American Nightmare: Immigrant Family Flees Back to India After Teacher Secretly Transitions Their Daughter, and Then "Stalks" Her

Before you get excited: I think this family were legal immigrants.

In June 2022, two Centennial Elementary School students in Olympia, Washington, disappeared. Their parents, Indian immigrants, had quietly driven them out of state, to Oregon, before they eventually decided to fly back to their former home country. No one in Olympia has seen the children since.
"My daughter mentioned that Tia had been gone from school for a couple of weeks," said Jess Davis, whose daughter was a classmate of Tia's, one of the family's children. (I have changed most of the names in this report to respect requests for anonymity.) "We were at an ice cream social that our neighborhood has at the end of the school year, and I was thinking about them." So she decided to text Tia's mother to ask why they weren't there. The mother "got back to me and said, 'Sorry, we are out of town,'" Davis explained. Evidently, the family was still hiding and hadn't yet left the country. The mother texted Davis again, "and said, 'Can I call you?' And she dumped it all out."
Tia, who was ten, had apparently just gone through a social gender transition at school, encouraged by her teacher. Olympia School District is one of at least 1,000 districts nationwide that have enacted secrecy policies for kids who express gender dysphoria; so for months, Tia's parents had no idea what had happened. When they finally learned of their child's secret identity, they came into conflict with a public school system that had embraced gender ideology's radical notion that parents who don't unquestioningly affirm their child's gender choices pose a danger to that child. Tia's parents' protests were, consequently, treated as illegitimate.
"Mrs. A [Tia's teacher] is stalking my daughter," Tia's mother told Davis. "What is she going to do to my daughter?"
Paper copies of the following e-mail messages, among others, from Mrs. A to Tia's school e-mail address were anonymously placed in the mailbox of local mother and activist Alesha Perkins in the early summer of 2023. Most were sent after Tia's parents had taken their children to Oregon.

"Make sure this email is deleted too when we are done bc otherwise when your mom looks, you will be outed instantly."
"I kept emailing you but I was worried your mom interfered before you saw my messages."
"I was also serious I would take you into my own home anytime you need."
"You need to get a personal email set up so we still have a way to communicate!"
"I'm worried you're going to leave and I will never be able to be reached."
When Perkins publicized the e-mails on Facebook, they sent shockwaves through the community. "This is probably the most disturbing thing that I've seen because it is on such a level of coordinated deception that so many people have to play a part in, including young children," Perkins told [un]Divided, a local journalism website.

So I don't meant to unduly attack teachers, but I will repeat again: Teachers take 6 or so credits of basic, 100-level child psychology. I'm sorry to say this, but of all the "learned professions," teachers are the least learned. Their degrees are the easiest and least competitive.

And yet, these 22-year-old gals, who have nothing to their name but a thin paper credential and almost zero actual education, decide that they're Basically Just Like Psychiatrist M.D.'s and should be allowed to practice child psychiatry without a license.

I say this because the left is the most obsessed with credentials: If you're a teacher, your credentials extend to teaching children stuff that only children do not know yet.

I'm so tired of teachers saying they're "the experts." The experts in what? The multiplication tables?

We keep seeing people with very basic degrees telling parents -- most of whom have more advanced education than the teacher do* -- that they're the "experts" who have unquestionable training in deciding what sex your kid should be and which gay porn comic books he should be beating off to.

* Yes, I know, it doesn't matter what a parent's level of education is, he should still decide what his kid will learn about sex or "identity." I'm just pointing this out because teachers keep making the "I'm credentialed, I'm an expert" argument.

You're credentialed? Oh, you mean have the lowest possible level of BA? But you're more of an expert than doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc.?

Oh -- and also, you're 22 years old and know absolutely nothing about anything?

Are there highly educated teachers? Are there teachers who know enough to be an actual expert in their specific field?

Sure. But the baseline required for a teaching credential is a low level of education. Nearly as low as the baseline required for that other Profession of Experts, "journalists."

If a teacher has won loads of awards for excellence, and taken years of post-graduate training in their field -- okay, maybe I'll consider you an "expert."

But the average 22-year-old girl coming out of college with mere training in grammar and basic arithmetic and kinda-sorta bullshit classes in pedagogy?

Get the fuck out of here, and get the fuck over yourselves.

And the Dunning-Kruger effect is in high effect here: Dumb people all think they're "experts" because they're so stupid and uneducated they have no idea how much there is to know about a field of study, and how many years it would take to become even highly skilled in that field, let alone "expert."

So it's consistently the stupidest people who make the wildest claims about their own levels of competence and "expertise." Studies show that actually competent people routinely underestimate their level of competency, and (wrongly) rate themselves as less intelligent than their peers.

So me someone claiming to be an "expert" and pointing at a very basic BA as the proof of this and I'll show you someone who shouldn't have gone to college in the first place.

Even if the teacher was not 100% approaching this from... grooming purposes (i'm straining credulity to give them benefit of the doubt and they just were an extreme useful idiot and slave to their new religion of the LGBT+), the entire idea of silo-ing parents (and turning all the children against telling their parents, it wasn't just this girl, it was the entire classroom) from their children's lives is insane.

My wife, a former el ed teacher and district administrator knows all too well the BS being crammed down our grandchildren's throats. She recently asked our 10 yr old granddaughter about her 'Health' class. It called 'Wellness' now, btw - strike one.

The 5th grader couldn't really tell her much other than the talk about 'Identity'. Strike two. Her parents don't care and are unfit, imho. The kids live 300 miles away from us so we no longer have the impact we once did.

The children are doomed. It crushes me.

It's more than that though. While I was not for chasing men out of secondary education, I would have thought it would reduce the incidence of inappropriate teacher-pupil relationships. But female teachers have been working overtime to disprove this thesis. It's not just that groomers are attracted to this job, I think, it's that the entire education bureaucracy has been coopted by deviants and weirdos. Groomers may want the job, but the people educating and hiring teachers also seem to want the groomers these days. The whole industry needs the equivalent of de-Nazification.

Not to start a flame war but that is part of the problem with libertarianism is that the personal actions of a minority inevitably bleed over into the social realm. You either have society enforcing norms or the law because a certain percentage of people are evil and perverse. Better to use society than the law because of edge cases. 50-70 years ago, the parent would have that teacher punished with full community support to both punish and ostracize that person. Changing over to law means that some asshole lawyer is going to claim their legal right to engage in pedophilia and some courts will grant that teacher the right. A new twist on droit du seigneur.

We were on quarters, and I think 180 to 192 credits were required to graduate - 15-16 credits per quarter. The ElEd girls all had ridiculous hours totals - 250 or so - with 4.0 GPAs. Everyone knew it was silly. There were some weekends where they would need to work late on their construction paper and glitter projects, but mostly they seemed to have plenty of free time.

If I hadn't already been good at that stuff (she liked my classwork), it would have put me off it for years. One day she actually stood in class and held me up as a good example, saying I should have been in her fifth period class with the really good students instead of down there in steerage with my sixth-period classmates.

Nobody gave me a hard time about it later. They realized how aghast I was at seeing a teacher do something like that.

200 Another amigo in college who was not just an education major but a PhysEd major. lol. We’d joke with him that during exam time he had to study really hard how to bounce a basketball. And he’d be like yeah it’s a fucking joke, but whatever it’s a degree. He never actually became a teacher, went to work for a multinational and is still there today having climbed the ladder to management.

He had the last laugh I guess. While we all worked our asses off of getting “real” degrees off he learned to bounce basketballs. And in the end ended up in the same place.

I'm kinda sick of this crap and the generalizations. It wouldn't fly anywhere else and the fact that it flies when discussing teachers is really rather insidious. There are of course exceptions and standards deviate from state to state. But that said the teachers in my family are some of the most learned and credentialed people I know, and I have friends across many professions. They not only have numerous degrees with concentrations, it they are also licensed and require continued education and proof of proficiency in their core subjects. I will stop there and say that's probably more than most professionals already. I will also say there are good and bad people in every profession. Bad people no matter where they are deserve the scorn. But since the teachers union is outsized in terms of their liberal influence, teachers, good teachers, many of them, continue to take it in the neck with misinformed, cute comments like this.

Functional society does not scale well to large communities. The very anonymity of urban and large suburban areas leads to a critical mass of evil doers that then prey on the populace whether they are politicians, bent police, criminals, or sex predators.

I'd suggest it also gives the staff something to do for six months. Talking about how six boxes of ten dots does whatever and then testing on how many ways different dots can be drawn in boxes, columns, and circles takes up a LOT more time than handing out a multiplication table and saying "Memorize this by Friday, it's the basis of everything moving forward and you'll need to know it."

But, essentially nothing in our society works and to change that, you have to radically eliminate or change institutions and their staffs to eliminate dysfunction. Our educational system is akin to Soviet Agriculture which I am sure had a few dedicated people struggling to produce for the common good. She taught in a small conservative community and produced results that were top in the county.

Rest on the older 1920's cases of Meyer v. Nebraska (whether parents could teach their kids a foreign language at home) or Pierce v. Society of Sisters where Oregon tried to ban private religious education (at the time Catholic) and that was held to violate the liberty interest under the 14th Amendment for parents to raise their children.

Only Thomas, so far, has called for strict scrutiny (in a concurrence) of any attempt by governments to regulate how parents raise their children in a case called Troxel. Overall, Scalia is flashier in some of his opinions but Thomas is the more sound legal scholar. Scalia was also responsible for Smith v. Oregon among other bad cases involving religion and government regulation.

I'm at dinner on weekends with some of these these people as they're messaging kids back about assignments. Same at night where they are also grading and prepping lessons. That's before you get to extra curricular activities and clubs. During the summers where they are "off". They often spends weeks in programs to improve their skills and meet learning requirements. Like I said that isn't all teachers but it's also not all people in other professions.

Witness the judge giving no prison time to a woman who murdered someone allegedly on a marijuana high. Substance abuse is a mitigating circumstance arguing for manslaughter in sentencing, not to allow permission to escape punishment.

That sort of comment is used to end discussion on an issue rather than to enlighten. Gays don't like discussions of the dysfunction in gays and tendency to groom and they point out not all gays are like that. Trans, same deal, and IQ, student behavior in schools, criminal offenders, culture, immigration, etc.

That is because far too many people either wittingly or knowingly personalize arguments into 'their experience' which cannot be refuted but also cannot be generalized beyond 'their experience'. They then in turn reject other people's 'experience' or anecdotes as Not All People Are Like That.

It is a rather nasty rhetorical tactic of ecological fallacy and sometimes decomposes down to No True Scotsman type arguments. IE, my relatives are dedicated and spend lots of blah blah and therefore any insinuation that teachers by and large have it easy are ......

There are of course exceptions and standards deviate from state to state. But that said the teachers in my family are some of the most learned and credentialed people I know, and I have friends across many professions. They not only have numerous degrees with concentrations, it they are also licensed and require continued education and proof of proficiency in their core subjects. I will stop there and say that's probably more than most professionals already. I will also say there are good and bad people in every profession. Bad people no matter where they are deserve the scorn. 333 My late bride was a teacher, but also had an additional ACS Chemistry degree, and worked her ass off in college to get them both. But the education classes were easier, and she intuitively knew how to teach, and loved to impart knowledge to her kids. The Ed classes probably helped, but it was what was inside that made her a good teacher, not her smarts, or IQ, or whatever other measure you want to use. She was unique, and much rewarded for her time in the classroom, with accolades that don't mean all that much in retrospect, but in remembering her, shows her colleagues knew she was tops. There is some comfort in that for sure.

I knew more than one person who could not make it in the hard science programs and transferred to one of the education programs, very often, Elementary Education. A number of them were friends, and not terrible people, they just could not make it otherwise.

If a cirrcula has the word "studies" in its title, it requires no studying by its students.

A B.A. in education is 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th grades, with "social promotion".

A graduate degree in education is a participation trophy.

Scholarship requires original thought. "Different" is necessary but not sufficient to define "original" in this context. This fact has been deliberately ignored in much of academia for idealogical and political reasons, resulting in farces such as "Dr" Jill's dissertation.
