Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Report: The State Department Is Investigating Israel for "War Crimes"The filthily corrupt Biden is throwing our ally over in favor of terrorists only to appease pro-terrorism Michigan Muslims. The Biden Administration is reportedly investigating potential war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza, despite public claims to the contrary. Key Details: White House spokesman John Kirby told reporters on January 4th, "I'm not aware of any kind of formal assessment being done by the United States government to analyze the compliance with international law by our partner Israel." Despite Kirby's statement, sources told the Huffington Post that the State Department is probing Israeli actions in Gaza that may have violated international law. The revelation of these investigations highlights yet another disconnect between the Biden administration's public support for Israel's Gaza campaign and the awareness among foreign policy officials that the policy could be illegal and implicate U.S. officials in war crimes. Diving Deeper: The Biden administration's public narrative has consistently supported Israel's actions in Gaza, bolstering U.S. claims that Israel is respecting global standards for fighting in pursuing Hamas in Gaza.... However, behind closed doors, U.S. officials have been assessing potential international law violations by Israel for months. At the State Department, officials are investigating Israeli actions in Gaza that they believe may have broken international law.Indeed, Biden dispatched a "top advisor" to Michigan to tell Arabs in Michigan that Biden had "made missteps" in supporting our longtime ally Israel in its retributive war against the terrorist group Hamas. One of President Biden's top advisers told fuming Arab and Muslim American community leaders in Michigan this week that the administration has made "missteps" in its support for Israel's war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza. "We are very well aware that we have missteps in the course of responding to this crisis since Oct. 7," Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer said during a Thursday meeting in Dearborn, Mich., with Muslim and Arab Americans, including state and local Democratic elected officials, according to the New York Times. "We have left a very damaging impression based on what has been a wholly inadequate public accounting for how much the president, the administration and the country values the lives of Palestinians," Finer added. "And that began, frankly, pretty early in the conflict." Finer was part of a White House delegation dispatched to Michigan ahead of the state's Feb. 27 Democratic presidential primary, in response to growing hostility toward Biden from Muslim and Arab Americans -- a sizable voting bloc in the Great Lake State -- over his support of Israel's war effort in the aftermath of last October's massacre of 1,200 people in the Jewish state. As noted in the sidebar, Tucker Carlson is embracing this position more and more. They have been pretty uniform in the messaging on the Hamas/Israel thing. I suspect this is another cash cow for the deep state.
I hate to reduce so much of their actions and motives to this, but the fervor with which they pursue this or Ukraine... I cannot explain any other way. At least with Israel you can say they are just anti-Semitic commies who should be given a long drop with a short stop, but Ukraine? That is just weird. The bedrock principle of international law is reciprocity - if the other side isn't observing the Geneva Conventions, you are under no obligation to observe the Geneva Conventions when dealing with them.
An example of that is Chester Nimitz ordering unrestricted submarine warfare against Japan immediately after Pearl Harbor - Japan had attacked without warning, in defiance of international law, so unrestricted submarine warfare was allowed, despite the fact that it was normally prohibited. When Germany declared war on the US, Germany was already waging unrestricted submarine warfare, so obviously it was appropriate for the US to respond in kind. This has become somehow transmuted into the idea that "Western" states are utterly obliged to obey every nuance of international law, while non-Western states and quasi-states can completely ignore international law without consequence. Lets just be done with this. The North committed War Crimes against the South, the entire time Sherman marched at the end. And they committed War Crimes in the occupation and Reconstruction.
We committed War Crimes against the American Indians. Over and over again. Whatever side lost WW II was going up for War Crimes. Our subs in the Pacific did more hard-core shit than the Germans in the Atlantic. We firebombed multiple cities - not just Dresden and Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It's Total War. Want to know how to kick off Total War. Cut through the border fence, kill folks in the street in a few border towns, and take a few hundred hostages. Congrats Hamas. Sow the wind. Reap the whirlwind. Posted by: Pepperidge Farm Remembers at February 13, 2024 05:31 PM (DgKCv) 52

Tucker making those statements in an Islamic country is kind of funny. I don't like the neocons or leftist one worlders getting us into wars or situations to benefit themselves, but supporting our allies including NATO, Japan , Australia and South Korea, and especially Israel is important. To make that statement in the Islamic world misses the fact that if they had more power they'd destroy the west and with it, Tucker.

I used to be unable to reconcile the God of the New Testament -- loving, forgiving, abounding with grace -- with the God of the Old Testament. So much killing. So many directives to not leave a single stone standing or a single person alive.
And then ISIS came along. That ushered in a new era for me. Religious adherents so evil and loathsome in their treatment of fellow man that not a shred of goodness or righteousness flowed through them. It wasn't about the "greater good" or what is best. It sought none other than complete dominance. For its own sake. And ISIS lives on in the 10/7 attacks and so many in the West's response to the subhuman brutality. And I understood that certain belief systems are fully incompatible with civilization. You can't work with them. You can't persuade them. You can't debate them. You can only eradicate them. So when I read passages like the destruction of Jericho, "They devoted the city to the LORD and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys," I no longer wring my hands and think how this might be athwart NT teaching. I don't think what Israel is doing is genocide, but you can openly call for the literal extermination of every Gaza resident on this site. That seems to be perfectly fine according to the rules here. Don't try to gaslight me otherwise.
== Until Gaza and Hamas completely surrender, it is a state of war, and we have seen the combatants are pretty much everyone on the Hamas side. There are no civilians. So no surrender, keep fighting, keep killing enemy combatants. Until they surrender, hand over the 10/7 participants and organizers and leadership. It's not gaslighting. It's fact. War is hell. We should remind everyone of that. Beginning with the Gazans and their elected government. Posted by: Black JEM at February 13, 2024 06:00 PM (GZYu7) 181
I do NOT understand why a single Leftist "genius" has not yet pointed out the easiest means to get a ceasefire in Gaza by 7AM tomorrow morning - Hamas declares unconditional surrender and lays down their arms.
Even an International Genius like Gene Simmons has said the same. But Hell, why trust a rock star when you can listen to somebody like Kissenger or Kerry or who the Hell else ? Here's the deal, why did Trump tickle all our funny bones here ? Was he smart ? No - he's an idiot. Sure, he has money - but he can't complete a crossword puzzle or win a game of chess against any of us. And that's the point. It's not that Trump - or even Reagan - was all that great. --- Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration Israel - Country Commercial Guide Last published date: 2023-10-06 Please note this report was published before October 7, 2023. Top five reasons why U.S. companies should consider exporting to Israel: • U.S.-Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA), signed in 1985. Nearly all non-agricultural trade tariffs have been eliminated; • The U.S. is Israel’s single largest trading partner. The Israeli market is highly receptive to U.S. products and services; • Israel is the second largest trading partner for the U.S. in the Middle East; • Despite regional geopolitical challenges, Israel has a stable, strong economy; • Israel has a thriving innovation ecosystem and is a global leader in the number of startups outside of Silicon Valley. Since signing the FTA in 1985, U.S.-Israel trade has grown ten-fold. In 2022, exports of U.S. goods and services combined to Israel were $20.8 billion, compared to $18.2 billion in 2021. In 2022, U.S. merchandise exports to Israel totaled $14.2 billion, an 11% increase over that figure in 2021. ...more. If you asked the most liberal NYers their views on Arabs a month or two after 9/11 I’d bet most would say kill ‘em all. And that went away pretty quick and turned into “in this home” and coexist signs.
Israeli leftists will probably come back to where they were as well. Posted by: Montec at February 13, 2024 06:21 PM (YofvK) 247
We definitely made missteps in our support for Israel. Our incoming shipments of napalm, cluster munitions and thermobarics are extremely anemic. We need larger, US-flagged cargo ships in the fleet to make the appropriate deliveries. Posted by: IllTemperedCur at February 13, 2024 06:21 PM (n+4am) 248
Yes when I was there, I never heard a siren or had to take shelter and life, yes, went on as Normal. Israeli's are practiced at that
BUT the attitude of my friends and family there has changed. They all want to finish this, no matter the cost. Because they know if not, we will be back to OCT6th soon Posted by: Nevergiveup at February 13, 2024 06:11 PM (PQ4m2) I have talked a bit with some ordinary people on X who live in Israel and post there. As to how everyone is affected - he posted a video of he and a friend hiking in a beautiful spot in north central Israel a few days ago, and posted a video saying "this was kinda cool, here you can see the missile barrage coming in from Lebanon, and you can see all the Iron Dome interceptors coming up to engage them." Just an everyday ordinary thing now. Posted by: Tom Servo at February 13, 2024 06:21 PM (i9ffA) 249

So he backed DeSantis. Big deal. It’s not like he backed Biden as someone above suggested that he gave money to democrats. A lot of people wanted DeSantis he was a good option as a running mate but screwed the pooch.

http://tinyurl.com/4d4f8j6v Posted by: sharon(willow's apprentice) at February 13, 2024 06:20 PM (t/2Uw) there was a video on X a few weeks back (and there have been many like this, but this one was particularly notable) where this man was holding this baby all wrapped in what looked like burial clothes, and he was wailing and moaning and howling and so were people around him, and then the cloth slipped off the face and it was hilariously obvious that he was holding a full sized plastic baby doll. Hamas didn't care, and probably didn't even realize, that with that attack they completely destroyed the political side in Israel that was most in favor of accomadating them. Those that weren't killed have now spat on those ideas forever.
Posted by: Tom Servo at February 13, 2024 06:17 PM (i9ffA) Forever is a long time. Israel was founded in the 40s to not forget what happened to them, but most of even the Israelis pretty much forgot before that day. As did the IDF who got humiliated and failed in their duty. But yes, Hamas did care, because they wanted to get back to a day when they were feared instead of marginalized. Maybe they overdid it and will be wiped out as a result. But the PLO got a generations worth of do-overs fed by "international opinion" Posted by: Oldcat at February 13, 2024 06:27 PM (eoQWY) 259

Personally, if was Israeli I'd quit with the victimhood angle. Lots of people are victims. Lots of cultures and races are too.
Move on from that. Establish a presence and defend it. Like what the IDF is doing in Gaza. Let the Israeli's do what they must. Make that the mantel from which your society thrives. And let anyone know if they decide to fuck around, they'll find out. Posted by: Martini Farmer at February 13, 2024 06:41 PM (Q4IgG) 272

Have you ever meet anyone who boasts of being a State member? Its like boasting of being a gender studies major from Harvard.

If tomorrow, the mongol hordes appeared via temporal displacement in the middle of europe, raping an pillaging, would we hesitate to wipe them off the face of the earth? Maybe keep a few alive for historical assessment?
No, we wouldn't. The Palestinians are the equivalent of the mongol horde. Since we know their motivations there's no need to keep a few for historical assessment. My opinion is that the earth is a small place. If you accept civilization, you can stay. If you don't, be prepared to move on to meet your maker.
