Film Threat: Animators Blow the Whistle on the Racist, Anti-White Hell Of DEIsney Studios
Woke Transgender Healthy-At-Any-Size Sports Illustrated Fires Either a "Significant" Portion of Its Staffs, or All of Them

After Film Threat's Alan Ng posted a review of Wish -- which has made only $67 million domestically, after an entire month in theaters -- calling it "the worst animated film in Disney's history," Disney animators, both current and escaped, contacted him to share their experiences in DEIsney. All white men are being driven out, and those who aren't fired are made uncomfortable enough that they either retire or leave to work for computer game companies or the like.

The first article about the reports of Disney's animators, fleeing a regime in which it is common to hear coworkers announce "Pale and male is stale," is here. It's about the first moves towards moving out the Old White Men to replace them with DEIsney diversity hires. The first move was getting rid of Pixar legend John Lasseter -- for allegedly hugging women and similar "abuses" that sound, at worse, to be annoyances that could be taken care of with an HR meeting and a boot in his ass.

Though we have no details regarding what happened to John during this time, other high-profile Disney firings included lengthy "struggle sessions" and high-pressure sensitivity training that I will highlight in future reports....

It became apparent within the walls of Disney that anyone supporting Lasseter must immediately go into protection mode by keeping their questions and opinions to themselves. The office culture at the House of Mouse changed drastically overnight. Sources observed that the mood was grim, going from bad to worse. The warm family environment would never return. Regarding Lasseter's innocence or guilt, our sources did not outright believe or not believe the accusation against Lasseter, but they had questions. Questions that they knew would never be answered. Alternately, many felt that an activist faction within the company was growing and conspiring to remove Lasseter, and his inappropriate behavior was the perfect weapon to use against him. Now, it was a matter of how to frame these stories for maximum effect.

So now it appeared the pieces were in place with certain executives wanting to oust Lasseter and a growing faction within the rank-and-file pressing forward with a stack of allegations against him that to this day goes unprosecuted and unproven. With pressure from the top and bottom, in June 2018, Lasseter announced that he would leave the company at the end of the year. One source told us that during an all-hands meeting, once the announcement was made, a female employee raised her hand and asked, "Can we have a woman run this place now?"

The DEI brigades barely bother hiding it -- allegations against White Men are just made to move "Pale Males" out of jobs, so that the DEI crowd (mostly white leftwing women, most of the time) can take them.

DEIsney then set out to... erase John Lasseter, a man who had made them more of a billion dollars, from the DEIsney record books.

The message was clear -- John Lasseter left the Walt Disney Company an utter and total disgrace. Disney Legend...forget it. In fact, moves have been made within the halls of Disney to remove his legacy as if he never existed. Anything that reminded the rank-and-file of Lasseter was removed from plain sight. Are Hawaiian shirts even allowed to be worn on campus anymore? Or heaven forbid, you should utter the phrase, "When John was here..." Publicly, it's not much better. I recently mentioned John's name to a Disney-fanatic friend, and their instant retort was, "he's a bad man."

The worst part of the entire experience was the leadership vacuum created by John's absence. Our sources describe life at Disney afterward as hostile--to say the least--and this hostility spread to all of Disney's business units and brands. Cast Members felt like they were constantly walking on eggshells. The mere act of casting doubt or asking questions about the allegations was met with hostility. You became a marked person, subjected to mind-numbing HR meetings and forced sensitivity training. It gets worse.

...

Though he was never officially charged with formal harassment claims or indictment, and we have very little evidence one way or the other, our sources point to the talent who eventually defected from Disney and followed Lasseter to Skydance Animation as an indicator of the veracity of allegations laid against him.

Now Film Threat has released their second exposee on DEIsney. This is about the culture of fear that now reigns in the animation departments.

Because the DEI enforcement officers want it that way.

If there was ever a time to radically change Disney from the inside, that time was now. With Lasseter out of the way, he was replaced at Disney Animation by Jennifer Lee and Pete Docter at Pixar... Still, in the case of Disney Animation, radical changes needed to be made in the racial and gender makeup of its leadership and creative process. This change began with Raya and the Last Dragon.

This was Lasseter's last film, so they began changing wholesale to erase his paternity of it. They also began firing the people producing it, Briggs and Wellins, because they "didn't fit the correct demographic."

Rumor has it that Lee was gunning for Briggs and Wellins by foisting impossible tasks on them to either get them fired or, better yet, force them to quit. Being the veteran talent that they were, the traps didn't work. Briggs was demoted to "co-director," and Wellins was given a Disney+ series to direct.

...

From here, Raya and the Last Dragon turned from being a traditional Disney animated production to slowly transforming into Disney's first DEI test case. Step one was to load the entire project with female South Asian animators and talent from within the company, then female Asian animators, then female POC animators, and the rest. But that wasn't enough. Rather than pull in other artists from within, a major recruitment push was made to hire more women from outside the company to reach a 50/50 male/female balance for equity's sake.

...

Sources tell us that with Raya and the Last Dragon, the goal wasn't to bring diversity, equity, and inclusion into the existing community of Disney animators but to replace it with a radicalized group of female activists completely.

[One] source also told us that once she expressed concerns about the mission of WiA, she found herself blacklisted from the industry (a prevalent story we've heard) and felt that WiA and similar organizations had become the gatekeepers for women to enter animation. It's not enough as an animator to be a talented female person of color; you have to be "WiA-Approved" and toe the line.

Another example of this new activist culture is the formation of a segregated women's committee that meets regularly to pitch ideas, network, vent, look at storyroom strategies, listen to guest speakers, and empower each other to take on leadership roles. Many of these sessions are sponsored by WiA and strictly for "female-identifying and non-binary people." Can you imagine going into a creative meeting knowing that half the room has already made all the decisions beforehand?

These meetings are literal war rooms as so-called creative sessions are now considered battlefields. Now, imagine if you disagreed with one of their ideas. Shots fired! I'm sure there's a large bag of "ists" nearby to hurl your way.

More at the link. Ng concludes:

The mission of DEI is not equality...it's revenge. The final outcome is a complete takeover...a reset...of the entertainment industry as a whole.

The next update, he says, will be about the culture of fear extending to even DEIsney cast members. (That is, people wearing Mickey Mouse suits at the parks.)

And speaking of woke animation: Amazon decided to make a child-friendly cartoon portraying Satan as the hero and God the villain of the War in Heaven.

Yeah, I'm cancelling Amazon Prime. Not just for this dumb leftwing cultural provocation, but for the fact that almost all of their content is shit.

I've had it since the mid-2000s, but I don't watch their crap movies or TV shows and Prime shipping is available on fewer and fewer products and arrives on time less and less. Honestly I cannot remember watching something "free" on Amazon Prime. Oh right -- I watched a handful of old episodes of Leverage on FreeVee some months ago, but I don't think that's the same a Amazon Prime. And I watched The Boys over a year ago.

But it was a zombie-watch. Who cares about the nth iteration of Evil Superman any longer? Now that we're all collectively over superhero movies, do we have any further need of subversions of and commentaries on superhero movies? When the My Pet Rock fad ended, I'm pretty sure people stopped consuming media that commented on the My Pet Rock fad, too.

I mean, the most interesting thing in The Boys season 3 is that they featured an Avengers parody team to go along with their standard Justice League parody team. And that was okay, but I don't even care about the real Avengers any longer -- do I care about a parody Avengers, then?

So I guess I'm paying $140 per year so I can watch Rings of Power.* Pass. #NotMyGaladriel

I have an idea which I do not know if I will do anything with. Basically the idea is "Return to the Real." Real interactions with people, really going places.

I went shopping somewhere a couple of weeks ago and though, "Isn't this nice? Actually going to a store and seeing the products I intend to buy?"

David Bowie said that when he was recovering from drug addiction, just doing normal things, like shaving, helped him through it. Maybe we're all addicted to the instant-gratification machine called the internet, and need to get back to doing normal things.

* I know, I know: Reacher is said to be good (haven't tried it yet) and the Chris Pratt Terminal List was decent, and maybe they're doing another season. I don't know.

But I'm not paying $140 per year so I can theoretically maybe watch Reacher one day.

Most of what Amazon produces is woke effeminate trash. The Girlboss head of production turned down a Conan the Barbarian series which followed the literary Conan because it was too violent and too "sexist."

Instead she made the Girlboss Trash Wheel of Time travesty.

I just don't want to support these people in any way. If I don't stop giving them money, they'll continue thinking they're doing Really Good Jobs.

Update: One thing I wanted to keep was Amazon Music Unlimited. I can keep that without Prime. I just have to pay an extra dollar per month.

They're oh so clever and cute, aren't they. Given the quality of their sloganeering, I'd say that the quality of their story-telling is exactly in line with expectations.

That's what I tell folks of all political persuasions every day.

This weekend, kid went out to shovel the neighborhood "just because" (and b/c I had already shoveled our walkway and van out - the van being the sucky part). She ended up with $10 and Cheesecake Factory cheesecake from 2 separate neighbors, who were just thankful they didn't need to get a shovel out that day.

People can be very good. If you aren't somewhere they are, if you can, you should move. If you can't, get in the habit of walking every day and see if you can turn your neighborhood around. I think 3/4 of my neighborhood and 1/2 the neighborhoods on my path now know me b/c I pass their houses. And now, they sometimes get out and walk, too.

31 The other think AP is doing is having less and less of their shows available without ads. The unencumbered content shrinks every week, so that even if you scroll through, looking for something to watch, only a small fraction of the things you see are ad-less or free. Screw that.

It isn't about revenge. For vengeance, there must have been a wrong committed. If someone kills your father and you kill him (or his family, or ruin his life, etc.), that is revenge. If you just hate a guy and kill him because you hate him, that isn't revenge - it's just malicious thrill-killing.

"Equity" is the latter. The people pushing it and implementing it were not wronged by those they destroy. They weren't harmed by those they attack. They weren't explicitly enabled nor were the preferentially treated, but they were not *harmed.*

This isn't vengeance. It's malicious thrill-killing.

57 42 Prime's selections have gotten bad... Netflix is even worse.

Almost every single show is girl power...

=========

Netflix has made moves recently acquiring licenses for a bunch of old movies, mostly from 1974. There's this sudden urge on their part to get and promote the fact that they have older content, too, essentially trying to advertise that they are now what they originally were before Netflix started making their own content.

The streaming thing is a massive, massive bubble, and these companies are losing their shirts on it. Some can handle it better than others (Apple can spend $200 million on Martin Scorsese's newest movie because they make $1 billion a day in revenue) while others are obviously pulling back (Disney massive cut streaming costs last year).

They are fighting to be king of a small mound of shit.

60 15 The worst part of the entire experience was the leadership vacuum created by John's absence.

2) There are enough churches of Satan in NY State that they have a hierarchy.

109 Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime is pretty good. Jeremy Clarkson spent a good chunk of his TV earnings on a big chunk of farmland in England, and he decided that he's going to farm it himself instead of paying someone else to do it. Season One is about how hard and unrewarding farming is. Seasons two and three shift more to how his attempts to earn money (and help his fellow farmers earn money) keep running afoul of the local Town council, and its heavy-handedness.

I've heard there's a fourth season being made.

You are, at absolute *best,* confusing "racism" with "bigotry." This is not true and it represents a low-resolution view of society. Racism is entirely a function of power as it relates to race.

In a white-dominated ethnonormative society like those found in the West, the power - social, corporate, economic, political, cultural, etc. - is with whites. The structures that whites create are to benefit whites, at the expense of non-whites. The non-whites are disempowered by the white-dominated structures and system that are in place to give an unearned benefit to whites as a function purely of their whiteness. Racism is systemic and structural as a result of the power center created for the permanent structural advantage of white people.

If a non-white person hates a white person, it is not - and cannot be - "racist" because of the continued imbalance of power. If anything, racial hatred of non-whites by whites has its root cause in white racism.

Clear?

Having read 3 of the books, watched the Cruise movies, and watched the TV show, I can say that I think Cruise did the better version of Reacher. Yes, he is not the correct size, but Cruise's performance is way better.

For the TV actor, I actually can't suspend disbelief when someone the size of shwartzenneger is supposed to just naturally be that muscular. No, his body is such that he spends at least 2 hours a day in the gym and takes steroids. Thus, the nomad lifestyle of Reacher is an impossibility.

Yeah, I've been watching Leverage: Redemption on FreeVee while I knit, and it is not as good as the original. The characters have a lot of potential, but Harry Wilson (Noah Wyle) is used as a plot device/bookend, the geeky little sister is woke and bi/pan/fluid/whatever (the show never specifies, pretty sure they don't want to scare away the fans of the original), and the Parker/Hardison dynamic is mostly absent because Hardison is, well, mostly absent.

Forget it. The Bloody 100th is an 8th Air Force unit based in England. But the trailers are constantly pushing footage of the Tuskegee Airmen implying there is a serious linkage.

There is none, only circumstantial. The Tuskegee pilots belonged to the 15th Air Force in Italy.

The only time the men of the 100th might have seen the 'Red Tails' was during the Operation Frantic missions that occurred after D-Day. The 8th AF only conducted three of these shuttle missions to Russia, Italy, and finally England while bombing Germany on each trip. IIRC the 100th only participated in two of these missions. And each time the 8th AF did, their fighter escorts came from VIIIth Fighter Command in England.

200 The lovely and curious Mrs naturalfake wanted to watch a series on Netflix that she'd heard from friends was great.

The series is titled, "Money Heist".

In which a team of criminals led by "The Professor", rob the Spanish Gov't mint. Later, there's another season where the team rob the Spanish Nat'l Treasury.

There's a pretty good mix of action and girly relationship scenes, budding romances and that sort of thing. Basically, it an action series for you ladies.

Some nice twists, minimal woke content at first but it grows with each season as all the gals become Mary Sue and all the guys become weak or lunkheads, and teh gay and trannies get their time.

It's a bit weird in some ways cuz Spanish culture is quite a bit different than American culture.

Mrs naturalfake watches intently and is really enjoying it. I have fallen asleep several times but because the series is loaded with flashback and relationship moments so that long periods where nothing of consequence happen make it easy for me to wake up and pretty much know what's going on.

Apparently, this is a worldwide hit and the Koreans have made their own version that's playing on Netflix(!) too.

Check it out.

203 Forget it.

So yeah fvck this rewriting of history.

You have all these people in society with no purpose. No religion, no family, ...

With that in mind, it must be really hard to look at all the "power structures" in society - businesses, arts, politics, science,.... and see mostly white men.

And what can you blame it on? Everyone knows a black woman has a much better shot at getting into a good school, landing the choice job, getting the promotion -- it has been that way for decades. So what do you blame it on? Some unseen force -- systemic racism. And it must make you eat you liver to know that even though minorities are favored they still don't get to the top.

275 For $300 we bought one of those streaming boxes, and can watch all of the Amazon shows you are paying for thru Prime. Matter of fact, we just finished the second season of Reacher, and it was, indeed, worth the watch.
Something you might wish to consider. P.S. Ours is a Streambox 2, in case you are interested.

276 Don't want to pay Amazon for their mediocre content ?

Hoist the black flag and get it all for free. I no longer worry if Disney's crap is *worth* watching, I'm not paying them a penny. Same for the Apple cult, despite the fact that they make pretty good stuff.

I figure all the morons buying overpriced iPhones are subsidizing me watching it for free.

And its easy - Stremio, Real-Debrid, and Torrentio. I had it working about 10 years ago as just a Plex addon, but this is even easier.

277 Wymen with 99 cats and deep inferiority complexes make for disguising tv. Its like watching the view in cartoon version.

278 Time for a clean sweep at Disney and for DEI and the groomers to be sent to Harvard.

279 Totally agree on the "return to the real". We just have to do this. Esp. anyone with kids, it's extremely important.

280 I have a relative who worked as an animator at Disney. Visited him at work (another studio before the Mouse hired him).
Once a week everyone gets together to watch and critique everyone's work, animation, texture, whatever.
He told me it was done with sincerity and had to be honest to make a great movie.
How likely is any of that when people are afraid of anything one says being used against them?
Recipe for disaster.
My animator relative is working elsewhere, helping a Disney competitor try to make good movies.

281 I read the WoT series and mostly enjoyed it, although Jordan padded the absolute fuck out of nearly every paragraph in every book.

While the first season on Prime was barely okay, the second season is actually better than books it's based on, IMO. The girlboss aspect, such as it is, is straight from the books, and frankly it's a veneer over the fact Rand al'Thor is the reincarnation of the most powerful person to ever exist, and he's starting to come into that legacy. Despite the pretended doubts that some characters express as to just who the actual Dragon might be.

282 I haven't watched much of anything on TV in several months. I'm better for it. I was a television producer and executive for 25 years...one of my last endeavors was a deal with Disney when Jeff Katzenberg was there. He completely screwed us and so many other when he decided to cancel a series we had ... "because." He went to then ABC head, Bob Iger, and got us cancelled and Bob - courageous man that he is - just went along. Bob took me out to lunch after to try and "make nice." Nothing nice about any of it...and the idea that Bob can save Disney now... Boy is that funny!

283 Reacher WAS sorta kinda good in its first season. But honestly, it just made me appreciate how Tom Cruise owned that role even though it was supposed to be played by a big muscle head.
The second season of Reacher is just boring. Formulaic. Predictable. Low charisma characters. Booooring.

284 I think you're missing the point on Hazbin Hotel, Ace. The intro is being told from Charlie's perspective. Check out the original pilot made a few years ago to see how it's changed. Also, on YT check out the other series set in the same universe, Helluva Boss.

285 Why even bother with Amazon music? I find I'm ok with a free Spotify account and none of my money ends up in Bezos's girlfriends butt.

286 To be fair, Amazon is not selling "Hazbin Hotel" as "child friendly." It's considered an adult cartoon, and is lavishly stuffed with R-rated images and language.

287 If you're paying for subscriptions, you are owned.

Dumped cable 13 years ago
Dumped Netflix 3 years ago
Dumped Amazon 2 years ago

Enjoy visiting used book stores and buying physical media which they can't erase.

288 >[The new] Leverage isn't as good as the original

Yeahhhhh...the original Leverage was showrun by a former D&D nerd, and he's on record as saying he designed the show around D&D adventure concepts. Unfortunately, one of those concepts is wanton, consequenceless violence.

Go rewatch the original and take note of the sheer number of competely innocent people who get bankrupted, crippled, or otherwise have their life destroyed merely due to collateral damage. The closest thing the show ever gets to acknowledging this is in S03, when an investor asks for a heads up when the team is going to go after a company so he can short it.

The show is unabashedly anti-corporation, to the extent that merely working for one is apparently enough to justify any collateral damage from having your livelihood destroyed from underneath you.

The reason so many classic heist films show crooks ripping off other crooks is so you don't feel bad for the targets. Leverage never stopped to think twice about it.
