If you're thinking, "Wasn't peanut butter always plant based, specifically, peanut based?," congratulations, you're smarter than an AWFL.
++++ Except minerals, everything we eat is plant-based. Meat is most definitely plant-based. My meat eats something. Even if my meat ate other animals, *its* meat eats something. Eventually, it all comes down to vegetables. A cow is just a way to process protein-poor, unpalatable, low-quality vegetation into a tasty, high-protein food for humans. Plus other bonuses, like leather. My leather belt and shoes are also plant-based. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at January 10, 2024 01:28 PM (Zp1WF) 17

Analyze that: Plants consume CO2, H2O, nitrates, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, etc. All these can be considered Inorganic, thus mineral or mineral-like (the gases and liquids). Plant-based peanut butter is perfect. Soft, with that mysterious, renal flavour that is medicinal and industrial, but also like earth and grass and licked copper. Its natural oils and distant, muted grit are a negligee, not a shroud for the tongue. It sticks to the roof of the mouth with finesse, with an elan that defies its humble packaging.

All well and good, but if it doesn't have slow motion chicks doing actiony action, I'm not interested.
I have to give Snyder credit - the combat scenes in Sucker Punch were pretty damn good. The overall plot though is horrible. Though along the lines of Eyes Wide Shut someone should ask the known Epstein girls if any of their number told them she had vivid dreams of being...somewhere else...with Keith Carradine while she was being molested... My favorite is "farm-to-table" overpriced restaurants.
No sh*t, fool. ALL food is farm to table. Where did you think food comes from? Eh, I get your point, but farm to table means something other than just "it was grown on a farm and now it's on the table." Produce growers especially do a lot of fuckery to get "fresh" produce to market a long way away from their fields. They often pick it well before it's ripe and then they have a multitude of tricks to make it look and seem ripe when it gets to you. If you actually let the produce grow to full ripeness and then harvest it, there is a TON more flavor and all the nice vitamins and minerals you think you're getting when you eat produce. Democrats Can't Keep Ignoring Covid in 2024. More than three-quarters of U.S. hospital beds are currently in use due to Covid hospitalizations. Uptake of the most recent booster shot, which should help to protect against the new variant and lower the risk of severe cases and the odds of getting long Covid, hovers around 19 percent.
Meanwhile, the most recent White House response to a question about whether they had any guidance for hospitals...came courtesy of press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre: “Hospitals, communities, states, they have to make their own decisions. That’s not something we get involved in,” she replied, appearing exasperated. “We are in possibly the second-biggest surge of the pandemic if you look at wastewater levels,” said Dr. Monica Verduzco-Gutierrez, who runs a long-Covid clinic at the University of Texas, San Antonio, and has had ongoing Covid symptoms since August 2022. “There is no urgency to this. No news. No discussion in Congress. There is no education.” Unfortunately, any mandatory measures would be political suicide - and result in death threats. Posted by: Aetius451AD at January 10, 2024 01:53 PM (di6C2) Hail Caesar! is perhaps the most Wes Andersony of all Coen Brothers films. I love the scene where Ralph Fiennes is trying to get the cowboy actor to say some droll line in an out-of-character-for-him role, and the poor boy can't say "would that it were." Fiennes as the director is obviously getting furious with the kid, but eventually just changes the line to "it's complicated." I would live in a Wes Anderson world though, it would be measurably more dangerous to live in a Coen world. Posted by: BurtTC at January 10, 2024 02:00 PM (dGCAG) 262

Even those of us who use the term "fossil fuels" unironically don't contend that the fuel comes from fossils. The fuel itself is a fossil - the carbon and/or hydrocarbons were reduced from CO2 in the atmosphere by plants and animals, and then subsequently buried and sequestered by geological processes. You can see the plant matter in a lump of coal.
Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at January 10, 2024 02:11 PM (tkR6S) The fact that fossil fuels almost entirely come from living matter absolutely rubbishes the main climate change scare argument - that we can render the planet essentially uninhabitable. There can be no runaway greenhouse effect that turns Earth into another Venus (they used to use that as a scare tactic when I was in school). Why? Because all of this material was already in the atmosphere or biosphere during past, life-friendly epochs. We're not creating something new and adding it to a system that can't handle it, we're returning something that used to be present to a system that has the demonstrated ability to handle it. They are liars for profit ... it's as big a scam as 1/6, and the jab, and the stolen election ... and all the rest of the leftist BS. But they are getting very rich and nothing else matters (to them). Posted by: illiniwek at January 10, 2024 08:34 PM (Cus5s) 496

Better flavor than V8 in my opinion. Posted by: Maj. Healey at January 10, 2024 01:49 PM (eYF7X) I cannot drink a V8 without Tabasco. Posted by: antisocial justice beatnik at January 10, 2024 02:02 PM (DTX3h) You can buy it with Tobasco added.
