The Racial Group Most Concerned About Illegal Immigration Is Now... Hispanics

The "elites" are heedlessly pursuing a policy that no one but them and Klaus Schwab wants.

Hispanics were the most likely racial group to rank immigration as their most pressing matter, according to an Associated Press (AP)-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll published on Wednesday.
A total of 43% of Hispanic adults identified immigration as the number one priority for the government to address, surpassing 36% of white respondents, 29% of Asians and Pacific Islanders and 19% of black respondents sharing the same sentiment, according to the AP. Moreover, 35% of American adults surveyed named immigration as a main issue, consisting of 55% of Republicans and 22% of Democrats, according to the poll.
The 35% total is up from 27% in December 2022.
Fewer than 3% of likely Hispanic voters supported amnesty for illegal immigrants, according to a 2023 poll conducted by Convention of States Action and The Trafalgar Group.

The media used to call them illegal aliens. Everyone did.

Then during the Obama administration, a concerted effort began to rebrand them.

At one point they tried undocumented immigrants but it didn't stick.

Then a new euphemism was hatched: Migrants.

He is instead trying to accelerate illegal immigration. He is trying to process illegal immigrants faster. We've had over that... Joe Biden's entire tenure 9.6 million illegal immigrants flood into this country. And Mayorkas is ignoring the laws on the books and is subjecting the American people to enormous risk.
We've seen crime, we see children being brutalized, we see women being sexually assaulted. We see over 100,000 drug overdoses last year, the highest in history. Seventy percent of that is Chinese fentanyl flooding across the southern border.

That is true. I think the deal is that when times are good, anyone not directly impacted by illegal immigration (or its sister - H1B) ignores it. When times are bad... more people notice. When times are really bad AND the flood is at historic levels... you've seriously got to try to not notice.

The folks closer to the bottom of the economy noticed long long. It's people higher up who're starting to pay attention now. And, of course, lots of liberals in the northeast are having their noses rubbed in it.

Actually, yes. By US government definition, a Hispanic surname is enough to qualify as Hispanic. Or, actually, if you identify.

My daughter bears my Anglo surname, her mother is European and Andean Indian, and she gets Hispanic preferences and scholarships. Which is kind of ironic as she has 4 working parents (2 parents, two steps) and lives in one of the top median income counties in the country.

It's a calm, deliberate, relaxing process. It's not something done for stress, but entirely because you want to sit and enjoy quietly and calmly smoking a pipe for 20 minutes or so. No inhaling so there's very little cancer risk, and you're not smoking 20-30 times a day so what mouth cancer risk *does* exist is very minimal.

If McCain had won that election, he would have compromised on all of the social stuff, and gotten us further into the wars we didn't need to be in. On top of that, he would have actively squashed the TEA Party remnants into the dirt, solidifying GOPe domination for at least a generation.

While it's technically still smoking, it's a different style of smoking. You don't rush outside to catch a smoke in the rain. You don't grab a quick smoke in between clients.

It's a calm, deliberate, relaxing process. It's not something done for stress, but entirely because you want to sit and enjoy quietly and calmly smoking a pipe for 20 minutes or so. No inhaling so there's very little cancer risk, and you're not smoking 20-30 times a day so what mouth cancer risk *does* exist is very minimal.
