Not crazy at all IMHO. They wouldn’t care who wins just the betting lines; refs make a huge difference in every game.
Having said that I watched the entire game yesterday with the sound off so as not to be influenced by the announcers. The worst call I saw favored the 49ers who lost (defensive holding on the Chiefs in OT to extend a scoring drive… it wasn’t holding)…. The refs actually had a decent game. Now last year they outright gave it to the Chiefs with a phantom call at the end….

It's dumb for at least two reasons:
1) Although some calls in the postseason clearly favored the Chiefs, there wasn't anything really controversial on the part of the refs last night. As LinusVanPelt says above, it was slightly in favor of the 49ers if anything, but nothing to suggest being rigged for either side.
2) If Swift endorses anyone this election cycle, it will obviously be the Democratic candidate, and that'll happen with or without the Super Bowl, and her influence on female voters will be as great (or as little) as it already was.

Don't think it's political but I do think this was all marketing. Kelce is a big name in the game. He's now inked up with Pfizer. Add Swift into the mix and now it's a global thing.

It's dumb for at least two reasons:
1) Although some calls in the postseason clearly favored the Chiefs, there wasn't anything really controversial on the part of the refs last night. As LinusVanPelt says above, it was slightly in favor of the 49ers if anything, but nothing to suggest being rigged for either side.
2) If Swift endorses anyone this election cycle, it will obviously be the Democratic candidate, and that'll happen with or without the Super Bowl, and her influence on female voters will be as great (or as little) as it already was.

Except that the old QB for the NO Saints was on a Monday Night Football game a few years ago. It was supposed to be his last game with a ceremony to honor him at halftime. Right before halftime he throws this pass to a wide open receiver who runs it in for a touchdown. There was virtually no defense to speak of. It was a clear case of letting him get a TD.

I thought it a relatively clean officiated game. My thought was the winning edge was Mahomes running the ball. Purdy did a marvelous job but he doesn't run too often. The SF defense pretty much ruled throughout the game shutting down the pass. By doing so they became susceptible to the QB run which put things into overtime.

In the end, I think this is the explanation.
And she didn’t make it past the high school stage since she didn’t go to high school. She’s been a professional singe since she was 14 or 15. She didn’t go to high school, at least not in the traditional sense. She was tutored while on the road. She’s no re-living her HS days, this is her high school experience. Dating the captain of the football team.

Probably more likely to rig the other kinds of bets - not who wins / loses. Over/under outcomes can be manipulated by play calling becoming more aggressive or less aggressive as needed. Also those bets like "anytime TD" -- Lots of money bet on Kelce to score a TD?? Just don't throw it to him, or have him fall just a few yards short of a TD so someone else can score. Someone did an analysis of sports and how much each sport is determined by skill and luck. Pro basketball was by far the sport most determined by skill, something like +90%. I recall pro football was in the 75% range IIRC.

It's not going to stop her from endorsing Biden or another Democrat, if she's so inclined; the only effect it might have is to piss off a lot of her fans and make them less inclined to vote for Trump. I'm sure that fan base skews Dem in any case, but a lot of moderate and conservative women like her music a lot as well.
It's a stupid thing to do, and I wish it would stop.

I watched a movie last night about a father and son who encounter a talking crow as they walk around the Italian countryside.
Also, it has newsreel footage of the funeral of Palmiro Togliatti because the director was dealing with a massive crisis about how his Marxism wasn't coming true.
I laughed a good bit.

Between the traveling no calls, double dribbles and flopping that would embarrass a soccer player, it's completely unwatchable.
... I watch a couple of games over the weekend.
I came away wonder exactly what was traveling any more. I saw 2 steps, 3 steps, 4 steps. Finally, decided the refs ignored it unless it was just too damn obvious.
I used to have 41-game season tickets from 1980 to 1990 to see Philadelphia, so I've been to hundreds of NBA games. I had seats across from the home team, 6 rows back (3th hockey row).
