Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 12/21/23![]() The Colorado court ruling is sadly only the most recent in a long series of disastrous firsts that are slowly unwinding the republic and making a mockery of the rule of law. Remember the Russian collusion hoax and the 2016 Clinton/Fusion GPS effort to destroy a presidential candidate? Recall the 2020 Russian disinformation farcical claim concerning the genuine Hunter Biden laptop? Do not forget the precedent of impeaching a president twice and then trying an ex-president and private citizen in the Senate. Then there was another first of raiding an ex-president’s private home over disputes about the removal of presidential papers that are typically solved bureaucratically and as a civil matter. We are also witnessing ongoing lawfare waged by state and local partisan prosecutors to destroy the current leading presidential candidate. Their indictments either have no merit or would never have applied to liberal politicians or both. What will be Colorado’s precedent? Will red-state courts now respond by erasing Joe Biden from their ballots on grounds that he is “guilty” of insurrectionary activity—by deliberately destroying the southern border, undermining U.S. security, sabotaging federal immigration law, and violating his oath of office? Will some states remove Vice President Kamala Harris from their 2024 ballots on grounds that in 2020 she deliberately incited insurrectionary protestors who had been engaged in riot, arson, looting, violent assaults on police, and attacks on federal properties? So does the Left see where it is taking the country? It is destroying all the old parameters of accepted politics in using any means necessary to deny millions of citizens the right to elect their own highest official. We have never seen anything like this before in American history. But it is only the latest chapter of an ongoing travesty that will not end well. That's for sure. That's for dang sure. While speculating what some red states might do vis a vis doing unto Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants and his semen-gargling sidekick, I have my doubts this would come to pass. A) it presupposes that red state governors and legislatures have the balls to bring this kind of suit and that B) majority originalist state supreme courts would vote as Colorado did. That said, the charges against Biden would be far from spurious. His willful erasure of our borders alone can reasonably be argued as either an egregious example of criminal malfeasance or in point of fact treasonous insofar as intentionally endangering the national security of the republic and safety of the citizenry. The distance between this and Trump uttering the word "Fight!" is measured in light years. Assuming a scenario like this plays out, the other factor is having the spine, in the face of very real threats of violence, for the aforementioned theoretical judges to actually rule to remove Biden/Harris or whoever from the ballot. Of course, like everyone else allegedly on our side of the divide, there's always the issue of decorum and playing by rules. This, despite the fact that the other side has taken the Constitution and wiped its amoral, evil ass with it and has been shoving it in our face for years if not decades already. As a nation we're gone. And probably the ultimate example of Iowahawk's brilliant observation is the Left's killing and gutting this nation, its heritage and culture, and now parading around wearing its moldering skin-suit and demanding respect. That to me is the most hateful thing of all; that those who have worked for generations now to destroy what was founded in 1789 and paid in the blood of actual patriots over the intervening years many times over, have completely usurped the mantle of righteousness and are dragging us down to Hell, all while declaring that they are the ones preserving "democracy." If that doesn't make you vomit up your coffee, I don't know what will. Again, we're gone. There is no reconciliation possible because we now have zero grounds with which to come together. That used to be our history and heritage but they have deemed that to be illegitimate, evil, racist and a danger to the planet. Victor Davis Hanson is dead on when he states that this is not going to end well. As does Ben Shapiro (if I'm excerpting him, you know it's serious). Trump, let us not forget, has not been charged with insurrection. He was not even convicted in his impeachment trial over Jan. 6. Yet the Colorado State Supreme Court says it can bar him from electoral eligibility anyway. This is, to put it mildly, unbelievably dangerous. . . . . . Meanwhile, the Colorado Supreme Court has now set up expectations for Democrats across the country that Trump can be legally barred from the presidency -- and when the Supreme Court overturns that Colorado Supreme Court ruling, they will claim that the Supreme Court itself is rigged. All of which means that 2024 is going to be the most insane and ugly presidential election in American history. And that's saying a lot, since 1968 and 2020 are both years that existed. Under what circumstances, precisely, would Democrats accept the result of a Trump election? Under what circumstances, precisely, would Republicans accept the result of a Biden election? The weaponization of the legal system creates an all-consuming fire, burning everything in its path. There is simply no 2024 result likely to result in anything but complete – and perhaps violent – chaos at this point."Bingo. And note well Shapiro's comment about the Supreme Court. That's where the action is going to be, and "action" is certainly a word pregnant with meaning. As an aside, if SCOTUS tosses this crap, what effect will it have on Jack Smith's spurious charges? Imagine if all of those cases get tossed based on a potential or likely rejection of the CO court's ruling. Legal eagles please weigh in. Whether intentional or merely accidental, and I believe it intentional, the Left have taken a hammer to every institution in and out of government as a means to declare them illegitimate, sow chaos and then move in to take control. When things don't go their way, they declare elections, the courts, laws they disagree with that pass and those they push that don't to be illegitimate outcomes and "threats to democracy," etc. etc. If the Democrats do manufacture 85, 90 or even 100 million ballots to drag the drooling, criminal pervert across the line like they did in 2020, our side will scream bloody murder. That's probably about all we'll do but when, not if the economy collapses, then future actions are quite unpredictabe. If by some miracle Trump (still the likely candidate) manages to legitimately beat the cheat, the Leftists will scream even louder by orders of magnitude – and burn, loot and murder to a degree that made the George Floyd Summer of Love and BLM Jihad look like a church picnic. And they won't limit themselves to the already burned out and abandoned blue shit-holes. They're heading for the burbs and red state America. I think you can figure out what would happen after that. The bottom line, as I said, is we are now completely lined up and facing off against each other. Will someone on the other side give the order "Don't fire until you see the whites–"? Remains to be seen. But no doubt we are coming dangerously close to that for the first time in 163 years. God help us. And God help them if they pull the trigger.

They have the perfect foil in Trump though. He propensity to only escalate (thereby, “lean into” every accusation they lay on him) is the utopian person.
This ruling is a very cynical one and will accomplish two goals: get the left screaming about the need to stack SCOTUS and solidify primary support for Trump (who will stick his dick into more senate races with his unvetted, fellating sycophants). They WANT him on the ballot. This is just misdirection. The Achilles heel is Trump. Trump loves being the center of news, and if societal chaos and collapse is the bi-product, he doesn’t care. Trump loves it when the Nation has to choke down Trump Trump for an appetizer, entree , dessert and subsequent enema. Biden wants Trump front and center. And both will get their wish. And we get to be finsished because Trump has no honor. He could step down and kill the noise, and give them no tools. Posted by: Marleysghost at December 21, 2023 08:11 AM (z7mIR) 80

I'm not confident or optimistic about anything these days, but the biggest reason I believe the Court *should* overturn this is that it sets the precedent that a political opponent can simply be declared Guilty of some "crime" with no hearing, no due process. ++++ Unpredictable, other than "bad." An economic collapse will not happen in a vacuum because it will be essentially simultaneous with - if not actually causal of - the collapse of our empire and the international trade system on which it rests. The number of American men and assets that will be stranded abroad will be significant, and the breakage of trading systems will have fairly serious consequences on the domestic environment. But that is the path we are on. Once the money fails, the FedGov will be hard-pressed to prevent dissolution under the sheer weight of it all. Barring Trump from state primary elections is the first step. Other states are going to follow suit. The idea is to either keep his name off the official state ballot for the general or so hamstring Trump that his chances of carrying any of these state is essentially zero.
The J6 Committee that Pelosi rigged had just this sort of "remediation" for Trump (and by extension politicians that supported him as well.) I believe Liz Cheney herself used the language "make Trump ineligible" to run for office again. I can see the states argue that they're free to run their elections without federal interference... that argument cuts both ways, depending on your own perspective. I'm not confident or optimistic about anything these days, but the biggest reason I believe the Court *should* overturn this is that it sets the precedent that a political opponent can simply be declared Guilty of some "crime" with no hearing, no due process. This isn't even a Bill of Attainder, this is pure Star Chamber stuff. It's what Venezuela has been doing ever since the communists took over.

ZA isn't desperate enough yet. They still have something approaching armed forces and they're still eating. Electrical and water infrastructure are collapsing at an alarming rate, but the lights are still on and the water still flows at least sometimes. Money still buys bread, and large chunks of the country are not in effective rebellion. The mines still operate at least somewhat and the ruling Party (the ANC) is still able to maintain the balance of graft for the most part, though time is running out. There as also an essentially - for now - healthy part of the country on the west coast. This are bad. They need to - and will - get a lot worse before new strongmen rise and operate openly. Paxton and Trump have become avatars of their movement, much like men like Biden and Newsome have become avatars for the left. What these men say, or do, no longer has any relationship to the support they receive from their respective sides. All that matters is what they represent, not what they actually are. The dog that stopped barking is any Biden criticism of Trump on policy issues. I'd call that a total surrender on policy. Instead, the Biden campaign strategy against Trump has hardened into a three-legged stool of "end of democracy" hoaxes plus weaponizing the government: End-of-Democracy Hoax Packet 1. He invokes Hitler (like the Fine People Hoax 2) 2. He's colluding with Putin (Russian Collusion Hoax 2) 3. He's an insurrectionist (Jan6 Hoax) Those three tentpole hoaxes justify Biden's weaponization of government because if you thought any of that was true, you would favor taking out Trump any way that works. If you were wondering which hoaxes will dominate 2024, now you know. Although there might be more. The delivery system for Biden's persuasion will be the extended universe of fake fact-checkers, fake news (CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, etc.), and fake watchdog groups that Democrats assembled after losing in 2016. Now the 2024 presidential race is a contest between Republican policies the public wants, according to polling, versus hoaxes and massive corruption of the justice assets of the country. Colorado is just the start. How many more states are already joining in? I read an article yesterday that claimed nearly half of the states in the Union have seen lawsuits filed to keep Trump off the ballot.
The reality is, like ending the filibuster for SCOTUS nominees, it won't end up working out like the left plans. And tragically, it will likely end in blood and tears. At this point, it appears that the left is deliberately pushing to start a conflict. They want someone to act out so they can take the next step (martial law?). It is a testament to the patience and sanity of the right that even with all of the craziness, we haven't seen anyone actually use violence. Meanwhile, the left can burn and loot whole city blocks and it's peaceful protest. If the right tried it, we would all be in jail for years, if not executed. I wish that was sarcasm. "As an aside, if SCOTUS tosses this crap, what effect will it have on Jack Smith's spurious charges?"
Probably none. A USSC reversal will note that section 5 of the 14th Amendment grants Congress the power to enforce it, and they have in 18 USC. Colorado cannot claim supremacy over Congress. If anything, this would slightly bolster the Smith effort because that is the appropriate avenue to take such matters (looking solely at process here, not merit). Look for liberal justice concurrences to point this out. Look for the Thomas wing to note that the language of section 3 of the 14th conspicuously omits President or Vice-President from the list of offices. Because the list is otherwise very specific, we must assume the exclusion is by intent and regardless of any legal actions user 18 USC, a state court STILL could not exclude a Presidential candidate from a ballot under the 14th Amendment. Why Do Conservatives Fear "Frankenflesh?" Lab grown meat is a terrible idea for various reasons. 1) The Terror of Farting Cows! - in the not so distant past, the world's grasslands were covered with several million herbivores of the "cow variety". Why the vast numbers of America's bisons alone should've turned Earth into a Flaming Hell of Farting Doom. And yet...it did not. Humans need vitamin B-12 the source of B-12 for most is meat. Would you trust the makers of the covid vaccine to produce meat for "deplorables" that contained all necessary vitamins and nutrients ex necessary amino acids? 2b) About a decade ago, Chinese manufacturers of toothpaste used antifreeze as a "sweetener" in toothpaste. Antifreeze will kill your kidneys dead. Do you trust manufacturers not to add deadly compounds to your "meat"? 2c) The fragility of monoclonal cell lines - bacteria and viruses are everywhere. Smith would indict Trump for a traffic ticket if he could. He's been bending the law to indict Trump over and over and he has a completely compliant judiciary and jury pool in DC and even he hasn't charged Trump with insurrection or sedition or anything even remotely like it because there is no evidence. Congress failed to convict Trump for Jan 6th. The Colorado SC charged Trump with insurrection based on nothing at all. All of which means that 2024 is going to be the most insane and ugly presidential election in American history. And that's saying a lot, since 1968 and 2020 are both years that existed.

"As an aside, if SCOTUS tosses this crap, what effect will it have on Jack Smith's spurious charges?"
Very little. However there is a case before the Supreme Court that will have a dramatic affect. That is the J6 defendant's appeal that the law being used to prosecute him is being used incorrectly, and does not apply. The law is the felony charge of interfering with a government proceeding. That is half of Smith's case against Trump, and the only felony charge used against the J6 defendants. Most legal observers think the SCOTUS will find for the J6 defendant, which will dismiss all the felony charges against the J6 prisoners, and gut the case against Trump. "Biden Border Crisis: More Migrants Arrive as December is on Pace to Break More Encounter Records"
I believe this is, of course, an op. Last week it was rumored in DC that Biden's compromise offer on immigration is that if 5,000 asylum claimants are admitted during a day, no more asylum-seekers will be admitted that day. The ten thousand asylum seekers crossing the border daily the past week or more (arranged by the cartels and Mex Government) is intended to scare Republicans into buying Joe's compromise. IMHO. I remember talking to a Battle of the Bulge veteran (75th Division) who related to me a scene he witnessed. The 75th was mostly green troops and while his unit was being loaded aboard trucks for a road march, a BAR rifleman was being hoisted into a truck filled with people from his (the BAR guy) squad. Suddenly the BAR started barking, spraying the passengers with the entire mag with the rifle on full auto. People wonder why some veterans don't like to talk about their experiences. I don't.

I think sometimes people just go with the flow. The Left, in an insane lust for power, or because of profound fear if we understand more fully what the elite have been up to, has gotten more and more ambitious. It's kind of like they just have to find the next crazy thing to do. Just like they need to keep creating victim groups, eventually they begin eating themselves - and we are seeing DEI slowly be consumed because it is unsustainable.
I believe the same thing will happen to the left's power grab. Antifa/BLM isn't moving out of the urban blue hellholes in mass because red burbs and country will take matters into their own hands, and the local police and sheriff depts aren't going to stand down. And that includes stopping the legal maneuverings to keep them out of trouble. The rich bitch kids will do time. The end is coming. Just waiting to see how messy it will be.
