Vigilante Poses as Underaged Minor on the Internet to Entrap a Predator, Arranges for a Meeting, and Then Executes the P3dophile
Some call him a hero. But others brand him "an inspiration."
A Texas man posed as a minor and lured a convicted child sex offender to his death because he felt law enforcement didn't do enough to keep pedophiles in prison. James Spencer III, 24, had been in contact with Sean Connery Showers, 37, on the messaging app Kik, where he posed as an underage individual as the two planned to meet up while some of their messages appeared "sexual in nature," according to ABC 13. Showers had shown up to the 900 block of Northwood St in Houston on May 29, 2023, when a car pulled up beside him before the driver fired numerous "automatic-like" shots and sped off. In 2009, Showers pleaded guilty to federal child porn possession and was sentenced to 30 months in prison, along with being required to register as a sex offender. Ten years later, he was sentenced to two more years in prison for failing to register as a sex offender, records obtained by the outlet said. Another driver found Showers' lifeless body in a ditch within the residential neighborhood. Investigators connected Spencer to Showers' death after a phone that was found under the man's lifeless body had messages indicating he was planning on meeting someone at the nearby Montie Beach Park. "(Spencer and Showers) were communicating using a social media app," said 179th District Court Chief Prosecutor Rehman Merchant. "The communications were sexual in nature. The officers believe that they were meeting up at this park to engage in sexual activity." Some of the messages from Spencer were seemingly used to get Showers to admit his past. ... Spencer allegedly became a vigilante after claiming law enforcement wasn't doing enough to stop the other predators. "(A) third party states (Spencer) told them he believed police were not doing enough to keep pedophiles incarcerated and (Spencer) wanted to rob and harm those type of men because they would do bad things to little children and other people and he knew how to track them by an app on the phone," his bail order, obtained by KTRK read. "A month later, defendant made the same comment that 'if the cops were not going to do anything, maybe he should kill them himself.'"Princeton can use a man like James. Chris Hanson is a homo. The social scientist Jonathan Haidt has been on this case for some time now and points out a marked increase in teen depression and anxiety that coincides with the rise of social media, particularly among the girls. It is, to be sure, difficult to nail down with absolute certainty a direct relationship between social media and these distressing outcomes, but many studies find a connection and the lived experiences of families is, overwhelmingly, that the takeover of adolescence by social media hasn't been a healthy phenomenon.

What they mean is, when someone is ALREADY on a sex offender registry, and the conviction will essentially make that automatic, the person is then required to register EVERY time they move or get a new job.
Failing to register means, he had something like a week to let the local police know he was living/working somewhere, and didn't.

Ahhh, the word "allegedly" - a good defense attorney would say his client was there to be the guy on "To Catch a Predator" and only wanted the other guy to turn himself in for his current crimes, when the other guy got violent, so he was forced to defend himself...
Never does his admissions say he wanted to "kill" the predators...rob and harm are a problem, but easy to get murder taken off the table for manslaughters, even before a jury gets a chance...

I sork quite otten with the Boy Scouts. For Citizenship of the Nation Scouts have to ask/ interview 3 adults about the job of law enforcement.
I was eavesdropping on the other adult doing it and they were saying the law protects citizens for Criminals. I quickly thought of a different reason for law enforcement.
The another purpose of Law enforcement is to protect criminals from a mob.

I quite enjoyed the new Jason Statham movie for basically that reason. The FIB is portrayed as dumb and lazy for the entire movie, culminating in Statham walking up to a fully armored FIB SWAT team, chatting until they realize he's who they're supposed to stop, and then he knocks them all out and takes their lunch money.
Also the main bad guy is the President's son who has acres of hookers, does coke off the President's desk, and brings in all of the family's money by illegal means. Stop me when that sounds familiar.

They don't want every state doing this, they don't want 49 more cases. But they want CO to win.

For a couple thousand years, Hebrew took the same path as Latin in the Roman Catholic Church, or Sanskrit in the Indian culture. It was stil known and studied, but it was not a living, daily language for any Jewish persons. The Nation of Israel made a conscious choice to reverse that and use Hebrew as a living, daily Language once again.

A lot of larger companies have red plates for their fleets as well. engineering, land survey, etc.
what I've seen are a lot of spartan black plates with white text. Some red and blue as well. it just started happening.

Yes, your point stands, provided his action meet the definition of murder, which in general is "the deliberate, unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought", possibly with a few reginal variations, which they seem to from the news account.
