I was astonished by how happy they were to see me. I realized that they had not had any visitors or company (aside from each other) through the holidays. They pressed a glass of wine in my hand, and were positively happily chatty for an hour. I had only intended to stay for a few minutes, but spent over an hour visiting and talking of old times and friends. There is a great deal to be said for the demonstration of a little genuine interest in people.

I love a story with a happy ending! With a 50yd zero, they should be able to easily hit kneecaps out to 100 or 150 yards, with the right holdover. A subsonic .22 won't have a lot of "oomph" at 150 yards, but I bet a hit in the knee will mess up your day.

Even the minimal noise of a semi-auto action cycling, or an ejected empty tinkling down onto concrete, could give the game away.
I suppose, alternately though, that they could have the rifle "blimped", which is an old wildlife photographer's trick, to dampen the noise made by an SLR's shutter, when in the photographer's "blind". That would work, albeit a bit clumsily.

Williamson, like Joe Rogan, comes to an interview trying to get the subject to express his thoughts on whatever the issues are. You learn whether you agree with the interviewee or not.
But then with Newman's sort of attack interview you learn little from, and even less if the attack works - because the whole point of this sort of interview is not to learn about the interviewee or his ideas but simply to hate a caricature of him.
And it is amazing how most "journalism" now is of the Newman sort.

Assuming these "protestors" are muzzies, you would think they'd be against desecrating a Nativity since Jesus is their biggest prophet after Ole Pedo Mo. Not that I've ever imagined these people know much about their own religion.
But I can't rule out the possibility that they're mostly stupid white kids who know sweet fuck all about anything and are just looking for any cheap excuse to cause problems.
Of course the "protestors" could be a mix of both.

Agreed. The Silvertips are good fodder. But, a surprise I came across, quite by accident. The "Monarch" brand ammo, sold at Academy Sports. .30-'06, 150 gr. jacketed lead tip.
From an Interarms MkX, with no fancy tuning at all, it was shooting cloverleaf groups with that ammo. Might've just been a fluke, but that same brand and bullets shoots damn near as well in the .308 Winchester Model 88, too.
And, it's a hunting bullet. It'll bust on through and clean out the boiler room, good as ya please!
