What Garay hinted at during the call, but didn't disclose, was that Moderna already had a sprawling media operation in place aimed at identifying and responding to critics of vaccine policy and the drug industry
++++ I would be surprised if the biggest non-government player in this was Moderna. Moderna is a one-trick pony. They have mRNA, and nothing else. The obvious use case for mRNA is vaccines, and vaccines are both controversial *and* low-margin. To get off the ground Moderna needed successful vaccines to bankroll the more lucrative research for mRNA (cancer treatments spring immediately to mind). That Moderna had a "sprawling media operation" before COVID was even a thing is not even remotely surprising. Moderna had to (still has to) thread a very small needle. Why didn't they shut down the President who said this:
"You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” Or the CDC Director who said: "Data have emerged again that [demonstrate] that even if you were to get infected during post vaccination that you can’t give it to anyone else" And: “Our data from the CDC today suggests that vaccinated people do not carry the virus, don’t get sick.” That is some weapons grade misinformation Posted by: Jay in PA at January 18, 2024 03:53 PM (i7Q7S) 13

PGP, which was funded by a $1,275,000 donation from the Biotechnology and Innovation Organization, a lobby group representing Pfizer and Moderna, has identified alleged vaccine misinformation and helped facilitate the removal of content from Twitter, among other social media platforms, throughout 2021 and 2022.
++++ And that's where the problem is. If people want to spend money on open-source intelligence gathering and market research (often a very fine line between the two), they are welcome to. If Moderna then takes that information and tries to tailor a campaign to counter those people who say things that Moderna doesn't like, that's fine. Well within their rights. But taking that information and then doing a back-room deal with communications operators to suppress it is absolutely unacceptable and total bullshit. I develop software that facilitates the capture of clinical trial data for cleaning (and when I say cleaning, I mean things like making sure that a site didn't enter a patient's heart attack that happened before they were born) and analysis. We're constantly trying to figure out ways to facilitate quicker and better data acquisition. The latest push is to basically directly import your medical records into our clinical databases once you signed a trial informed consent. I'm sure that sounds "evil" to you - however the technology we use has completely stripped any kind of PII from the data - your identifier is a GUID - random collection of numbers and letters. Of the many things that pissed me off about what happened during COVID is that government claims were made that had no basis in the research whatsoever.
The protocol "template" for all COVID vaccine trials were basically the same - part of Operation Warp Speed was that every vaccine candidate basically used the same protocol (dosing, schedule of events, etc etc). It was great because during the study startup phase - a step that usually takes about 8 weeks (Clinical Trial Database setup) took about... oh 2 days because it was literally copy and paste from the other dozen studies we already setup. Well, the fishy smell started to get really rank when someone on Team Fauci (who, I have a familial personal beef with) said that if you got the shot, you couldn't give the koof to someone else. This was completely and utterly a bullshit statement - as soon as I heard it because absolutely NONE of the clinical trials measured this - they couldn't by virtue of the fact that all of them were still double-blinded at the time. I'm reading an article on MSN about how productivity and corporate moral are down.
They aren't sure what to attribute it to, but they mention the "sluggish" economy in passing. Now...the Bideneconomy, which the FNM tells us, falsely is great is a big concern, but I'll be honest that focused me MORE on my job. Changing jobs in a good economy is easy...in a bad economy much harder. So let me suggest what the problem is: 1) The clot shot. At most corporations the company demanded people inject themself with poison solely to ingratiate themselves with the government 2) DIE. We went from don't discriminate to white straight men are evil and won't be promoted if we can at all avoid it. Posted by: 18-1 at January 18, 2024 04:08 PM (ibTVg) 97

My number one opposition to the damn mRNA shots. They are not a vaccine, in any way that we understood them. It makes sense to give your body a weakened - live or dead - virus to train your own immune system. It makes no sense to me to give a gene therapy to stimulate your body to replicate a spike protein. Every darn thing "they" told us to try to 'sell' the vaccines was against basic biology. Everything. ( Oh, if you get the clot shot in your arm, it NEVER goes anywhere else in the body, but remains at the injection site!")
And they were like the gestapo trying to foist them on John Q. Public, as was every lib who joined in on the coercing. "They" also knew from Day 1 that the clot shots were bad news, but they didn't care. So who is responsible? Who will be held accountable? It feels like everything else: we knew what was true but the msm kept carrying water for the gestapo and once the truth was made public, there is a big yawn from the left and the msm. Given that Wegovy exists now, I don't see why Ozempic would be prescribed off-label for weight loss. Possibly because it's an insurance dodge of some kind, like the plan doesn't cover drugs for weight loss but it does cover drugs for diabetes and so it's prescribed off-label with a nudge and a wink. Huh. Per Wikipedia:
the US, Wegovy has a list price of $1,349.02 per month as of 2022 suggesting that because of the high costs many people "who could most benefit from weight loss may be unable to afford such expensive drugs". High costs of Ozempic prompted some insurance companies to investigate and refuse to cover patients with what the companies considered was insufficient evidence to support a diabetes diagnosis, alleging off-label prescribing for weight loss.
