John Brennan's treasonous mobilization of foreign intelligence agencies to spy on the duly-elected president of the United States, in order to justify a coup against him and the electoral decision of the people of the United States. Some time travel books have modern Americans go back and lecture the past. I read part of one recently where the Present needed G. Washington to come to the Present to remind us to be unified, but they also had that 'hey, George, woman are good soldiers too' bit. This to General G. Washington, victor of the American Revolution. There was one short with Ancient Greeks explaining to the time travellers they captured that the travellers were barbarians because they did not plan ahead. Instead the travellers had just assumed they were better. Posted by: Eric2 at February 19, 2024 02:45 PM (q7Vou) Posted by: BlackOrchidZ at February 19, 2024 02:46 PM (AcWfM) 73

Even if, for argument's sake, Trump is re-elected and Republicans sweep Congress this fall, does it matter? I don't think so. Russia, in all her years, has never, ever given a shit about the costs of war. Instead, we've wasted $150 billion bribing Ukraine to fight a fight they can't win while losing over 400,000 men. But, Democrat campaign coffers have been replenished with some of those laundered billions and that's all that matters. Most of the country thinks he was being played by Putin - and yes he was - and that he has his head in the sand over Hamas and Israel. That's two body shots. Then comes the Benz thing, which has real meat. But it is overshadowed by the other things. Perpetual war is based upon human beings doing certain stuff. If you think supporting a country who is an ally (Israel) with munitions to fight back a 12th century death cult is losing moral authority so be it. I have no illusions about what Ukraine is. But Ukraine didn't invade Russia, it was the other way around, and Russia has been invading and occupying places since Putin came back in to reconstitute the Soviet Union to the best he can. We said we would protect Ukraine if they gave up their nukes. We can all complain about who got who installed in Ukraine first - wasn't us. So there is no morality play there either. You can read any number of stories from multiple sources on the attempt to really reconstitute the BRICS; and then you realize there is no understandings on how it gets paid for, and no one wants anyone else's currency. So, your currency is worthless; but they can feed themselves - except not with what TC showed. Then in the end, they would surrender the country to the commies and all those boys will have died for nothing. Was he wrong?
In war there is always the notion that some of your people, perhaps many of them, will have to die to win the conflict. But we've gone from clear goals that basically everyone would agree to be willing to fight and take the risk to die for to...goals at best nebulous and of questionable value. Consider this evolution: 1) We will fight until we get the unconstitutional surrender of the Axis powers. We will use every resource at our disposal to kill, destroy, and wreck their countries. 2) We will fight in certain countries in the Middle East to bring democracy to their people. This means we have to be measured in our use of force so as to win their hearts and minds even if that puts you in increased personal danger 3) We are stopping extremism world wide. That means we might need to send some people like you to various countries and not tell explain why you are there, what dangers you might face, and we certainly will not allow you to defend yourself if it interferes with the real goals that we will not tell you about. They Said No way Zuckerberg "started" Facebook. They needed a "face" young enough to influence the peer group, to roll out the ic product that is Facebook. I've never ever forgotten that article. I believe they also implied google was a similar arrangement. They also said lady Gaga was also at the top of her class with Zuckerberg, and she too was a recruit, an influencer. As in no way do TPTB allow anyone to amass an audience of her size (38million at the time) without their "permission." Now think about the weird little NATO/Taylor Swift narrative. THEN go listen to Benz again. He lays it out to the letter. Hmm. Wonder if he'll get Seth Rich'd soon. Posted by: Derak at February 19, 2024 03:37 PM (meDhW) 287
Black JEM, the BRICS isn't so much a new Euro as it is a new SWIFT to evade US sanctions for proposed member nations. It does two things, that above, and allow for non-IMF and non-Western banking credit clearing.
BRICS ain't there yet, but if it does go through, I suspect it will be backed in value by gold. Which Russia has, and I suspect China does too. The embargo has kneecapped Europe by preventing energy sales in the EU, and the Russians are undercutting western and OPEC prices since the Russians want money to fund their army more than crude oil. So the Russians are getting what they need, and Germany is dying. Germany is the economic linchpin of the Euro, that means all the embargo is doing is killing the EU Yay us. Posted by: Trump poisoned my cat at February 19, 2024 03:32 PM (KSNKu) == History would suggest otherwise - but there is no way to know for sure in this specific instance. No greater isolationist than Jefferson himself soon understood we couldn't stay on our own shores and ignore the world. Thankfully, the world is moving away from globalism; and I do think part of that is why DC is panicking. How do they get their graft if the world is getting bigger? I don't think Putins goal is to reconstitute the USSR. I mean, Poland was ungovernable, logistically at this point there is no way to pacify a hostile populace. See for example Detroit, Chicago, Philly. If you are a lucky tyrant, the will all gather in the main square and you can run over them with tanks. But they don't do that so much any more. They just quit working.

Posted by: Kindltot at February 19, 2024 03:37 PM (D7oie) == Which does what to us? Nothing. Germany was going to die anyway. When you don't have any kids you eventually don't have a country. the BRICS isn't so much a new Euro as it is a new SWIFT to evade US sanctions for proposed member nations. It does two things, that above, and allow for non-IMF and non-Western banking credit clearing.
--- The reason the US press spreads do much FUD about it, and the reason our IC continues to push the fight in Ukraine. BRICS will also use crypto. And that scares the shit out of them. Our intelligence agencies don't want lawmakers getting in the way of their plans. They don't want any interruption in the flow of U.S. tax dollars to Ukraine, and they don't want any curbs on their ability to spy on Americans.
------ Oh, c'mon. Just stop this pretense. Overwhelming majorities of "both" parties' lawmakers get rock hard and have to go jack it in the cloakroom when they think about a nice profitable war, or about dystopian panopticons and an omniscient superstate. They're just as psychotic and repulsive as their corporate fascist bedfellows in the defense establishment and private sector. This is only about hoodwinking and psychologically abusing their potentially restive subject classes. We're the audience. Not the Chesapeake Bay Death Cult. I maintain that in order to help that along, conservatives need to be willing to vote Democrat in general elections against RINOs. It's one way to get rid of them.
Posted by: TheJamesMadison, finishing up the Best Pictures at February 19, 2024 11:55 AM (GBKbO) ------ In my opinion, voting for a Communist is never, ever, a good idea. When they get into office they are harder to dig out than Lyme spreading ticks. While RINOs are destructive, the place to get rid of them is in Primaries, not in the General. Even though they are useless treasonous turds in office they give us numerical majorities that keep the Communists from being able to do things like the J6th Committee, and keep monsters like Nancy Pelosi from being Speaker of the House. Given the choice between Pelosi and our current speaker, who would you rather have 2 heartbeats away from the Presidency? Be Better James. Recently read "No Place to Hide" (Glenn Greenwald) published ca 2014, after the Snowden revelations of "Five Eyes" workaround/abuse to allow the US Nat Sec apparatus to spy in Americans, i.e. totally break the law and violate the constitution.
This, among other revelations that were a "scandal" at the time, e.g. NSA mass hoovering of data through witting and unwitting "private" actors such as Verizon, Meta, Microsoft, etc. This, BEFORE the Crossfire Hurricane abuses of 2016 came to light, before the Twitter files, before emails from Fauci and Co clearly suppressing the true/lab origins of Covid etc. And all this BEFORE the current/ latest revelations of "our" government a**-f*cking the American people and the Constitution. I try not to despair about the future of the country, but at this point I don't think prosecutions (as nice they would be) are nearly enough. We need a national divorce. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No, no, no, no, no. Hold up. What has been percolating to the surface over the last week is information that Brennan's "mobilization of foreign intelligence agencies" long predated Trump's nomination, let alone his election. Let’s be frank. The ruskies can slip nukes into every major port city in the US. Underwater. There’s no need to have space nukes.
And as for the Iranians, they have had the ability to make nukes for a long time. What they are working on is smaller, high yield nukes. That’s harder to do, especially if you don’t have real time test data like the US does. Or like China did when Wen Ho Lee gave them our nuclear data during the Clinton administration. (Clinton, through Loral Aerospace, gave them the ability to launch these mini nukes as MIRVs) Posted by: Justin Pinochet Castreau at February 19, 2024 06:24 PM (V8yYW) 332
And I should mention if you really want to do damage, China has shown they can balloon several nukes into EMP position and let loose, and our traitorous govt apparently has no issues with that.
