The great thing about how records were produced is that an entire side was typically meant to be cohesive experience for the entire side, not necessarily a theme but to deliver a sonic experience.
I listened to Moving Pictures for the first time in probably 35 years and from the opening synth stab of Tom Sayer to the closing drum crescendo of Limelight, it's an amazing experience.
The "B" side of Witch Hunt to Vital Signs, which has really crept up in appreciation to me, is also just so cohesive.
Van Halen I is like that as well.

That was a format for radio stations in the '70s. Those were the stations that would play non-hit single cuts off an album. They didn't follow the Hot 100 or Top 40, maybe not even albums that were on the best-selling lists.
Maybe some stations had segments where they played an entire album side without commercials for that same immersive experience; I dunno.

My setup is a 2.1 Genelec Speaker and Sub setup a Yamaha receiver and pre-amp.
The weakest link is the phonograph, its an audio technica, lower end unit.
I mean, it sounds amazing, but it could be better.

MRNA technology is not new, they originally tried to use it as cancer therapeutics, they found that instead of fighting cancer, it would accelerate cancer growth, so it was shelved.
That is until a opportunity allowed them to dust it off and bring it to market in another context.

We buried my brother in law today. He had at least 4-5 boxes of ashes from his previous dogs going back 20+ years. We put them all in the casket to be buried with him.

We had an African Grey we got in Nigeria. He was pretty young when we got him. You have to watch what you say around them as they pick up words and phrases quickly. We left him with one of my wife's sisters in NO when we left Nigeria for the UK. He died from pneumonia while we were gone.

Delilah succumbed to an extremely aggressive tumor in her sinus. The poor thing must have been in agony. There was nothing to do except let her go and spare her any more suffering.
Afterwards I admit my voice cracked and my eyes filled when I thanked the vet and her staff for the care they provided over the years (please don't revoke my man card). The vet burst into tears and said it was a privilege to be part of Lila's story.
Her Majesty is devastated. She's been in this for 50+ years but this one was hard. You don't spend years on the road together without forming a special bond.
The puppies will be fine. They've largely been weaned but no longer have a role model to teach them.
Thank you for your best thoughts and prayers. Thank you for listening patiently to my blathering about Lila over the years. You all are wonderful folks.

Views like this changed the way I look at pets - especially my cat. Our home will be the only world she knows, so why not make it the best place it can be.

It's no small thing to care for a cat or dog for a lifetime, especially with today's high prices for food, supplies and vet care. All my cats have been rescues; I figure, if I don't save them, who else would?
But I'm too old now to take on any more, so when these four are gone, that's it. I worry who would take them if I pass before they do.

Starting to reminisce about Christmas Parades from my childhood tonight for some reason.
There was the Hollywood Parade. Televised it was.
My own Montrose Parade...a very local event but the crowds came out with the children.
Very fine event year after year.
