Freed Hostages: Palestinian "Civilians" Participated In Our Kidpapping Every Step of the Way

What is it that Hamas says...? Oh yes: There is no such thing as an Israeli civilian, because they're all (theoretically) subject to draft in the IDF. Therefore they're all combatants and therefore we can kill them all, men, women, and children.

Well, all Palestinians are Hamas collaborators.

Does the same rule apply?

Former Hamas hostages are now reporting that those poor innocent Palestinian "civilians" were their active kidnappers during their kidnapping.

Andrew Tobin for the Free Beacon:

Israeli women and children have in recent weeks begun speaking publicly about what they experienced during nearly two months in Hamas captivity late last year.
In primetime Hebrew TV interviews,
When the Israelis encountered Gazans on the streets, the results were often terrifying.
The revelations underscore the urgency of Israel's 100-plus-day war to destroy Hamas and bring home the 132 hostages who, officials believe, remain captive in Gaza. At the same time, though, the released hostages' accounts indicate how difficult it could be to extricate either the remaining hostages or Hamas from a radicalized population.
"The main issue is that the organization is very much melted into the social structure of Gaza," Michael Milshtein, a former senior Israeli military intelligence officer and a leading expert on Hamas, told the Washington Free Beacon. "There is no way you can really know who is Hamas. Someone might have a grocery store where he sells tomatoes and water, but he might also have storehouse of weapons and give religious lessons there."

And his wife and kids might be keeping an Israeli hostage at home.

So, by Hamas' logic, there is no such thing as a "Palestinian civilian" and all are valid targets for bombing, right?

Right?

"Hamas is not only a political matter in Gaza. It's a way of life," Milshtein said. "We can and should ruin Hamas militarily and change the political arena in Gaza. But ultimately the Gazan people will have to do some soul searching. And here in the Arab world, not only the Palestinians, soul searching is very rare."

The IDF found the bodies of three hostages in a Hamas terror tunnel.

The three hostages were Sgt. Ron Sherman, Cpl. Nik Beizer and Elia Toledano, according to The Times of Israel. The IDF reportedly struck the tunnel where these hostages were held to target Ahmed Ghandour, Hamas' Northern Gaza Brigade commander. However, the IDF did not know the three Israelis were there, the outlet reported.

Here's a (rhetorical) question: Why are #MeToo feminists, who cancelled people and destroyed lives over hugs, completely silent on Hamas' use of rape and Jack-the-Ripper-like genital mutilation as a terror weapon?

"There has been no prominent rallying cry from our prominent women's organizations," Weiss said, name checking the National Organization for Women as one egregious example. "Instead, there has been silence.
"Silence from the leaders of the MeToo movement," she added, although that group partially dissolved following the news that it consulted with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on allegations he sexually harassed multiple women.
"Silence from the celebrities who spoke at the Women's March and in Time's Up," Weiss said. "Silence from those who denounce pay gaps and Harvey Weinstein and Trump's 'grab them by the p****y comments and rape culture more generally.
"Silence from the people who opposed Brett Kavanaugh's nomination for the Supreme Court," she added.

10 Just read an article from the Times of Israel that Blinken brought a peace proposal to Israel and was turned down flat.

Netanyahu said he opposes any Palestinian state, and he'll push ahead with war until all of Hamas is defeated. That means for the civilians in Gaza is more death and destruction. Unless Bibi is stopped, he will bomb gaza until there is no infrastructure left to support a population and in the process murder hundreds of thousands of civilians.

Arabs and western powers are offering Israel an opportunity for peace. They are refusing it. Again. Bibi is the one who bragged on the that he deliberately blew up the Oslo Accords to prevent a Palestinian state.

I imagine Blinken's pretty sick and tired of the whole thing, but he knows how important it is to document every offer of assistance that is made and rejected. But, yeah, there are plenty of pea brains that still think this should be a cinch.

- No return of anyone to Gaza (or at least not to north Gaza)
- No two state solution

So, where do they want these people to go? Do they have a plan? I suspect the plan is to have the US and EU import them, which is worse. (They think muslims are a problem now, wait until they control the US military)

So seriously, those who say no two state solution, well OK, what is their plan?

I once stayed for work in a seaside result just north of Jaffa in Israel. Gaza is about 55 km south. The beach there was a resort then.

The problem then was the missiles being fired from Lebanon in the north, which wasn't that much farther off.

As I said, silly fellow, using a poll as evidence in a non free society without a rule of law is foolish. Then I said that Gazans do not differ from Hamas on killing Jews.

There were polls before the Nicaraguan Sandinista Commie Elections that they were massively favored. They lost the election massively while Jimmy Carter fumed.

But despite all that, not all of the Gazans are guilty of anything other than wrong think rather than murder and collective punishment is a poor policy. Somebody should be thinking of a way out besides having one side or the other killed to the last man woman or child.

I don't know who does or doesn't love Hamas. I just know it's a lot easier to love the radicals, when it doesn't cost you anything.

I would assume polling data (which, hey, need we be reminded, often is bullshit?) will change somewhat, from before to after the Israeli operation.

These people need to get integrated into bigger countries, like Egypt or even Iran, where while still a high degree of hate, there addres many who don't feel the same way.

On this issue, I'm so disappointed to see Eric Clapton doing a benefit for "the children of gaza" who does he think that money will go to, cause it sure ain't the children.

Israel is fighting a war at the moment and some get caught in the crossfire. After it is over, then you still have the problem of the civilians, with no government, itching to attack Israelis. I'm not sure what the answer to it, but it won't be good even for the winners if the answer is slaughter.
