NBC "News" Poll: "Biden's Presidency in Peril, Declined In Every Measure"

At the behest of the delusionary White House, the left is ginning up the most desperate campaign of overpraising Joe Biden -- claiming he's the most successful president in history. It's so incredible it sounds like they're being sarcastic.

Adam Carolla was nigh-apoplectic over the "narcissistic sociopath" Gavin Newsom making this claim about Joe Biden.

Maybe they think the key to beating Trump is to engage in Trumpian puffery, wowing listeners with a litany of dubious superlatives?

I don't know. But the public isn't buying the "Joe Biden is the most successful president in history" Soviet propaganda campaign.

President Joe Biden hit yet another new low in his approval rating (37%) in the latest NBC News poll released Sunday, raising concern of the Democrat pollster, who said the "damning" results show "a presidency in peril."

Former President Donald Trump not only leads Biden by 5 points (47%-42%) in the national poll, but also leads by big margins:

23 points on mental and physical health to be president (46%-23%)

22 points on handling the economy (55%-33%)

21 points on dealing with crime and violence (50%-29%)

16 points on being competent and effective (48%-32%)

11 points on improving America's standing in the world (47%-36%)

35 points on securing the southern border (57%-22%)

Illegal immigration has been widely deemed the No. 1 voting issue, according to exit polls in the early GOP primary states.

47% is close to where I'd say that Trump needs to be -- about 48% will win this race.

"What is most concerning is the erosion of Biden's standing against Trump compared to four years ago," Democrat pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates told NBC News.

"On every measure compared to 2020, Biden has declined. Most damning, the belief that Biden is more likely to be up to the job -- the chief tenet of the Biden candidacy -- has evaporated."

...

With 73% of registered voters say the U.S. is on the wrong track under Biden, the only silver lining for the sitting president and Horwitt is there remains time to turn the numbers back around.

"Biden can take solace that we are in January and not October 2024," Horwitt added. "At this stage in prior cycles, attitudes can change."

He's doubling down on all of his current policies. How can he change them, given that he is, according to the White House and its surrogates, "the most successful president in the history of the United States"??!

A conviction of Trump won't do it for Biden:

Biden backers might have to hope for a conviction of Trump on one of the four indictments he faces. If Trump is convicted of a felony, Biden actually leads Trump by 2 points (45%-43%), but that is a statistical tie within the margin of error.

This is tough:

[B]iden's campaign made its case in 2020 on being more competent and effective, but that advantage is now squarely in Trump's favor by 16 points, according to the poll. It is a 25-point swing from June 2020 -- the height of the George Floyd riots and COVID-19 pandemic backlash.

Much more at the link. I can't quote all the goodness.

John Nolte:

Nationally, Trump leads Biden by a stunning (in this poll -- see the closing paragraph) five points, 47 to 42 percent.

That's a nine-point swing in Trump's direction since July of last year when Biden was up four, 49 to 45 percent.

...

Currently, only 35 percent of Hispanics, 29 percent of young people (18-34), and 27 percent of Independents approve of the job Biden's doing.

For contrast, in this same poll in early 2020, Trump had an approval rating of 46 percent and still lost (allegedly).

...

On the general question of favorability, only 36 percent view Biden favorably, while 54 percent view him unfavorably. That puts him underwater -18 points.

Trump's favorable/unfavorable rating of 38/52 is four net points healthier at -14 points.

More at the link.

It was in 2016, too. And it delivered Trump into office.

At which time we made some progress, but little progress that was difficult to undo thanks to obstructionism by the Congress and Trump blinking - as the President historically almost always blinks - on a "government shutdown" play. Trump lost that battle and with it, much of his agenda.

So what this time? Deliver Trump into office again, some modest improvement, and then failure theater until we can return to business as usual?

73 Last week a poll had Biden ahead 5 points nationally. Now, Steve Kornacki has Trump ahead of Biden on every issue, the worst polling for an incumbent since Carter and HW Bush?

Low unemployment, record stock market, inflation decreasing in most sectors. Yeah, let's go back to unstable Trump. Threats to other countries over trade, tariffs imposed because Trump gets feeling hurt, threats to fire government/Federal workers that don't pass Trump loyalty test, corrupt Trump cabinet members, etc. Biden's economy is strong and stable.

If somehow Biden doesn't win in November, it won't be Biden that failed democracy. It will be democracy that failed Biden. And that due to free speech meaning free lies.

In this poll, Latinos are FOUR percent of those recorded, which I find to be one hell of a flaw. The great unsaid that really needs to be examined is the impact a possible President Kamala Harris is having on Biden's numbers.

The most unbelievable aspect of that poll was it said that trump was more competent and mentally stable then Biden. That is very f**ked up. Is there that much of a disconnect in this country?

Yes. There are perhaps some legitimate public polling outfits, but I question even the minority that are often considered to be "honest."

The parties and the candidates maintain monstrously expensive polling apparatuses, and their polling machines are jealously guarded secrets that deliver for them strategic benefit. The processes are secret, the methods are secret and - vitally - the *results* are secret. This costs an absolute fortune and is the focus of monumental effort and commitment of resources by the parties and by the major candidates.

Why? Why do the parties and candidates maintain their own gigantic and expensive polling systems if the public polls are good? This is needless expense if the public polling complex is actually accurate and generates useful data. The first party to quit doing it would see a massive relative increase in its war chest. Yet, they don't quit doing it. And since they don't quit doing it, a solidly logical conclusion is, "the public polls aren't accurate or useful."

We were discussing this yesterday. I read a Trump quote to day that seems pretty unequivocal that she's on the way out. I hope he does it soon enough that it won't disrupt the GOP's election efforts, such as they now are.

Trump had been asked by Fox News host Maria Bartiromo about Ronna McDaniel, who has been facing withering attacks from some Trump allies, including the group Turning Point, which was part of an unsuccessful effort to oust her last year.

“I think she did great when she ran Michigan for me. I think she did OK, initially, in the RNC. I would say right now, there’ll probably be some changes made,” Trump said on FOX News Channel’s Sunday Morning Futures.

165 That number on the economy is big. Trump getting over 50% on anything is a good sign, and the economy is pretty much the most important thing to most people, as it is felt by everyone. The next is security, which i would lump the border in with, and that number is also surprising (i wouldn't think anyone voting for Biden would give Trump a positive in anything)

Even that baserunner on "raising our image in the world" is surprising. People probably realize all intelligent countries are shifting in a direction towards Trump like leaders, not away.

171 Biden didn't win by millions of votes.
He won by less than 50,000 spread over 6 states.
And they had to ballot stuff, mail-in vote and even shut down counting to tabulate in secret to get that win.

Unfortunately, GA looks like it may be the only one to fix those cheats. They're being dragged kicking and screaming and the GOPe may yet prevent it.

This is how elections will be from now on. Well, at least until there is a true insurrection.

Lots of Democrats are highly paid bureaucrats who'll pony up a bit to show solidarity to the Party. Lots of oligarchs are aware that they became rich due to financing/shenanigans from the Party so they'll pony up some also.

The Republicans, on the other hand, have no agenda other than to screw over their voters. Frankly, I'm surprised they get ANY donations.

Opsec would indicate that discretion about what your plans to combat voter fraud will be. In some cases, non partisan groups are teh better play such as the folks that are combing through voter rolls for fake, dead, moved registrants. You then move at the local and state levels to have those registrants disqualified and removed from the rolls. Both Ohio and Florida moved decisively red after cleansing the voting rolls. Ken Blackwell gets the nod for Ohio and RDS for Florida.

590 Ace, I rarely comment anymore. (Strictly a matter of good life obligations - new parenthood, etc.)

I'd just like to point out that unless the media can fool the voters into thinking the economy is going great guns, these bad polling numbers are likely to get worse for Biden as the election day deadline approaches.

Right now, Trump represents a muddled abstraction. Significant numbers of voters aren't aware that his nomination is a fait accompli. When it becomes broadly announced and accepted that Trump has actually secured the nomination, Trump's numbers will go up even more. When Trump nominates Ben Carson, Trump's numbers will jump up even more.

And finally, when Trump starts leveling criticism at Biden on numerous fronts, it will become the public's expectation that Biden answer those criticisms. Then we'll see landslide proportion polling.

Posted by: Dr. Pork Chops & Bacons

Already here. And Philly thinks it's the UN thanks to FJB & his ilk.

The city developed non-profits years ago and brought in, for instance, Puerto Ricans en mass (then dumped them on smaller cities such as Allentown, Reading, Chester) plus, for decades, there has been a Liberian connection. Ergo, there's a substantial migrant population & many are not legal.

Eventually they're nudged into a few of the ring counties, especially following the Legislative Redistricting a handful of years ago. (And, it's back!) There's a Philly Africantown Project, btw.

Like Baltimore, the general population believes thoroughly believes ALL Black Lives Matter though they often fear for their own lives & stay out of the areas of most migrant populations other than, maybe, to grocery shop.

There's also a substantial increase of Black-Latino families in the city v. the Black-White families more common in the ring counties. (Yeah, the latter included anyway in the 2020 mostly peaceful protests.)

Philly learned dump & nudge from NYC & Newark, NJ.

592 48% isn't good enough. The dems have now maintream'ed and institutionalized fraud in the election. Any swing state will go into "we are still counting the ballots" mode until they have generated enough Dem votes to win. Leftists are always one step ahead of the right, even if the right clamped down on every cheat the left used the last two cycles the left would have come up with new ones the right isn't prepared for, always one step ahead. The right tries to WIN VOTES. The left focuses on GENERATING BALLOTS. There is a HUGE difference and the left will win every time until people who do election fraud go to jail, which will never happen because the left owns the judicial system as well.
