Someone's Got a Bad Case of the Mondays Cafe

sedonaarizona.jpg
Sedona, Arizona
Looks beautiful, but everytime I hear about Sedona
it's something flakey and dumb, usually involving
crystals or chakras

Nose meld.

The skill shown here in doing something I didn't realize was a skill is very high. I guess. I've never tried it. Maybe it's easy as shit.

Happy dog strut.

This stray dog is given a dog bone treat and he is soooo happy!

That's some real amateur pouncing there, bucko.

Reenactment of A Bridge Too Far but with sheep. It's an all-star sheep cast but I hear it's a bit of snoozer.

There's so much hate in the world, sometimes it's good to just grab a friend by the hips and bring him in for surprise anal. Wait, what?

This little guy is too cute to ever be bacon! If he puts on weight, though...

I wish I was this excited by something. And that I had four legs.

And ate poop.

Wait, what?

11 Excellent!
Sedona is a cool place, very picturesque. And yes, it's big with the crystal crowd. Those usually like to burn sage as incense. I enjoyed my visit and considered it to uplifting. Some say there is some kind of vortex there. Possible I suppose.
Whatever, it's the opposite of when I visit DC, which makes my skin crawl...

🚨#BREAKING: Iceland Volcano has just Erupted Near the town of Grindavík After Months of powerful Earthquake Swarms
📌#Grindavík | #Iceland
After months of powerful earthquakes shaking the country's southwestern Reykjanes peninsula, a volcano has just started to erupt, unleashing large amounts of lava flows near the village of Grindavik. The village, housing around 4,000 people, has been evacuated. Officials are closely monitoring the Blue Lagoon, along with its geothermal plant near Grindavik, which serves as the primary provider of electricity and water to 30,000 residents.

89 "Snow donut" is how we always start a snowman. Once it gets to the right size, it gets turned on it's side and rolled the other way to it's final Frosty place. We do that for the two lower sections of the snow body.

But the snow has to be 'just right'. Not too wet, not dry, not too deep.

Amazon's Rings of Power demonstrates that he's probably right. It's a series that would not have been possible without the success of Peter Jackson's movies. The kids and puppy on the playground equipment brought back a lot of memories. Our grandkids were of the approximate age when the Great Coof Fraud was perpetrated on this country.

Whenever we'd bring the gKids to a local playground, ALL the kids there would want to get together and play, no matter how fussy their parents were being.

There are many in this land to whom no forgiveness will be extended by me, for they themselves were unable to practice it when it counted.

131 I've been to Sedona and it's truly one of the most photogenic spots in America. However, photos like the one above don't do it justice. The sky and landscape has been tweaked and massaged by Photoshop tools pushing vibrancy, saturation, clarity, luminance -- you name it, it's been piled layer after layer on top of the raw pixels.

Photoshop is fine fool, both practically and aesthetically. But this amount of pixel cranking doesn't do the vista justice -- there's little sense of the viewer experiencing the reality of it. It's over-produced -- looking like one of those glossy, colorful "laser prints" from the 90s. (Or was it the 80s?) It turns a majestic scene into looking like a Fisher-Price toy.

As with all things in life, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

It's not that those lives don't have value. But it is that we, as a fading super-power, better get damn used to the idea of not having omnipotence. We'll either learn to mind our own business, or go ahead an perish.

Now that I've started to develop cataracts (no longer 29 or twice 29), driving at night is nothing but auroras with headlights, street lights, and the like.

Ugh. Still extremely near-sighted (but of course that actually improves with aging) -- and looking forward to maybe getting a cataract surgery lens replacement and 20/20 vision sans glasses.

Downs syndrome is usually caused by having three chromosome 21s. When making sperm or eggs, a normal cell is split in half to give a random shuffle of the genetic material. Usually that works and each egg or sperm has one of each. In this case, though, one of the parents had a split where both went into one egg or sperm, and when combined with a normal one gives three. This probably happens with all the chromosomes but if the change is lethal you wouldn't see it.

They were wives not slaves. Iceland after sea roving days had a farming economy where each settler more or less had his own farm, or craft shop which leads to more of a stake in society.

Cash crop plantation slavery produces a population with no stake in society as it is. The owners often retired back to the home country with the money, taking capital with them. The revolt that took out most of the owners broke down much of the rest of the economy, and the attempts to take the colony back didn't help either. Not the biggest expert on the rest of Haitian history but a chain of dictators, tyrants and thug rulers haven't changed things for the better.

Proof is not enough. The top people are impervious to proof. We have seen this for years. Two of many examples is Hunter and Joe. We have proof. So?

Op-plans are OPSEC.

Its a very weird time where history just sort of rhymes. Anyone who pays attention knows the Narrative is completely phony. There is no KGB or Gestapo who will come in the middle of the night and flat out kill you. There aren't even enough operatives to seriously harass more than a few people. Yet the Establishment controls all public media and not all the normies have adjusted to the new reality that The Authorities are no longer trustworthy and most likely are lying on everything. What happens when the majority gets it I don't know. It's a tricky path trying to subjugate an armed country with a large population without an authority trusted large force. Do they have a plan, or not? I don't know.

I don't have children, but one night I dreamed I was holding my infant son, and there was a groundswell of love that enveloped me from the soles of my feet to the top of my head.
I was to the point of bursting with love for that child.

When I woke up, I thought: omg if that's the kind of love a parent feels for a child, the loss of that baby has to be devastating. Shattering.

I'm one who still thinks, objectively, that DeSantis would be better at the actual job. But he's not going to be the nominee, and that's that. Trump is no longer just a man, politically; he has become the Avatar for all of the anger all of us have at the Deep State, and what it has done. That anger is going to drive this election, not any ideas of what will actually happen next. I don't say that as criticism; only as what I see coming, and to lament it would be like lamenting the tide coming in. It has to happen, no matter the consequences.

Or if you prefer, a case of 'the woke being more correct than the mainstream.'

Think of all the modern day slavery the Left is fine with - Epstein's underage sex slaves, China's Uygur slaves making Apple and Nike products, the open Southern border facilitating human trafficking, etc.. French is just saying it out loud: they are fine with business leaders, foreign tyrants and US pols (think Bob Menendez caught w/underage hookers) exploiting modern day slaves -- what they cannot tolerate is someone who threatens their cushy position/life.

And then there is the Iowa Centra Committee refusing to set a date to declare party affiliation in advance of the Iowa caucus. I think they hope to deluge Haley with democrat votes in the 99 private caucus parties...show it to be close or even give her the win so they have the basis to get creative in the following primaries.... The nomination on the republican size may show Trump up by over 40% points, but they've been pretty brazen about getting what they want, and doing what they need to do.
