Quick Tithes II

A phone call from the residence of Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin -- aka Girth Vader -- shows an intent to keep his emergency hospitalization a secret.

[N]ow we know that Austin's aides did everything they could to make sure news of their boss's condition and location went unnoticed. The Daily Beast obtained a recording of the 911 call through a FOIA request to the State of Virginia, which revealed that Austin's staff asked that the ambulance show up without lights and sirens because "we're trying to remain a little subtle."

"Can I ask--can the ambulance not show up with lights and sirens? Uhm, we're trying to remain a little subtle," the aide said...

The dispatcher responded that the ambulance could do that, noting that "usually when they turn into a residential neighborhood, they'll turn them off." She added that the ambulance is required by law to run the sirens and lights on main streets, such as Georgetown Pike and Leesburg Pike.

Cultural enrichment.

More cultural enrichment.

Biden seems to be paving the way towards great-cultural-revolution-transformed-the-cia-and-fbi/">and he's provided an excerpt of it to AmGreatness.

An early Soviet active measures campaign took on a life of its own and survived the collapse of the USSR. It provided the philosophical and strategic bases for a cultural Marxist revolution so profound that it penetrated the cores of the CIA and FBI.

That is one of the startling findings of scholar J. Michael Waller in his new book, Big Intel: How the CIA and FBI Went from Cold War Heroes to Deep State Villains.

Published today [January 16] by Regnery, Big Intel shows how the intelligence community failed to defend the United States against a decades-old Soviet covert operation to destroy democratic Western societies from within.

American Greatness is reprinting an exclusive excerpt of Big Intel to show how the Obama administration used the George W. Bush-era centralization of the intelligence community to impose critical theory and cultural Marxism on the CIA, FBI, and other intelligence services. The excerpt is slightly edited for context and clarity.

The excerpt is about Obama's "fundamental transformation" of the US security apparatus into a tool for repression by the left.

The cultural revolution in the intelligence community, as with much of the rest of the government bureaucracy, began on August 18, 2011. On that day Obama issued Executive Order 13583. The title said it all: "Establishing a Coordinated Government-Wide Initiative to Promote Diversity and Inclusion in the Federal Workforce." The shepherdess of the executive order was presidential confidant Valerie Jarrett.

Diversity order 13583 was a social revolutionary ukase. It made no reference to enhancing intelligence collection, analysis, operations, or capabilities. It gave no explanation as to how such a diverse force might strengthen the intelligence community with language skills or knowledge of domestic or foreign cultures or the benefits of varied personal perspectives, experiences and backgrounds.

On its face, 13583 looked like a virtue-signaling sop to the various identity groups that funded or mobilized voters for Obama's presidency. But there was nothing superficial about it. It was an ideological coup. The executive order was a majoritarian decree to transform the culture of the entire federal bureaucracy through implementation of critical theory. Once the bureaucratic culture changed--as Italian Communist Party theoretician Antonio Gramsci and the Frankfurt School's Herbert Marcuse had taught--the proper opinions and policies would follow. Obama knew that personnel is policy.

More at the link. The book itself is available here. I'm looking forward to reading it. I have heard -- and just known, intuitively-- that Obama turned the intelligence agencies from guardians against foreign interference into Soviet-like enforcers of a foreign ideology in the US. But I didn't know exactly how he'd done this.

I've mentioned before that Rich Higgins used to talk about highly classified briefings about terrorism and jihadism in which members of the Muslim Brotherhood were physically present, at Obama's insistence, to review and often veto what the government was allowed to tell soldiers and intelligence agents about jihadism and Koranic exhortations to kill the infidel. I've also mentioned that he was bewildered when Obama's agents would caution "all of this is classfied." Rich wondered, "The fucking Muslim Brotherhood is right there at the end of the table writing all of this down. Who the HELL do you think you're keeping this secret from?"

The book seems to be about how this "cultural revolution" or "coup" was achieved. Or I hope it is.

The FAA is finally going to start hiring severely intellectually stunted and psychologically disturbed people to... keep track of air traffic and make sure planes don't smash into each other.

The Federal Aviation Administration is attempting to hire people with "severe intellectual" disabilities, psychiatric problems and other conditions under a "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" initiative.

"Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring," the FAA's website reads.

"They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism."

The FAA employs about 45,000 people and is overseen by Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

The DEI Disasters are coming. I know it's a pipedream, but I want to prosecute the people who are the ultimate authors of the coming mass casualties for manslaughter.

Video indicates that Nancy Pelosi's chief of security lied about the Oath Keepers' behavior on January 6th.

Capitol Police Officer and screaming lunatic Henry Dunn explained his unprofessional and threatening behavior -- threatening to kill as many protesters as he could -- by claiming, get this, that he had been the victim of "racist" abuse first. (Which, of course, justifies threatening to mow people down with your rifle.)

The Oath Keepers stood between the emotionally-volatile Dunn and the "more excitable" protesters, trying to cool the situation down.

Nancy Pelosi's chief of security David Lazarus then gave testimony in support of Dunn, backing his story, and claiming the Oath Keepers had not attempted to de-escalate the situation, but had "hassled" him.

This resulted in long sentences for the Oath Keepers.

The trouble is: Video shows that Lazarus was in a different part of the Capitol during the critical period.

He perjured himself. He was not in any position to give any word about the Oath Keepers encounter, but lied and said he was present in order to convict the Oath Keepers (by defeating their claim that they acted to de-escalate).

Nikki Haley is giving Nikki Haley style answers again. She's not the Indian Tracy Flick, she's the Indian Kamala Harris. (Who is also the Indian Kamala Harris.)

First she gives an answer that will please her Republican supporters: No, America is not a racist country, never was.

But then she gives the answer that will please her much more numerous Democrat supporters: I sure encountered a lot of racism growing up, but it's better now.

Which is it?

Dan Bongino is confused:

"Her answer was absolutely incoherent...and then she goes on to say how when she was a kid she was a victim of racism...oh my God, this lady can't answer a question," Bongino said. "She's asked a simple question...the answer is 'no the United States isn't racist but we've got a history here and we should acknowledge it -- it's not a hard answer."

Even though she came in third place in Iowa, she announced the primary is "now a two-person race."

I guess she's conceding it's now between Trump and DeSanctimoious?

260 I don't understand how Ace can be so fucking stupid as to not understand how the GOP bears more responsibility for Trump not achieving more than he did.

Ryan, Pence, and Priebus all decided it was more important to fuck trump in the ass than to actually accomplish all of the conservative things they had campaigned on for the past 30 years.

Why did Trump "lose" 2018? Because the GOP tanked the election of any Trump endorsed candidate.

Why did Trump "lose" 2020? Because the GOP allowed and probably assisted the fraud.

The GOP is the problem, yet Ace is falling right back into the trap that they are the good guys who will be just great if only we vote the right way.

60 If you're 100% convinced Trump will lose again, can you really blame someone for not wanting to try Trump again? People like us look at Trump supporters as the real saboteurs of Conservatism because it's just handing Democrats another election.

I mean, it's not really an unknown at this point, Biden beat Trump last time and as Ace pointed out, Trump has basically been losing every election since 2016. In addition, Trumpy candidates go down hard, even in red states. Democrats are picking our nominees and we fall for it every time.

The only path I could see for Trump is a true financial panic unfolding in the next 10 months, and I just dont see it. Things are just not bad enough and Trump will not be able to convince people he can "fix it" anyway.

So I'll be here after election day with a giant "I told you so" and so will Ace. But it's not what I wanted.

126 That San Diego illegal immigrant trespassing story is not factual. Under California law, a property owner or lawful occupant has the right to use reasonable force to eject someone who is unlawfully entering or occupying their property. This includes both verbal commands and physical force, as long as the force used is not excessive or unreasonable under the circumstances.

The CA sheriff's department is refusing to enforce the law. Trespassing is an automatic misdemeanor in California. The property owner has the right to use "reasonable force" to remove trespassers.

My point is, everyone is acting like we need to vote harder to overcome fraud.

Haly wants to overcome the fraud machine by being the best Democrat possible, Ramaswami was planning to be so unimportant that he would avoid being cheated out of the election, Trump seems to be trying to over-awe the fraud by being too popular. No -- he just grumbles endlessly and vaguely that he was robbed.

He never announces a plan like, "We need to stop ballot harvesting, we have to make every state verify signatures, etc."

You guys do not seem to think there's any value in actually attempting to SPECIFICALLY change laws. You just think it's enough to go on twitter and babble about being "robbed," vaguely.

NO ONE CAN ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING WITH SUCH A VAGUE COMPLAINT. THERE IS NOTHING ACTIONABLE IN THAT VAGUE GRUMBLING. NO ONE CAN LOOK AT TRUMP'S DOG'S BREAKFAST COMPLAINING AND DISCOVER ANY ACTUAL SPECIFIC PLAN OF WHAT TO CHANGE OR FIX.

Yes, Trump did manage very well on the economy and FP. Which should really worry Trump supporters, because if he still could not crack 43% approval with such a successful first term (or first three years of a first term), then that means that the antipathy the general public feels towards him is so great as to overcome real economic facts. In other words, Feelings turned out to be more important than Facts.

Yes, Trump had some big successes, and had the right instincts (building the wall) even when he failed.

So why has he remained so very unpopular? Yes yes, the media lies. But the media lies about all Republicans. How did a guy who had a great economy remain between 39 and 43% approval?

His personality is much more toxic than people will admit. Some LIKE his toxic personality, and just reject all the evidence that the majority does not like it.

Possibly. Probably, if they can do it. And look, I like Trump's tactical and strategic ability even less than you do, if that's possible.

But he's the only guy, at this point, that can be a wrench in the machine. If he actually wins, and isn't jailed, it's going to be some sort of devolution. Things will get worse.

But that could still be better than the current glide path we're on. Granted, it'll be worse in the short term, and maybe in the long term. But this path we're on is simply not acceptable.

I hate, really, that I'm telling you that Trump is the best option. Because he's a Yankee, rich, loud mouthed NYC resident. But it is what it is. Blah.

There is a terrible tendency to define oneself by what one is not. there is a term for it but I forget what it is.
It is set out in the observation: "Half the Liberals hate free markets, and half the Conservatives hate Liberals"

I will point out that my beloved father once confessed that he voted for LBJ because he thought Goldwater would get us into a war. That is the heart and soul for voting against.

well, only if Trump gets convicted and it causes a block of voters to split. or he gets sick or something. He is 78 years old and not what you'd call a lifetime health nut.

But yeah he probably gets the nomination, then biden drops out at the convention, and we see how much the polls JackStraw is so pleased by matter then.

You know there were actual candidates running in those races. Trump can give endorsements but he can't win everyone's races for them.

As I said above Democrats got crushed in both of Obama's midterms. Historic level loses. Obama won the presidency twice.

And yes, Trump did win in 2020. I don't know why you are pretending that race wasn't stolen.

Heh. Typical DeSantis drone.

It's a real mystery why you bozos have done nothing but her your candidate. By the way, he lost last night. Huge. No cheating. And he's going to lose in NH and the SC and if he doesn't drop out his own home state of Florida. Don't blame me, blame yourself.

334 Posted by: JackStraw at January 16, 2024 07:51 PM (ZLI7S)

Trump lost huge in 2020 - no cheating, as Trump's own campaign staff admitted privately.

He's either going to lose in the general in 2024 as well, or he'll have to drop out before that because he'll have been convicted on one of the 90 felony indictments he's under.

Then he's going to go to prison, and you'll be stuck wailing about the "establishment" and "deep state" and "uniparty", when it was his (and your) stupidity that put him there.

Posted by: Terry at January 16, 2024 07:53 PM (a3HKJ)

335 Jack, here's how I can scoff at the "stolen election:" Mollie Hemingway, who is a trump super-fan (though she denies this), denies a stolen election in her book about the election. Oh, she notes all the ways the left "rigged" it -- suppressing the laptop story, suppressing conservative media, etc. -- but she says no, it wasn't "stolen" in the sense of major actual vote fraud. And this isn't just what she says in the book. I asked her personally (we know each other) if, beyond what she talks about in the book, was there also vote fraud that she can't confirm, and she said, flatly, "no."

So take it up with her.

Posted by: cheshirecat at January 16, 2024 07:56 PM (TwA+r)

338 next I will point to a case where there sure was the smoke of fraud, but Trump did nothing about it. When the Democrat Pennsylvania governor unconstitutionally changed voting rules by his own fiat and sent out millions of ballots without anyone requesting them, trump could have sued at that moment and enjoined this.

Instead, he did nothing.

Then, after disaster struck, he started whining about all of these changes... but after the votes had been cast. No judge likes reversing an election based just on an argument and speculation. This kind of thing just never, ever works.

Trump could have done something BEFORe the actual election, but decided not to.

Whose fault is that?

Who's the scapegoat we're pinning that on, besides Trump?

339 Ok, now I know you're a fucking idiot.

Posted by: JackStraw at January 16, 2024 07:56 PM (ZLI7S)

He's not?

You guys have claimed that the establishment/deep-state/uniparty robbed Trump of his entire presidency, bitched him out of re-election, and also manufactured nearly a hundred felony indictments against him.

So Trump's enjoyed no success against the establishment/deep-state/uniparty up until now - but now at this point, when he's older and weaker than he's ever been, and they're stronger, he's gonna pull a rabbit out of hat and beat it all?

If they were powerful enough to do everything YOU say they did, including steal an election, they're going to be able to get a guilty verdict in a D.C. trial.

Then when they do, you're going to act like it was both completely unavoidable and also entirely inexplicable.

Posted by: Terry at January 16, 2024 07:59 PM (nnjjv)

340 Trump does not read, he does not do homework, he does not stay focused, he does not ride the bureaucracy. He tweets and yells.

We entrusted him with a precious thing -- all of our shared fates --and he fucked around on twitter.

Now, if a doctor was performing an operation on my son and my son died and I found out later that the doctor hadn't bothered reviewing the procedures for the operation beforehand but instead went out and played golf and then fucked around on twitter... i would be very, very angry.

I'm tired of being told that all of trump's slapdash, carefree, fuck-around fuck-ups are really Paul Ryan's fault or Reince Priebus' fault or whatever.

When is it ever actually the fualt of the guy makign the decisions, who was supposedly president? Why is the fault always on his staffers and even his OPPONENTS? (Which is a weird place to lay blame, because opponents are SUPPOSED to oppose you; you are supposed to overcome their opposition, not just whine that they opposed you too hard.)

Robert Barnes, who does do his homework, believes that Trump's polls are still going up. He also has been predicting that the cases against Trump will be thrown out and so far he's been right every time.

Until this trend reverses Trump will probably win. Left wing pundits have been predicting he'll beat the steal.

Obviously he's doing something right.

343 for those saying the election was stolen -- why didn't Mollie Hemingway conclude that? She spent a year researching a book and talking to all the principles.

Why is it that this theory exists on the internet and in trump's mumblings but when people actually examine it closely, it vanishes?

Oh and the random stoppage of counting in the swing states. Republicans denied access the same as democrats, rescanning of Biden ballots over and over and countless other pieces of evidence.

Other than that. There’s nothing proving that the election was stolen.

It’s not like the intelligence communities and their apparatchiks had a vested interest in ousting him.

look she talked to Trump's people so she had all of his "evidence" and suspicions. She looked into them, found nothing. She's a Trump Girl politically and I guarantee you if she found evidence you wouldn't be hearing about her book -- "Rigged," I think -- from me. It would have been the hugest conservative book in 20 years.

I know I'm being accused of a secret conspiracy with the Jeb Establishment. Did someone also recruit Mollie?

At some point, we need evidence for our claims. We can't just always say "my gut says so." Guts are wrong an awful lot.

353 as I said, Trump could have filed lawsuits in a dozen states changing their election laws before the election. He decided not to.
