There was an unconfirmed report from a Secret Service source months ago that they had determined who snuck Hunter Biden's cocaine into the White House. The leaker said it wasn't Hunter Biden, but "someone in the Biden Family orbit."

That tidbit led some to speculate that it was Ashley Biden, who herself had drug addiction problems. (She was in recovery when she left her diary behind.)

Well, turns out, she's like her older scumbag brother daring to violate their globally-enforced speech codes.

The European Union has formally announced it suspects X, previously known as Twitter, of breaching its rules in areas including countering illegal content and disinformation.
Digital commissioner Thierry Breton set out the alleged infringements in a post on the social media platform.
He said X, which is owned by Elon Musk, was also suspected of breaching its obligations on transparency.

A major law firm just announced it will no longer recruit graduates of Harvard Law School.

Harvard's quickly deleting, deleting all the evidence, assuredly in anticipation of further Congressional hearings which may result in an end to, or more likely a steep discount in, taxpayer subsidies to this "university."

They're hiding the evidence that their page on "affinity groups," which allows some but not all races to have their own segregated graduation ceremonies, excluded Jews from this dubious privilege.

The now-deleted "Affinity Celebrations for Graduates" page on Harvard's website boasts events for "Graduates with Disabilities," "Indigenous Graduates," "Latinx Graduates," "LGBTQ+ Graduates," "Arab Graduates," "Black Graduates," and more.
"Affinity celebrations are student-led, staff supported events that recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of graduates from historically marginalized communities," the web page stated. "These University-wide celebrations provide an opportunity for graduates to honor those who have helped them achieve their milestone while centering their cultural traditions and values."
According to the website, the celebrations "are made possible by the collaboration of the Office for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging; the DIB Leadership Council; the Council of Deans of Students; the Commencement Office; and students."

The now-deleted "Affinity Celebrations for Graduates" page on Harvard's website boasts events for "Graduates with Disabilities," "Indigenous Graduates," "Latinix Graduates," "LGBTQ+ Graduates," "Arab Graduates," "Black Graduates," and more. (Harvard)
The web page was last accessible on June 26, according to an archived version of the site, and was deleted at some point afterward.
It's unclear if Harvard deleted the web page amid controversy over its president's testimony to Congress on antisemitism.

No, it's very clear, they're cleaning up the record.

Harvard also seems to be hiding its webpage on forced fake pronoun use. They might be doing this because dictating what a student may say, claiming that using the wrong pronoun would be "violence" against that student, of course directly repudiates Harvard's Plagiarist Claudia Gay's claim that she can't ban calls for uprisings against Jews because of her devotion to the First Amendment.

A judge has temporary halted the dismantling of yet another monument by the lunatic radicals of the Biden Administration. This statute was intended to commemorate the reconciliation between the warring parts of the country during the Civil War.

Biden wants an end to that reconciliation.

The Civil War was, by far, the most deadly war in our history, with over half a million American deaths. At the turn of the 20th century, Congress agreed to intern Confederate soldiers at Arlington and allowed the erection of a monument that became known as the "Reconciliation" monument--a celebration of the country coming back together.
After the George Floyd riots, the federal government decided to take down monuments with a connection to the Confederacy and to eliminate anything that could be interpreted as celebrating, justifying, or acknowledging the Confederacy as anything other than evil. As part of this effort the "Reconciliation Monument" was put on the chopping bloc.

A judge has temporarily halted the desecration of this monument.

From US News:

A federal judge on Monday issued a temporary restraining order barring removal of a memorial to Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.
A group called Defend Arlington, affiliated with a group called Save Southern Heritage Florida, filed a lawsuit Sunday in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, seeking a restraining order. A hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday.

I have a feeling this stay was only granted because the harm here is obviously irreversible, and the judge thought it would be a good idea to have the hearing before the monument was destroyed. I doubt they will prevail in court.

So the bulldozing of history, tradition, law, order, and decency continues.

I'm a Northern partisan in the late unpleasantness and have certainly rolled my eyes at all the Lee Jackson and Jackson Lee roads in Virginny, but the monuments are due their respect and I am against all of that crap. And times 10 for grave sites. The ACW could have been a lot uglier and the Rebs deserve their share in that and the reconciliation afterward.

The main reason for the lack of 'big arrow' movements yet is that large concentrations of troops and equipment are instantly detected via satellite and can be hit by artillery or drones or missiles with high accuracy. Ukraine found that out in their summer offensive using plans drawn up by the West. Those roadbound columns were destroyed by AT teams, copters out of sight and any number of other means. Only when they put men out bloodily taking treelines and villages by hand did they make any progress, if you call taking a handful of villages in Russia and Ukraine progress.

Oh even earlier than that. Magazines and Papers collected articles from soldiers and officers on both sides and published them regularly, and others would write in comments and responses from the other side. A reb might bitch about a union dudes article, or sometimes two on the same side would go into it. These got collected into books "Battles and Leaders of the Civil War" was from Century magazine for a decade or more, Confederate Veteran was going from somewhere near the end of the CW into the 1930s IIRC.

The trailer for that movie made no sense at all. If a Xtianist Trump-clone is in charge, then New England would *not* be part of the "Loyalist" faction. They'd be firmly in the Rebellion category.

Even during the war, pickets guarding the lines between armies would swap for what they were short of - real coffee and sugar from Union for Southern tobacco. And both sides wanted newspapers from the other side to read.

There's a story when Grant was surveying the lines at Chattanooga TN when he was put in command there he hushed up the picket post commander from giving him a salute to avoid riling up the other pickets. So the Confederate picket post commander ordered the Reb pickets to give a salute to him instead!

Bobby Lee wasn't in command at first Bull Run, or there at all. He was in Richmond on staff with Jeff Davis. He was put in command in West Virginia somewhat later, but failed to change the position there. And of course, he did invade the north twice.

The brass worried about it but I doubt their urging changed much in the attitudes in the ranks. And the fraternization in the ACW never seemed to decrease the vigor of the fighting once it was time to fight again. When Reb Sergeant Kirkland, I think the name is, at Fredericksburg went out from the defenses to give water to the wounded between the lines and give them help like a blanket roll pillow or lie more comfortably everyone ceased fire and let him continue.

Again, lets call it what it was. Those "people", the industrialized North, compelled via force of arms, and decades of legislation later, to deny half the country their divorce. Which - by the way - was explicitly stated by both New York and Virginia in their original ratifications of the original Constitution.

I constantly find it fascinating - absolutely fascinating - how the reflex action every time any section of another country wanted independence. The knee-jerk reaction is always to support it.
