The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

This a perfect microcosm of the destruction that the Obama/Biden junta is wreaking on America. It is a malign combination of fecklessness, incompetence, catastrophic geopolitical miscalculation, and contempt for America and its armed forces.

Terror Groups Evacuate Their Positions After Biden Admin Tips Them Off To Their Plans

The Iranian-backed terrorists responsible for murdering three U.S. soldiers, and injuring dozens more, in an attack over the weekend have started to evacuate their bases after President Joe Biden’s administration leaked to the media this week that they are gearing up to respond by carrying out a sustained bombing campaign.

The news comes after NBC News reported on Wednesday that the U.S. retaliatory strikes would be a “campaign” that lasts “weeks,” according to U.S. officials.

The officials went as far as to say that the U.S. would target “Iranian targets outside Iran, and the campaign will involve both strikes and cyber operations,” the report added.

The traditional and appropriate function of the armed forces is to destroy things and kill people. That's how countries win battles and wars. Warning one's enemies that an attack is coming is rarely sound military doctrine, but our current military is an extension of an insane woke culture that predominates in the halls of power. Every decision is carefully calibrated to do the least harm (at least to our enemies) while sending a "message." Death and destruction is the only message that is appropriate in response to a deadly attack on our bases, yet the junta has gone out of its way to prevent that. So in the weeks to come empty warehouses and barracks will be destroyed with what remains of our high-tech weaponry, but the men and their arms will be safe!

This is in obvious service to the geopolitical aims of the rabid anti-Israel faction in the White House and the State Department...strengthen Iran as a foil against Israeli dominance of the region. That has been the goal since 2009 and the ascendance of Barack Obama's political philosophy: hatred of the West, hatred of Israel, hatred of traditional America. The 180 degree turn away from insanity during the Trump administration galvanized the entire Middle East against its common enemy in Tehran...the mad Mullahs who are hellbent on the destruction of Israel, and then America. But the Obama worldview returned with a vengeance with the decrepit, drooling imbecile in 2021!

Perhaps the worst message to emerge from this unfolding fiasco is the contempt for America and Americans that oozes from every orifice in Washington. Those three soldiers were sacrificed on the altar of political expediency, and instead of a swift and terrible response, we get a titrated reaction that is designed to protect the Iranian regime that killed our servicemen.

And the junta isn't even trying to hide it. They simply don't care. They see our armed forces as an extension of their political muscle...a group to be used and discarded...like Antifa or BLM or a pro-abortion protest or a mostly peaceful riot in support of Hamas and another pogrom.

But those soldiers are Americans; their lives are important, and not to be used cavalierly. The proper response would have been a massive and swift campaign that demonstrated the power of the United States military. Anything less than the total destruction of every Islamic Resistance in Iraq facility in Iraq and Syria and the killing of all of its members on those bases will send the unequivocal message that American servicemen are easy targets.

43 Interesting discussion along these lines in R. Heinlein's Starship Troopers. Heinlein has students discuss at what stage do you go to war with Lt. Col. Jean Dubois (MI-ret) asking the Socratic questions.

The sad truth is that political leaders, by and large, treat the points of the spear whether police, military, etc. as expendable to win conflicts. The sociopathic makeup of a lot of political leaders makes disassociation with deaths of minions easy.

That is why Congress was invested with the right to declare war instead of the president in the first place. That was designed to spread the decision making to a number of elected officials instead of a one person. Hasn't worked out that way in practice which is why the US Constitution is not perfect--depends on a population willing to make political leaders toe the line. Absent that, leaders will inevitably push and push until they become tyrants.

But I'll guar-an-damn-tee-ya, that the Feds circulating around it, photographing everyone and every thing and every license plate in a mile radius, ARE.

If you're gonna go, then perhaps make it your mission to photograph all of the obvious feds and glowies. Send the pics to CBD or MisHum, and they can be given a front page here, for all the world to see.

As we have seen, the Donks have control of the voting apparatuses in enough locales to "fortify," the election, couple that with a goofball, illegitimate oppositional party, and the GOP Presidential Candidate has a very, very narrow path to get to 270 EC Votes.

I was reading a book on World War II by an author who's no Sovaboo. He said, unremarkably, that the brunt of fighting the Nazis was borne by the USSR and that the Soviets would have won even without the efforts of the Anglo-Americans or Lend-Lease.

If all that is true, we and the UK should not have lifted a finger to help them after July 22, 1941. We supported a regime that was equally as evil as the one they were fighting, one with whom was in a treaty with the enemy until the invasion.

In Alan Bullock's book Hitler and Stalin: Parallel Lives, he tells of an occasion when Stalin had made some particularly boneheaded military decision. Marshal Zhukov stormed into Stalin's office and read him the riot act about it, and Stalin actually took it, because he knew he had screwed up, and that Zhukov had far better military judgment than he did. But Zhukov was probably the only person in the USSR who could've gotten away with that.

Successful leaders understand that this is necessary.

This is the actual basis behind the "diversity is our strength" argument, which in organizations is actually true to a point. Not the kind of "diversity" the DEI crowd latches onto, but the real thing: diversity of ideas and preconceptions and the like.

In the best case, you end up with what appear to be "yes men" because everyone just agrees about everything. Your idiosyncratic risk surges until something you literally had no ability to see coming eats you for breakfast.

In the worst case, it's based on fear and nobody will raise an idea or an objection no matter what.

Good leaders know that they need to listen. They have to make the ultimate choice, but refusing entire categories of inputs into that choice tends to compound risk over time.

Russia might not have made it if Germany hadn't had to waste a month or so putting down an Anti-Axis coup in Yugoslavia and mopping up the Italians' Greek misadventure. 189 “This is the blue-collar realignment of the Republican Party...for every Karen we lose, there’s a Julio and a Jamal ready to sign up for the MAGA movement,” Gaetz told Newsmax.

Gaetz’s comments reveal something about a Republican belief: misogyny and homophobia, aimed at the stereotype of an educated, liberal, middle-class white woman (a “Karen”, can help the party win over Black and Hispanic men...the idea that Trumpian masculinity might win over a more ethnically diverse constituency is not new. In 2020, the NYT reported Democrats feared Trump’s “macho appeal” to Hispanic men.

The mortar of this coalition is traditional ideas about gender, expressed in hostility toward women and abhorrence of LGBTQ Americans. Gender traditionalism does not necessarily manifest as opposition to equal rights for those who do not adhere to its dictates. One can hold traditional beliefs about gender for religious or ideological reasons and still acknowledge or support the rights of those who do not.

That is one helluva quote that Gaetz gave to Newsmax. But they’ve tried it before and, for the most part, failed.

The story, I've heard, was that Stalin preferred to smoke Dunhill pipes, not cheap even then, and American Edgeworth tobacco, also not bargain-basement. He'd have both smuggled in to him in the diplomatic pouches.

I've also read that he never cleaned his pipes, and once one was worn out (burned through, or smelled so terrible even he couldn't stand it), he'd throw it away and take up another.

This is, I think, one of the reasons why he comes off looking better than Hitler to a lot of people -- because he came across as a normal person, and not an overt weirdo like Hitler.

I doubt it will, but I am also not sure exactly what Gaetz meant. If he meant it this way, then I actually agree with DU - it isn't going to work.

If he meant it as more of, "AWFLs are exactly what they sound like and by fighting them and standing up for things they hate, we can defeat them - so come on in and join us" then perhaps it will be marginally more effective.

But I doubt it. Gaetz is right in essence, but it isn't a message most are interested in buying. Too many traditionalists still have women on a pedestal and too many modern types have worship of women beaten into them. Pointing at AWFLs as a major problem - that is, blaming some women as a bloc - will alienate both types, and that's a hell of a lot of the market.

It's heartbreaking to see the mother of one young lady killed in military action in such distress but also express gratitude to FJB for her daughter receiving a posthumous award to Sargent. Prayers for the deceased, injured and their families.

WTH is going on? Our Federal government isn't running the show. Drummond, the Tides Foundation; the many Soros' and Open Society Foundations (now supporting Ukraine!), Omidyar's Democracy Fund, and so many others are highly influential. (See U.S. State Department sites, for example, where Public-Private Partnerships, stakeholders are in the forefront. Gov. makes board, foundation & commission appointments so it has a hand in, but it isn't running anything but perhaps the most basic programs to keep the bureaucracy intact as few within those agencies/programs now understand governing rules, laws.

Foundations by O, CAP, Demos, etc. influence youth for they're the physical front line of local politics, while the highly educated & trained New American Leaders - with their understanding & vision of what American is supposed to be - become the administrators & politicians.

See the U.S. Citizen Act of 2023, Linda Sanchez

Probably Snoop-Dogg, actually. Most Swift fans are probably already Dems, although a lot are probably not frequent/reliable voters, so Swift could motivate some to vote.

Snoop, on the other hand, endorsing Trump would greatly shift the Overton Window on what is acceptable to do while still being "black". That means a lot, and counts double because it's not just motivating irregular voters, but actively stealing reliable votes from the Dem coalition.

292 278 >>Which would result in more votes:

>>Tay-tay telling her Tards to vote for Biden?

>>Or Snoop Dogg endorsing Trump?

Swift might energize some people on the left to vote but I doubt many conservatives which switch based on her support.

There's a lot of evidence black men in particular are not happy with Joe at all so I can see Snoop actually brining over a few votes.
Posted by: JackStraw
-------
The actual poll involved with Tay Tay question had it about 18 percent more likely to vote for Tay Tay's choice and 17 percent LESS likely to vote for Tay Tay's fav.

Right now, we are in the stray voltage stage of the presidential election year as Trump and Biden are the presumptive nominees and the political press is crazy to drum up interesting stories. So Nikki coverage is way out of proportion, stories of Gavin, Mooch, etc. replacing Biden are floated, and so on.

My advice, which won't be taken, is to ignore most of it and focus on structural issues like the economy, war in the Middle East (elsewhere), and the rolling immigration invasion stories.

I think it would be hard to speculate on his health conditions today, without acknowledging he had a ghoul for a personal doktor who gave him God only knows what as a concoction for his various ailments.

If one takes comfort in knowing it, I have no doubt he suffered greatly in the couple years leading up to his death.

298 The ME262 wasn't that far ahead. Both the British and Americans were developing jet fighters. The swept wings were for COG reasons, extra speed was a fortunate accident.

The big weakness of the Me262 was engines that had to be replaced after 25 hours of use. They didn't have good enough alloys for the turbine blades.

I think blacks distrust established systems more than any other demographic. I remember when the LA Clippers owner was being railroaded for supposedly being a creepy racist, a black dude called Rush and went on a rant about how the guy was being set up. It was all to get him to sell the team to someone the other owners might like more or could make them all more money.

Guy was 100% right, too.

The persecution of Trump will do more than any black entertainer's endorsement.

309 279 Too many traditionalists still have women on a pedestal ...

---------

Wifey and I were actually discussing this last evening.

I was raised to put women on a pedestal, but of course have qualified that over the years to only those women who generally share my conservative values; and I absolutely have come to despise many of the rest, who are now collectively doing a disproportionate amount of harm to our culture AND CHILDREN OF ALL THINGS FOR GOD'S SAKE!

[It's a minor miracle that I don't need blood pressure medication.]
Posted by: ShainS
-----------
Simply put, a large percentage of single women in the West are not much interested in having children and society rewards them for doing so.

A lot of single men might want a committed relationship but aren't able to match that with what women want in their circle.

There is also a disjunction in when women want to have children and what men are available at that time.

Simply put, the West (and most of Asia) is euthanizing itself slowly which is going to have massive consequences in the future for society.

I have a pretty bad central tremor. It is significantly exacerbated by any stimulants. (I drink zero coffee for the entire TXMoMe just so they will allow me on the same range as our actual Moron snipers!)

If Hitler was hopped up on meds, including amphetamines, that could easily make a slight tremor far more visible.
