90 I'm in Virginia Beach on business. I got the cheapest room I could find in a hotel right on the beach and when I say a cheap room I mean the room they would put Quasimodo in to hide him from view. I'm not kidding when I say the only window in the room overlooked the ground floor parking area of a 3 story parking garage. There was car pressed up against the window. Sunlight has never seen that room.

The toilet was running when I got into the room and I couldn't get it to stop. I went to the front desk and asked the nice young lady if there was a chance I could get a new room cause room just made me sad.

She gave me a 1 bedroom suite on the third floor overlooking the ocean. Floor to ceiling windows on the living room and bedroom and a small deck off the bedroom. Full kitchen and a dining room table that sits 6. Spectacular view of the waves crashing on the beach. It's off season so the windows are kind of dirty, do you think I would be pushing it to ask that the windows are washed tomorrow? The streaks on the window are kind of harshing my buzz.

Bunch of millionaires specifically targeted Colorado to turn it blue (Gill Foundation in Colorado Springs for example). GOPe party is useless. Now with mail-in ballots, voting is no longer an expression of the will of the people, so all of those independent-minded heritage Coloradans are not being represented.

There's something sickening going on in San Diego, too. Republicans actually had a knife-edge advantage until the current POS mayor, who's up for re-election. The GOP contenders are absolute corpses and freaks. The only hope is the Independent, who's not much. There's one Dem challenger, a young black woman, who is clearly running to get her name and face out there (and she's WELL financed) for the next term, which I think is the limit for the current POS mayor.

GOPe evidently did nothing, recruited no one.

I'm pretty sure I can explain it. Won't be popular, necessarily, here. But I believe it to be true.

All these places described above are old school, establishment Republican places that are now going Liberal. Why ? I honestly believe, to the point that I "know it" to be true without being able to express it via math, that one phenomena we're watching is a time lag. The belief by what we would call "Traditional Republicans" that the world is more like 1980 than 2020. And the 1980 Republican Worldview is simply outdated. It doesn't reflect current realities.

Dad moved to Kalifornia in the late 50's early 60's. Met and married my Mom here, (almost) all us kids born here. His parents died and are buried here. At the time he moved here, Kali wasn't such a bad place. Today it's a nightmare.
