Quick Tips

Here's the Deep State Panic Op, the BREAKING RUSSIAN THREAT they're announcing to pressure Speaker Johnson to call a vote on the treasonous Ukraine aid bill: the Russians might put nuclear weapons... IN SPAAAAAACE.

You know, the way both the US and Soviet Union have played with the idea of putting nuclear weapons IN SPAAAAACE since the 1970s.

But it's a breaking threat that threatens us RIGHT NOW because the Deep State needs an op to pressure their opposition with.

These weapons aren't even ground-striking nukes -- they're designed to... blow up satellites.

Again, this is shit we've been talking about since 1975.

Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) sparked national concern on Wednesday when he released an urgent notice warning of a "serious national security threat." Members of Congress are now being briefed on the matter. Multiple sources tell me that CNN’s original reporting on the threat being Russia-related is accurate. Two sources further tell me that this is a space-based nuclear weapons threat.

Top line: It appears that Russia is in the process of deploying (via multiple recent satellite launches), or is preparing to deploy, an anti-satellite-based nuclear weapons system into space. Concerns have escalated amid Russian military-related satellite launches, the most recent of which occurred last week.

Um... how does funding Ukraine stop Russia from doing this?

It doesn't. Op failed.

Is there such a thing as "Anxiety Nostalgia"?

We're going to have to prosecute and imprison the Deep Staters. There is no other way. They will not stop their Permanent Coup against the people of the United States until they are stopped.

In 1970, 10% of Americans had a college degree. Today, 40% of Americans have a college degree.

This means, by simple math, that the average intelligence of college graduates has plummeted and, simultaneously, creates a large cohort of Americans who feel entitled to "college-worthy professions" without the intellectual aptitude for them.

They call this "the overproduction of elites" but that's a bad way to frame it. These people are not elites. They think they have elite credentials, but they actually don't. What they are are elite aspirants who have been sold a much-devalued credential and a lie for $200,000.

Hence, the explosion of email jobs, DEI offices, and administrative positions--which are the most susceptible to capture by resentment ideology.

Meanwhile, the cost of this college-degree bubble is shifted onto taxpayers, as the $1.6 trillion student loan scheme is funded, subsidized, and guaranteed by the federal government.

This won't end well. Conservatives should be ready for the bubble to eventually pop, and work to privatize student loans, put immense pressure on the system, and put state-backed higher ed into contraction.

An ideal might be 20% of Americans with a college degree--meaning a reduction of slots by approximately half. Job training, technical schools, and community colleges are much better options for the 60th-80th percentile: faster, cost-efficient, and oriented toward productive work, rather than ideology.

Biden's "defense" of his failure to remember when Beau died was that he was so angry and incensed that the special counsel would ask him such a thing about an Official State Secret That Joe Biden Has Vowed Never To Talk About (except in every other speech), that he silently fumed to himself, "How dare you bring that up."

Supposedly, then, Biden wasn't having "lost time" when asked this question, but smoldering with manly, virile, and quite youthful rage.

Via Chuck Ross: You're not going to believe this, but that was a lie.

All of those of you who said "I bet Biden brought up Beau, just likes he brings up Beau whenever he's in trouble," head to the Ace of Spades Casino Cashier to collect $1000 in Ace Chips.

Herridge was one of 800 people who got axed on Tuesday in Paramount Global's massive cost-cutting operation.

Herridge was fired just hours after she reported on how Biden may have "retained sensitive documents related to specific countries involving his family's foreign business dealings."

"The Committees require this (Biden/Hur interview) transcript... there is concern that President Biden may have retained sensitive documents related to specific countries involving his family's foreign business dealings..." she posted on X yesterday.

It refers to The Trolley Problem, a hypothetical intended to illuminate someone's preference for utilitarianism or moral imperatives. The trolley problem goes like this: a runaway train is approaching a switch. If it stays on the track it's on, it will run over and kill five people. If you throw the switch to change tracks, it will miss the five people, but kill the one person on that track.

So less people will be killed if you throw the switch. But, if you throw the switch, you will be directly responsible for intentionally killing the one person. You won't be directly responsible for the deaths of the five people, if you choose to do nothing.

So do you throw the switch?

I guess you can say "If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice (ba-dum-dum)," so not throwing the switch is equally directly and intentionally killing the five people, and either way, you're making a choice of who lives and who dies, so you might as well save more people.

I think that's how I see it. Rush Rules.

6 I'm pretty sure the actual Russian threat relates to salad dressing. I major market scheme is afoot whereby Russian dressing will go head to head with Italian dressing and French dressing. Word has it that the French have already given up and are looking to join the Russians.

Simultaneously, Russia is planning to sue every fast food restaurant on the planet for taking Russian dressing and relabeling as "special sauce." Yeah, about that...

There's a scandal in the anime industry right now (also known as "a situation in which the fans found out what the industry is just fine with") involving localization for North America. The dubbers have been making characters much more woke than the Japanese creators had intended. IIRC, Crunchyroll is aware of this, and apparently tacitly approves.

The Japanese just found out about it, and they do NOT approve. Some of the Japanese publishers have stated that they plan to have AI do the localization going forward, with a real person looking over the results to catch the inevitable AI screw-ups.

Also, something similar has just turned up in localization of Japanese video games.

95 Our President, unfortunately, is one of the repulsive people who claim Gold Star status. While supposedly comforting the families who lost a loved one due to his inadequacies as Commander in Chief, he routinely twists the conversation around to be about himself, and he then fraudulently claims to have lost his son in the Iraq war. This is a double slap in the face to those families; having to listen to the one whose leadership failures are complicit in their loved one's loss turn around and lie to their face about how he supposedly suffered a similar loss. The families deserve better. We need to amend the Stolen Valor act.

118 My thoughts about the Bootyjudge story -

It appears Biden frequently yells and curses at his minions for not bringing him the details he wants. I imagine there are two or three rounds of this for every decision Joe has to make that is more important than what socks to wear each day.

IMHO he wants to know every tiny detail out as a way to make his minions think he is just so smart because he knows what the critical details of a subject are, and they don't. He's also doing this to delay making a decision that may have bad consequences for JOE. Not for the US, but for JOE, POLITICALLY.

Have you noticed that when things go south big time for the Junta (as in Kabul falling literally overnight), it's two or more days before the Junta tells the public anything, then it's another day or two or three before Joe appears to deliver a CYA screed and reveal his half-assed next move? The man is afraid to make decisions. I still cannot believe it was five days before Joe selected a retaliation plan and gave the attack go-ahead after three Georgia Army Reservists were killed by Iranian proxies!

What a useless POS to have as President and Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces.

Sure, if you add additional or different facts, it may change the answer. But the hypothetical is implicitly asking, all other things being equal, which is the better choice. I don't have a problem with altering the hypothetical, but saying that you can change the hypothetical to make it different or harder doesn't make the question actually posed any harder or more morally complex than it is.

178
The Trolley Problem is a classic "Needs of the many vs the needs of the few or one" type of question. Commit and act which will kill one person but save five.

Other forms, where this could come up, is say you're a military commander. You have a choice of ordering something that will get some of you own men killed, but prevent even more being killed.

Now, add in things like, some of the few who will be killed happen to be close friends of the commander, etc, etc.

In that case the commanders duty should override his personal feelings. But in other's it may not.

In the trolley problem, I'd save the people I knew, if there were any and wouldn't see any problem with that. However, if I somehow had duty or repsonsibility, say as an official of the train company or some public official, it would be different.

Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (w6EFb) at February 14, 2024 07:19 PM (w6EFb)

179 The trolley problem is laid out too deterministically. Like you can predict the future. It should be presented that 5 people are at risk one way, and 1 person at risk the other.

The best solution is to throw the switch. Because there is a greater likelihood that one person might move just right to avoid being hit than 5 would all be able to do so.

Like this analysis or not, I credit the man who inspired my cognomen, Blaise Pascal, with making probability a reality so we can weigh potential outcomes properly.

180 My bet is Iran tests a nuclear weapon before the end of 2025. Maybe before the end of 2024.

They already have all the equipment and knowledge needed thanks to Pakistan and North Korea.

All they need is bomb grade Uranium. They are enriching uranium to 60% U235. One pass through the centrifuge cascade and 25 kg of 60% becomes one fissionable mass of weapons grade Uranium.

They will not start making weapons until they have enough 60% Uranium to make lots of bombs quickly, "Breakout."

There's an aspect of the Tucker interview with Pooty that might have been missed, because Pooty is good at being subtle.

Essentially, he's got no incentive to stop the Ukraine adventure. None. It's not hurting his military capability, it's not depleting his weapons, his manpower, it's not having anything but a positive effect on his economy.

And as he watched the U.S. bleed itself dry, he's planning the post-U.S. world. He's chummy with Chi Nah, he's basically watching Europe step on its collective dicks.

And those Great Reset chumps? Wait'll they see HIS Great Reset. Let's put it this way, those whining ninnies who think they're running the globe right now... they have no idea what's coming. When the dollar collapses, it'll be Pooty's turn. And when they come begging for scraps, he'll spit in their eyes, make them lick his boots, and put a bullet in the backs of their heads.

And there will be no one left to stop him.

I just happen to be there. Whereas in your hypothetical, I have to commit a moral transgression - lie - in order to save more people and effectively am collaborating with the enemy. 222 remember when reagan was going to start ww3 because of the strategic defense initiative?

wash post 3/24/87:

Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) said here today that he believes the Reagan administration's real goal in seeking a broad interpretation of the 1972 Antiballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty is to achieve nuclear superiority over the Soviet Union.

"I believe what's at stake here -- and I'm not even sure if the president is fully signed on -- is a clear determination ... to believe that we can in fact seek and gain nuclear superiority in a way that will enable us to somehow change the way the Soviets do business," said Biden, who is expected to formally announce his bid for his party's presidential nomination this spring.

Biden has long been critical of the administration's Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), and more recently of the attempt to reinterpret the ABM treaty to allow earlier development of that program. He has argued previously that a functioning defensive system would upset the nuclear balance by increasing the Soviet sense of vulnerability to a first strike.

US WW2 Uranium enrichment was performed using a vast number of cyclotrons at Oak Ridge, then gaseous diffusion on a large scale, also at Oak Ridge IIRC. Large industrial-scale efforts.

The large uranium piles at Hanford were used to create plutonium. Breeder reactors.

That's easy. Just make up numbers. How would Biden know whether they're accurate or not?

It was a thing as the cold war went on to "encourage" nations not to go nuclear, by both factions. For most with nuclear allies, the big boys could cover them. Then some countries officially de-nuked themselves with inspections and assurances and bribes as rewards. Israel, I think still pretends not to have nukes.

257 When I was a kid we had a pastor who told an elaborate version of the trolley problem but as if it were a true story and the setting us a train going over a drawbridge and the drawbridge operators son has foolishly strayed into the gear mechanism and the operator has to throw the lever and hear and watch his son ground up in agonizing fashion.

He would really lean into the gore I swear. And not let up on the claim this was factual account.

And then for anyone with room temp IQ he would surprise turn the story into a great allegory of the Father sacrificing his Son to save us all.

I have even seen that story in a film version somewhere. I'm all for allegories that help us appreciate the magnitude of the suffering of both the Father and the Son during his crucifixion but there are a serious problems with that particular one and I hate it.

My dad is 72 and recently went to a doctor for the first time in ages, despite not showing any issues they still did a cognitive test, because he's a senior. And he's not in charge of say, the once most powerful country in the world. So if it's something they test done random guy for, maybe just maybe they should check the president.

But hey, everything old is new again and the neofeudalists who run stuff pine for an age of total stagnation where wars were measured by the number of decades and accomplished little.

I know, because as a kid, the train delays would be so long we would get Train Days off. The trains would sit at the intersections blocking us from going to school for so long, that we had no choice but to go home.

Indiana, where Butteplug supposedly lives, is called "Crossroads of America." because of US 30, and US 41, also because of the rail junctions that exist in "north" hammond, transfering to chicago, and then to the rest of the nation.

Pete would have never worked the rail, because he's a fay little cunt who's never worked a day in his life, other than lying to his administrators at university, while being given a dei direct commission in the military, that no longer gives a fuck about oaths or dedication.
