What needs to happen is more comprehensive. We have to stop being such a juicy target. Make the juice not worth the squeeze. Some of this requires broad-spectrum, federal action. Those things are off the table. The feds should be enforcing "remain in Mexico" or an equivalent. The feds should be deporting people aggressively. The feds should be building a wall and securing the border. The feds should be cutting off so-called "sanctuary" cities and states. The feds should be restricting foreign aid to Latin America and imposing trade retribution until they knock it off. They should do these things and more, but they won't. The Federal Government despises the United States and her people. They want new people, so they're all-in on this colonization.
But the feds are also not the only players. There are things that can be done at the state and local levels to make your place unappealing to illegal aliens. Where there are local laws that mandate services for illegals - like NYC's laws that they must be sheltered or CA's new laws that extend MediCal to them - agitate to get those laws repealed. The two places cited are dead letters already, but if you have similar rules or laws in your town, fight to have them changed. Lobby to pass laws explicitly forbidding services for illegal aliens. Without proof of citizenship or legal residence, don't allow enrollment into public schools. Do not issue them IDs. Do not provide multilingual government services. Agitate to pass laws mandating English only and defund ESL programs. Forbid the provision of any government service to illegal aliens. EMTALA is a Federal problem, but it doesn't need to be compounded locally. Do not extend any state benefits (including Medicaid) to anyone without proof of legal status. Forbid "housing assistance" for illegals, starting at the local level in your city or county. Demand that the local authorities go after those who employ illegal aliens. The feds won't be enforcing work rules, but the local and state authorities can. Do not turn over criminal aliens to ICE so they can be released back into the country, arrest and prosecute them and put them in prison if convicted. Turn them over to ICE once the sentence is served. The border problem is primarily federal, but there are no solutions there. What can improve your daily life and your average condition is ignoring the feds and their hatred, and pushing your local authorities to make where you live as miserable as possible for illegals. That doesn't solve the national problem, but it can help address the local problem. Throw up every obstacle you can think of. Some will fail in court, some will buckle under protests, some will succeed. Even when something passes but gets overturned or repealed under protest pressure, it sends a message to the illegals that they are not wanted in your town. Where you can and in any way you can, push your local authorities to make your area unappealing to illegal aliens.Comments

None of us have done enough. I have seen some "independent" news reporters actually go to the border in Texas, and film this. If the Mainstream Asshole Media covered it like this, the country would be outraged. But....silence.
Illegals running in, child and human trafficking for sex slaves (Biden and his cronies are in on this, making money), running drugs unimpeded over the border (democrats and republicans probably both getting paid off for this), and it goes on and on.

EMTALA is a prime example of unintended consequences. The reason for EMTALA was to solve a corner-case problem, which was emergency transport to hospitals when the patient's insurance status or ability to pay could not be determined. In many areas, unknown patients (John Does, people without medical insurance cards, etc.) would be transported to the nearest charity or public hospital, not the nearest hospital. In some cases, this additional time to, for example, get across town to the Catholic hospital instead of the private hospital half a mile away could (and rarely but sometimes did) result in avoidable mortality.
EMTALA was designed to fix that by mandating that hospitals *must* accept emergency patients no matter what, and get them stabilized before transferring them if they chose to initiate a patient transfer.
It had fairly dramatic knock-on effects.

My daughter broke her arm, both bones, so we rushed her to the ER. There were a handful of people in the waiting area and they told us it would be over an hour before they would even get her back for an x-ray. We have no idea what the extent of the damage was, so we were a bit upset with that news. The people in the waiting room told the nurse to give her their spot in line to hurry the process.
Finally, a man said "That's BULLSHIT! Go across the street to the Urgent Care." So we did. They got her in immediately and started treatment. She had surgery and rods inserted 2 days later.
Big Hospital sucks.

I agree. Just wondering how it would be done. Shove them physically across the border and then secure the border militarily (fine by me) and with a finally built wall? I guess that it would have to be multi-pronged - deny all benefits except for emergencies. Any US cities crying about that can then have them shipped there no matter how many. I live in a biggish city and many do including the one right across from the hospital. I have the same absolute crap brokebackbarry high deductible plan that everyone was humiliated into so it doesn't even matter where I go price wise. But urgent care where you actually have to be a paying customer has little wait.

Also, I've regularly attended two Catholic churches in the past year, and both are chock full of young families. My two boys are actually representative of some of the smaller sets of children.
The future is there for those that show up, which is part of the reason our elites want outside immigration to make things up, but I'm not sure if the left having a demographic collapse because they refuse to or can't have more children is necessarily an overall bad thing for America.

I posted about it a couple of nights ago, but this is extremely common. Common to the point that I'm shocked people don't personally know anyone who has done it.
I've got $100 that says he was humanely catching them in a live animal trap and carrying them to a faraway park or wooded area so that they would stop destroying his siding, bird feeders, etc., and he started painting a tail because he recognized one or two that came back after he carried them far away and it's interesting to see the same squirrel come back from two to five miles away.
Now he'll just kill every one that enters his yard with a quiet BB gun fired from inside the house.
Yay, they saved the squirrels.

It's not popular to point this out, but you can't send people to another nation unless that nation is willing and agrees to accept them, or unless you are willing to declare War on that nation. Generally true...but just south of West Chester is Grace Winery. Their 1754 b bottle is a solid Cab blend. It's also a nice way to spend a Summer afternoon. The rose is quaffable.
Also Folino Estates in Kutztown. The whites are forgettable, but the Lorenzo Forte is a nice, big red - Cab Sauv and Cab Franc blend.

That is why it matters who is president. When Trump was president a number of foreign automakers threatened to move some of their manufacturing out of the US to Mexico.
Trump told them if they did he would hit all of their cars manufactured in Mexico with huge tariffs which would make them more expensive than if they were built in the US. The jobs did not move.
We give an enormous amount of money to Latin American countries and what do we get for it? Illegals. Take back your illegals, stop the flow or no money.

A few decades ago, yes. But now they have no choice. And a lot of the younger Chinese people are much more open to inter-racial dating and marriage than their parents or grandparents. It was indeed an urban legend. The Nova actually sold well in Mexico and other parts of Latin America. Latin customers didn't conflate "no va" ("no go") with the name "Nova" (which I believe means the same in Spanish as it does in English).

Do that a few times, and the jobs dry up. Deny any sort of gov't assistance to illegals other than to return home. 90% will self-deport. Wages for people who can legally work will rise as demand tightens the job market.
Might cost more to get a new roof done, etc., but the benefits will be worth it, for everyone, in the long run.

I don't know about visitors but on a work permit there's Form I-90. More important than a passport (ask me how I know). On leaving the USA permanently it is supposed to be collected.
Apparently nobody asks for it at departure points. So the system is there but just like all the other immigration laws, not actually implemented or enforced or both.

Most of our squads here are volunteer. My wife has been a volunteer EMT for 25 years with a local squad. No charge for the transport. They survive on donations and some assistance from the town.

The feds should have been enforcing immigration laws since the 1980s. But they have not. And they will not. Because they do not want to. THAT is the problem.
I gave up on the GOP during the Amnesty push by Bush 43, Lindsey Gramnesty and John McCain in 2006. I had only been politically aware since 09/12/2001 and 5 years later the GOP had exposed themselves to me as frauds and criminals and liars. That was 18 years ago. Nothing has changed for the better and everything has just gotten exponentially worse.
We are not a nation of laws. Probably have not ever been in my lifetime (1976). I was red-pilled on 09/11/2001. I have been black-pilled since December 2020.
