Among quadrupeds, besides the ordinary domestic fed or wild animals commonly eaten as food, we find apes and monkeys, the spider monkey, the marmozet, bats, hedgehogs, bears, racoons, badgers, many of the carnivorous animals, as foxes, lions and tigers, the puma, & cougars are also eaten. Then again we have the seal and the walrus, and of course, the bandicoot.

Fanni Willis refused service of the congressional subpoena over email so the US Marshalls had to hand deliver it. Posted by: Duke Lowell ============ Soros's plan is creaking and groaning, and I'm . . . astonished to see it. By the way, Yes, it seems that Black female officials are the most corrupt in the nation. I can't even rattle them all off right now, but there was the mayor who made schools buy her stupid books, the mayor (or something else) who stole money that was marked for hungry kids, Marilyn Mosby, Fani Willis, that mayor of Baltimore -- maybe she's the one with the book scam. Anyway, I didn't get Thomas Sowell's note from longer ago that Black Americans should not go seeking political power; they should seek economic power, which is the real power. So instead of parachuting into public office, they should get rich and then tell their public servants what they want. I get it now. You get undeserved political power from the top-down, it doesn't work. Apparently, it's dizzifying and loaded with temptations. Black people should drop this dream of "seeing themselves" in political offices and dream of bossing politicians around instead. I'm glad the Instagram links (and embeds) are usually just the scenic postcards, not the cute critters, because I just won't play them. Too much hassle, overhead, and can't full-screen them. I'd like to see a compilation of the "Don't stop stroking" videos. I've seen so many different critters do that, and their "keep going" wave is as clear as communication can be. That hirsute horse looks high-maintenance. Especially the braided mane. MiladyJo has just two braids, well past her waist, and I know what effort those take! No spoilers, just that you go off on different characters (sure, he stays central), and frankly that's what bothered me about it, that I'm now supposed to care about these other people. Just do a good police procedural, follow an interesting case or two, and let him do his thing. Some people are doing recaps, videos that highlight what they noticed, and those are worth watching too. It's hard to overstate this, it's a significant world development, for someone to have finally sat down with the guy to hear what he has to say. It's also significant that corporate media is condemning it. They don't want you to know what he thinks. They want to control the narrative, censor and suppress. What a world we live in..... 'They don't want you to know what he thinks. They want to control the narrative, censor and suppress.' That was the main value to me. We got to hear Putin, his motivation, his side of the story. It was self serving in places. He doesn't mention the Holodomor (i.e the chief grievance Ukraine has with Russia) during his history discussion. On the other hand, it sounds like he tried a number of times to negotiate his differences with the US and Europe and was completely rebuffed. That part I found all too believeable. The whole Reacher thing requires a large suspension of disbelief. This guy wanders around aimlessly, mostly in small rural towns, and always gets sucked in to a vast conspiracy with violent real bad guys and really good victims to save. Through the course of the books he kills hundreds of people and yet he is never arrested except for short periods and he can talk his way out of it. He's so good he can out think and out fight everyone, even has time to consider how "bad" they are so he can disable them based on what he feels.they deserve. That said, I love the books by Lee Child, I rank him with Hemingway, Chandler and Fleming in that its the author's unique style that makes it work more than the stories. His brother writes them now and they are just ok.

Then Walgreens opened one of the first drive thru pharmacies and my mom saw those same Medicaid customers driving new expensive cars better than her car. Her sympathy meter took a big hit.

Lying on the couch after a very refreshing nap after my post below. The main "beef" with seed oils is the high proportion of omega 6 fatty acids they contain relative to omega 3s, monounsats, and sats. (Sat = saturated not satisfied; most fat is satisfying :-> ) Anyways, omega 6 is necessary but it's extremely easy to obtain - you can't get too little unless you really try. Also, chicken, despite having a higher protein-fat ratio than grass-fed beef, has a much higher proportion of omega 6s. Too much omega 6 causes inflammation. Too much omega 3 causes problems too, but omega 3 is harder to get - carnies who eat lots of salmon, lamb, grass-fed beef may. Look up talon fitness on youtube for his food tier vids. Great stuff, easy and fun to watch.

Posted by: Nightwatch at February 09, 2024 09:37 PM (TDvv2) I don't believe that for a minute. Any more than I believe Obama somehow corrupted all these otherwise great and grand three letter agencies in eight short years. That gives too much credit to how DC works. Obama is, frankly, the McGuffin of the Modern Right. A relatively insignificant man, but a convenient object to blame for the failings of the Right's favored institutions, as well as a quick excuse when inconsistencies in their worldview are pointed out. If Obama never existed ? The Modern Right would have to invent him. Posted by: Eyes Wide Open at February 09, 2024 09:42 PM (q8oah) 179
One of the most interesting things Putin made clear last night was who he thought was really running the US. From everything he talked about from the Bush administration forward it is clear he thinks the CIA is running the country and he's right.

It's pretty telling that despite how much the media now hates Tucker for being a real reporter, Putin said last night very clearly that the CIA did a regime change in Ukraine in 2014 and not a single media organization thinks that's newsworthy. We're poured over $100 billion into a war in Ukraine under the premise that we are protecting a fledging western democracy against an evil invading country that wants to take them over and Putin claims the US did that 10 years ago and that's not news. I'm still solid in my thinking that Putin is, well, rational. He's a nationalist. About as close to a Benevolent Monarch as we have in the modern world. I said it at least a decade ago. It was shouted down by folks that simply can't let go of the Cold War. Putin is not anywhere close to the first page of threats to America. Frankly, I think the man can be dealt with - civilly. But there's no budgets to be made that way in Langley and Foggy Bottom. Posted by: Eyes Wide Open at February 09, 2024 09:47 PM (q8oah) 184

A "journalist" who has already explicitly said how much he loves Pootin, and thinks Pootin is always right about everything. Basically everything mixes with everything period. I know we’ve all looked this up on the net, and I’ve done it myself, and I consider myself a booze connoisseur. But really sure there are some classics like Roman Coke, jack and Coke, ginger ale and vodka and maybe grapefruit soda and tequila.
But really anything mixes with anything in a pinch. I recall one New Year’s Eve when I was a teen, and we drink wine mixed with Pepsi. I thought that was the worst thing ever then I look it up later and it’s pretty much the most popular drinking in Spain among the yutes. Posted by: Quint at February 09, 2024 10:38 PM (CikQo) 220
I was wanting a quiet bar in London and the guy next to me ordered a vodka and Coke. I casually mentioned that no one orders that in America we only order whiskey or rum with Coke and he got angry and gave me a diatribe about America, etc. I still say it’s a crappy mix. I don’t know why, but I don’t make the rules.

Vodka goes with fruit juices, and since tomatoes are fruits as we know that is pretty much consistent advice.
