What they are doing is calling into question the credentials and capabilities of any professional based on their race, which is something 99% of the population doesn't do right now. To wit, you want the best doctors, so you find those who are most skilled, period. Now you'll have to consider whether someone is being put forth as "qualified" to fill a quota, and therefore not really the beat at what they do.

Candidate quality is *not* the primary point. The process flow for hiring used to be "hire the best person you can afford." It was fairly simple in terms of rules. Hard to execute, but simple from a rules standpoint. No longer.
At best, it's now "rank all the best candidates and pick the best non-white or non-male candidate available unless the white or male candidate has a commanding lead." At worst, it's "hire the best non-white or non-male candidate available, no matter what - or don't fill the position."
These corps tie manager and executive compensation to race-based hiring. DEI percentages in bonuses are often very high. If half of your bonus depends on hitting your DEI goals, you'll damn well hit them. Bonus funding also serves for collective punishment and reward. If your division doesn't hit the goal, bonus will be cut for the entire division - even for non-manager employees. This creates upward and downward pressure to do as much as DEI hiring as possible.

No, I think it's something 99% won't publicly admit to doing but many do in fact do. And they should. The legal profession, for example, aggressively hires women and minorities whenever it can and often without regard to ability, as opposed to credentials. The destruction of our credentialing system has been undertaken to achieve this very result. You should be wary/skeptical when you're greeted with this kind of inorganic diversity. Or don't be. it's not like people consult lawyers when important interests are at stake or anything.

On the civilian air side of things... private planes mostly, there's been an uptick in "stupid things happening" to them as well. Some crashes have been attributed to poor ATC instructions or ATC not knowing what the fuck they're doing.

Someone did a vid not that long ago, showing street vendors, I'm not sure where. Might have been India, or somewhere else around those parts.
The vendors would scoop up water out of the sewer, use that for cooking. Boiling these massive pots of things, then slop the whole mess onto one's plate. And people would eat it.

Reminds me of the day years ago when my teen son came home from his job at JiffyLube, and said he'd discovered the secret: he had worked on not one but two cars in the same day for Indian clients, both of which reeked of that indefineable smell, BOTH of which had little crown shaped "air fresheners" labelled "Kashmir Woods".
He smelled the little crown to make sure, and yep, it was the smell.
He was amazed that people spent money to have things smell like that.
(perhaps it is a particular spice or something that just smells of ass? I remember buying printed cotton fabric from immigrant stores decades ago, when the dyes were still set with...urine. beautiful fabric, but wash MULTIPLE before using)

The stuff was listed in my mother's old Pharmacopeia textbook from probably the Thirties. Perusing that, I noticed that doctors and nurses pretty much had two "official" meds that worked at all: morphia and digitalis. The rest was hope, guesswork, and common sense.

The bad part about Hinduism is that it encourages things like fatalism and caste systems, because it basically says that if you're oppressed in the here and now, you deserve it, because you obviously were an awful person in your last life and this is your punishment. (Buddhism is better Hinduism in that it makes improving other people's karma a big part of improving your own. The biggest heroes in Buddhism are the bodhisattva, who have delayed their own nirvana in order to lead other to the same path.) However, at least Hinduism, unlike Islam, doesn't say that its followers are destined to rule the world and are justified in doing anything they want to bring that about. The great irony about Islam is that for all its supposed fatalism and submitting to the will of Allah, it really gives its adherents the greatest role in bringing about the success of the religion and the greatest rewards in the here and now.

Yeah, while the chauvinistic Hindus are annoying in many ways, I can't blame them for being pretty pissed off about what the Muslims did to them for all of those years. There's a reason why the Brits were able to take over that country despite being wildly outnumbered; most of the population hated their rulers' guts. (I find it really rich that some revisionist Indians are trying to claim that most Indians in the 18th century were really OK with the Moghul empire and it was only British cruelty that allowed them to take over. When I was a senior in high school in Maryland, there was a freshman girl who was Pakistani. She had jet black hair, but otherwise she made my English rose/Scottish redhead wife look swarthy; most perfect porcelain skin I've ever seen.
