A Maine judiciary committee is moving to create a 'safe haven' for teens seeking sex changes and protection from their parents but critics have slammed the bill as 'state-sanctioned kidnapping.'
The 'Act to Safeguard Gender Affirming Health Care' would enable certain out-of-state teens to access hormone blockers or surgery without their parents' consent regardless of their own state's laws.
A work session on the bill, LD 1735, was scheduled for Wednesday, but as public outrage grew and with severe weather, it was postponed until January 25.
If passed, LD 1735 would enable certain teens from states that have banned child gender-affirming care- such as Kentucky or Mississippi - to come to Maine, with or without their family, and access treatment.
Opponents have labeled the bill 'state-sanctioned kidnapping' and say it would allow unrelated adults to bring a child to Maine for surgery without a parent's knowledge or permission.

These people need psychiatric counseling for the stew of psychological comorbidities they suffer, not powerful artificial hormones to further wack them out.

Penn State lost a major motion, attempting to get themselves off the hook for a lawsuit about the "university's" virulent anti-white racism.

Jonathan Turley:

In her denial of Penn State's motion in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Judge Bettlestone explored the record, including how the DEI Director emailed all employees 'calling on white people' to 'feel terrible' about their 'own internalized white supremacy' and to 'hold other white people accountable.'" She also noted that the Assistant Vice Provost for Educational Equity "'led the faculty' in a breathing exercise in which she instructed the 'White and non-Black people of color to hold it just a little longer--to feel the pain.'" ...

In the case of Penn State, the school appears set on trying a case that will only increase the costs and negative coverage for the school. It is often the case that administrators lack the courage to challenge DEI programs or material. The alternative of spending potentially millions on litigation and damages can be viewed as rational rather than risking personal backlash for reversing course.

More details of that lawsuit here. A professor is alleging a hostile work environment, based on the obvious anti-white racism the school has adopted as its creed.

Last week, there was some successful pushback against Johns Hopkins "University's" repulsive racism.

Yes. A few years ago I was in conversation with a woman who was a child psychologist for a school district in South Carolina. Out of curiosity, I asked her, what was the number one issue that brought kids into her office?

Her answer: The parents. Parents brought their kids in and tried to get the psychologists to diagnose them with learning disabilities. That way, the kid would get extra time on tests and special access and treatment. Often, there was nothing wrong with the kid-- Usually they were just lazy or (horror of horrors!) actually just kinda average intelligence and that's why they weren't getting straight A's.

Remember that certain groups value social cred and clout much more than dudes on AoS are likely to. Having a Special Angel child, who's just *so* much work, but they're worth it and you just love them so much and give so much of yourself... Yeeeeaaaaahhh I think you get the picture.

I can't argue with that, but it has been a slow news time, so my conjecture is that that is what filler looks like for them.

The real test of the Daily Mail is this: when something significant has happened, and you read the US sources, and you get the impression that they are withholding things, or have missed the real part of some story, and you go to the Daily Mail, do they have the story that the US media would not tell? Do they have the pictures that the US media would not show?

If they start failing that test, I will stop reading them.

Even if he's self-employed there are two levers, referrals from colleagues and hospital privileges. What hospital your doctor has privileges at tells the doctor shopper a lot about his standing.
Does he have privileges at the best hospital or the one out on the highway on the other side of the tracks?
Go against the grain and your privileges are pulled.

A big part of the Haley surrogate speech on Monday night was that she was a "SuperMom" especially when her husband was deployed, and the speaker could relate to that because he was married to a SuperMom himself.

Now I really feel bad for the guy and hope that no one draws the inference that he thinks of fidelity that same way Darling Nikki does.

It is a much greater percentage than the general population, and it is unusually the less developmentally challenged, that is the brighter ones, who succumb . I have my ideas why. Suffice to say parents won’t step in because it is difficult enough to raise an auristic child never mind a mentally ill one, and service organizations will play along because they are quite often staffed with female SJW’s, and playing along is easier than trying to set the patient on the right track. My heart hurts for these people.

Agree. When we look back on this, years from now, it's possible that the summary will be "a bunch of autistic children were conned into thinking they must be transgender." And only because they were the most vulnerable marks for the con.
