Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 12/12/23![]() The U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) took credit for the illegal protest, boasting in a Monday morning social media post that "100+" of its activists "have TAKEN OVER the Senate atrium for Palestine, singing 'Ceasefire Now" and 'Stop Weapons Now.'" Protesters spilled red-stained money—which they said symbolized U.S. aid to Israel—on the floors of the Hart Senate Office Building and unveiled banners that said "'Aid' to Israel = bombing Palestinians." Capitol Police arrested more than 40 protesters, two of whom were charged with resisting arrest. USCPR's illegal protest marks the latest example of a Soros-backed group descending on the Capitol complex to rally against Israel. Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow similarly infiltrated the Capitol in October, with protesters accusing the Israeli government of "genocide." Those groups have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Soros's philanthropy arm, the Open Society Foundations. Soros's nonprofit has also funneled $700,000 to USCPR's parent organization, Education for Just Peace in the Middle East, since 2018, grant disclosures show. Open Society said $300,000 of that money would "promote freedom, justice, and equality in a world without racism and oppression." In addition to the Soros money, USCPR's parent organization has received $580,000 from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, an influential left-wing nonprofit that says it works to advance "social change that contributes to a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world." That organization, Education for Just Peace in the Middle East, has been accused of abusing its charity status to bankroll Hamas and other Palestinian groups. The group is the fiscal sponsor of the Palestinian BDS National Committee, which counts as members five different U.S. designated terrorist organizations, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, according to Tablet. USCPR has ties to House Democrats, with the group having cosponsored a May congressional event with Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) that mourned Israel's founding. The event marked the "Nakba," a Palestinian term for the creation of Israel that loosely translates as "catastrophe." While then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) blocked the event from occurring by reserving the Capitol Visitor Center space that Tlaib planned to use, Senate Democrats gave Tlaib space to host the event in a committee room. It's more George Lincoln Rockwell than Norman Rockwell. You know, in the aftermath of 1/6/21, and really as a matter of policy, if any person or group of persons attempted to storm the Senate or House wouldn't the Capitol Police take them down, and if need be by the use of deadly force? After all, "our precious democracy" (vomit) has been threatened, no? Meh, as we all know too well, nobody "stormed" anything. These degenerates were allowed in by their degenerate congresscritters and security was ordered to not do jack shit. Of course, this raises the question of where Speaker Mike Johnson was when this happened, since he is the head of the Capitol cops. At least on paper. This pre-planned, orchestrated showboating for the TV cameras is a farce and is SOP whenever a conservative justice or other nominee is up for consideration, or when Code Pinko or some other Marxist group somehow "spontaneously" shows up to debase themselves whilst pretending to be defending democracy, the planet, vaginas, or whatever. Yet, even phony stunts like these send a message that can and often does lead to disaster: On Thursday afternoon, the day before the beginning of Hanukkah, a man named Mufid Fawaz Alkhader went to a synagogue, Temple Israel in Albany, N.Y. He was carrying a shotgun and fired two shots. According to police who went to the scene, he screamed “Free Palestine.” The FBI is now hard at work, trying to figure out his motive. No kidding. . . . . . Hawkins “said the incident is being investigated as a hate crime, but it wasn’t clear what charges could be filed. They could include federal charges.” But the intrepid FBI is not sure why this happened at all; it “said in a statement that it was investigating the incident along with local, state, and federal agencies.” The statement added, “Our office immediately deployed multiple resources and will continue to work in concert with our law enforcement partners, to include the United States Attorney’s Office, to work through the facts and determine any potential motives.” Of course! Alkhader sure knows how the game is played these days: carry out a gratuitous, unprovoked act of aggression and then claim victimhood status. After all, who are the left’s heroes today? The “marginalized.” The “excluded.” So what better way to bid to become a hero among increasingly antisemitic leftists today than by claiming to be an outcast? Moral inversion is the name of the game. Fire random shots outside a synagogue, and then claim it’s someone else’s fault, and people will actually believe you. . . . . . Yeah, Alkhader’s motive is tough to figure out. He has a common Muslim name, he screamed “Free Palestine,” and he chose to go to a synagogue and start firing a shotgun. What could possibly have motivated such behavior? Could he share the general rage at Israel for defending itself after Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre of 1,200 Israelis? Ever cautious, ever careful, the FBI is not jumping to any conclusions! Why, he could have been watching his weight and enraged by the suspected presence of doughnuts inside the building! Why would you leap to the idea that he was some kind of Islamic jihad terrorist, you Islamophobe? Consider, on the other hand, an alternate scenario: imagine that a white American non-Muslim named John Smith carried a shotgun to the parking lot of a mosque, where he fired off two shots and screamed “This is MAGA country!” Do you think that the FBI would have issued a statement saying that they were going to “work through the facts and determine any potential motives”? As Old Joe Biden would say, Come on, man! John Smith would be looking at hard time and maybe even at never breathing free air again, and the establishment media would be inundating us with dark warnings about the Trump-incited “white supremacist threat.” For years now, FBI top dog Christopher Wray has been claiming that “white supremacists” constituted the nation’s chief terror threat. It has now been twelve years since the federal government removed all mention of Islam and jihad from government counter-terror materials and gave us instead the Countering Violent Extremism program, which ignores jihad violence and focuses on a largely imaginary “right-wing extremism” — you know, angry parents at school board meetings and folks strolling around the Capitol snapping selfies on Jan. 6, 2021, after the police opened the doors for them.Robert Spencer nails it again. I mean, there are threats but then again, there are threats. Of course, we already have an older man by the name of Paul Kessler assaulted and killed by a pro-Hamas professor in California, or as Christopher Wary would insist, was a victim of accidental contact with a megaphone and gravity. Plus, as you can see in the links below, mobs going crazy in NYC and now in LA. Those two cities of course are historically hotbeds of John Bircher, KKK, Aryan Nations and other white supremacist hardcore "right-wing" racists. What? They're traditional safe havens for Jews and minorities? Hmm, I'm so confused. Our government is comprised of two elements: an illegitimate junta that is hell bent on destroying us from within and seizing absolute power, and an alleged opposition that at best is impotent and ignorant, and at worst in cahoots with the tyrants. Our citizenry is also divided along similar lines: those who have either been brainwashed via the schools into applauding the tyranny and people who have been cowed, silenced or otherwise paralyzed into letting them have their way. Yet, that also raises the question of "citizenry" given the fact that we have no borders nor controls. That Albany synagogue shooter sure doesn't sound like any "Yankee doodle dandy," now does he? Popular opinion, however, would contend that all of the “presumed” citizens in the question – Awlaki, Hamdi, Guzman’s twin daughters, the Chinese surrogate children, and babies born to illegals – because of their made-in-the-USA birth certificates, are “natural born citizens.” So, presumably, besides enjoying all the benefits of that status, they could also all run for President of the United States. (And if one disagrees with any of that, they’re labeled “racist” or “birther") . . . . . . Now, citizenship is perceived to be purely derived by geographical location at the moment of birth, so well-timed travel planning is crucial. For the foreign relatives desiring admission to the U.S., an “anchor baby” birth in the right spot is cause for celebration. . . . . . In his report on illegal immigration titled: “American Jackpot: The Remaking of America by Birthright Citizenship,” Mark Cromer used the subheading: “Run, Squat and Drop.” Although “well documented in classic Chicano literature” it is perhaps an insensitive description, but such is the reality. “Run, squat and drop” is now joined by “fertilize, freeze, ship and implant.” Shipping one’s fertilized eggs half way across the world to implant them into the uterus of a U.S. resident so that the newborn will be guaranteed U.S. citizenship reveals the absurdity of the notion that mere location of one’s first breath is the sole determinant. Adding to the issue, all of these babies born on U.S. soil – to foreign citizens here legally but temporarily, illegally, or anonymously to U.S surrogates – are also granted citizenship by their parent’s home countries, making them dual citizens .at birth. The Oath of Naturalization for U.S. citizenship requires a formal rejection of other citizenships for foreign-born applicants. However, children born here as dual citizens are never formally required to make such a renouncement. The State Department rarely enforces its policies discouraging dual citizenship, and has adopted, as described by Frances Stead Sellers in her essay, “When Conflict Focuses on Citizenship,” a sort of “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. The very idea of double allegiance is considered “civic bigamy” by scholars such as Dr. John Fonte, who notes the “principle that an American citizen should be loyal to the United States and to no other country or political power is a moral and constitutional issue of the highest order.” In the book The 50% American, author Stanley Renshon estimated that more than 40 million Americans are dual citizens. That was in 2005. With the huge explosion of illegal immigration in recent years, that number will have skyrocketed. . . . . . Of course it cannot be implied that dual citizenship equates with terrorism, drug-smuggling or Communist aggression, but imagine the nightmare if America became involved in a global conflict while having a significant percentage of residents claiming not just heritage, but actual citizenship in the very countries with which we might be at war. Our nation’s sovereignty relies on citizens that belong on its side, with sole allegiance to the political community of the United States of America, which in turn, provides its citizens the guaranteed protection of the rule of law. Our enemies – not just countries but also terrorist groups and cartels – are well aware of the gaping hole in our fence, both physically and metaphorically. They see an easy way to not only invade, but to recruit soldiers and operatives who could use their “presumed citizenship” for access and protection. . . . . . Years of an uncontrolled, massive border surge consisting of millions of mostly military-aged males not eligible for asylum – and the certain probability that terrorists, cartels, and foreign adversaries are among them – have created an untenable security risk. And now, as the IDF is perhaps on the cusp of clearing Gaza, and ignoring calls for a cease fire, the calls will be for us to allow 1-2 million Gazans to settle over here (on top of the far too many Muslims already here legally or otherwise). I'm sure they're just itching to embrace the principles of our Constitution, history, heritage and tradition of tolerance and dive right into the great melting pot. To even suggest that adhering to the tenets of Islam that call for the conquest of countries outside the "umma," either via by stealth or open violence, is Islamophobic! Never mind history! Of course, who needs to import America-hating terrorists when we can raise them right here in the schools? As part of his private war against the Pope in Rome, during the years 1536-41 Henry VIII -- he of six wives fame -- ordered the dissolution of the monasteries of Britain and Ireland, stripping these longstanding institutions of their property, income, money, and destroying the priceless Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, and Norman cultural heritage of the British Isles in a fit of priapic pique. Churchmen were executed, and monastic libraries were torched. . . . . . Ah well, as another psychopathic monster, Uncle Joe Stalin, was reputed to have said some 400 years later: "You can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs." Britain and its renegade church, now on its last legs with the remains of the "Windsors" as its titular head, has been culturally much the poorer for it ever since. . . . . . What if we follow his lead, then, and abolish not the monasteries -- the current incarnation of the post-Vatican II Catholic Church is taking care of that all by itself -- but the Ivy League and a few other "elite" universities, the nests of "progressive" saboteurs who have inflicted incalculable damage on the United States since the arrival of the Frankfurt School on these shores just before World War II. Surely, the stunning, clueless malfeasance of three female Ivy League presidents would indicate that a thorough housecleaning is in order. The ritual self-immolation of one of the most egregious offenders, Penn's Liz McGill, was a good start, but let's face it there's lots more work to be done, boys and girls. . . . . . Schools like Harvard, which are sitting on mountains of cash, happily sailing along tax-exempt even as they grubbily collect billions in federal monies, and indulge in blatant racial discrimination have become the very definition of a racket. Plus, their straight-A students don't even know anything any more except the indoctrinating cant of their professors, although their self-esteem is off the charts. The Ivies are the madrassas of the Left, transmitting the tenets of their faith to their students' memories while the poor saps learn nothing of real-world value. So revoke their charters and close them all down for a period of at least ten to twelves years -- the Ivies plus Stanford, MIT, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Duke, and the University of California campuses at Berkeley, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Davis, and Irvine. Fire everybody and start over again, eliminating useless majors, returning a core curriculum of Western civilizational values, reducing grade inflation, abolishing affirmative action and anything smacking of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. What we need is the educational equivalent of a denazification program similar to the one instituted in Germany after World War II, to yank it out the moral corruption, root and branch. Only when the purge is complete should we allow them to re-open under the original terms of their chartering and under careful adult supervision.Friend and friend of the blog Michael Walsh makes my mouth water. And after we finish with the universities we can start in on the de-Nazification of Pre-K through high school. The rot is ugly, dark and deep. This of course goes hand in hand with the deporting of every single illegal alien in this country, followed by a very close look at the loyalties of those we granted citizenship to willy-nilly. But, of course, there's that pesky Constitution that the Left never abides by but who will no doubt use what's left of it to ram down our throats. At some point, some hard choices are going to have to be made regarding that document. The Left is fond of spouting that "The Constitution is not a suicide pact." One day we might have to embrace that, con gusto.

The WSJ "news" writers are now going after the Penn alumni who got Magill canned, with an article "How Rich Jewish Alumni Did This"
I paraphrased, and "Jewish" is not in the actual headline, but prominently mentioned early in the article in a one sentence paragraph. They wanted it to be a prominent fact in their write-up. No mention of an absence of moral values in Penn leadership, or the concepts of right and wrong. Only "rich Jews". Despicable. Antisemites writing on the damn front page of the Wall Street Journal. I am very gratified to see Michael Walsh grab hold of an idea I have been pushing for a while now - the model, and precedent, for dealing with the University system is Henry VIII's Dissolution of the Monasteries act of 1537. Because of the Reformation and Henry's break with Rome, this has usually been portrayed as purely a religious battle. Michael W. even glosses over this particular point, in order to focus on ideology, and I understand why.
But the economic reasons, and results, of Henry's action were even more profound than the religious ones. Before the Act, it has been estimated that Monasteries and their affiliates owned or controlled at least 1/3 (maybe even more) of all of the farmable land in England. This was the source of their incredible wealth and power. When Henry seized it all, he turned over much of it to his supporters and to people who lived on the land, fueling an economic boom that carried all the way through Elizabeth's reign. This was the true source of England's "Golden Age." Seizing all of the University endowments would not have quite the same effects today, but it still be a nice help. The animosity between the illegal Hispanics and blacks is already at a boiling point in urban ghettos. Chicago, NYC, LA and other places are reeling from the influx of illegals and expectations that they'll be taken care of.
They are initially... but after the new clothes, iPhone, bags of food and a couple nights in a hotel the illegals are just like any other demographic on welfare. Except they're first in line. I think the Dissolution is never discussed much because a) it was a long, long time ago, and b) Henry VIII was an autocratic tyrant, albeit a colorful one, and especially in America we have trouble admitting that sometimes even autocratic tyrants are capable of doing some very good things. But in Henry's day, this is one of the things that made him extremely popular with his people.
It's also why there are still so many beautiful ruins scattered throughout the English countryside. Posted by: Tom Servo at December 12, 2023 08:23 AM (S6gqv) 89
Our Lady of Guadalupe - Saint of the Day
St. Juan Diego, a humble Aztec peasant, saw the Blessed Virgin Mary on the Hill of Tepeyac near present-day Mexico City on December 9, 1531, the feast of the Immaculate Conception at the time. After a request by the bishop to prove her identity, Our Lady asked Juan Diego to gather the roses which he found growing on the hill, which were neither native to the area nor in season, and take them to the bishop. Juan Diego did so and placed the roses in his tilma (or cloak). Upon opening the tilma to reveal the miraculous roses to the bishop, there was something even more miraculous present—an image of the Virgin Mary dressed as a pregnant Aztec princess. The various design elements on the tilma read like a codex to the Aztecs, revealing to them the truth of the Catholic faith preached by the missionary priests. Millions quickly converted to the Catholic Church as a result. This apparition and image is venerated under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the first Marian apparition in the New World, and the only one where Our Lady produced an image of herself. The perfectly preserved tilma is venerated at her basilica and shrine in Mexico City. Posted by: Tonypete at December 12, 2023 08:23 AM (qoGsy) 90

Like putting pronouns on resumes, having an Ivy League education is a warning to employers that these applicants have been miseducated and are liabilities, not assets if hired. The gimmick of 'elite' universities was to get the truly talented to apply to them and then get the rich to pay exorbitantly to get their kids in so people would assume the scions of the wealthy were smart and talented. Allowing leftists to take over and drop standards for DEI killed the business model.

Both coaches went nuts… the ISU coach rushed at the other coach and had to be restrained??? Strange…. He explained after the game: “…But I’m a competitor, man. JJ, I guess you are the only one who can mention the birthright citizenship and running for president issue. I get my head bit off here when I mention that Nikki Haley's parents were not citizens upon her birth. Yes they were here legally but that doesn't make them citizens. That also goes for Ted Cruz, only one of his parents were citizens at the time. Same with Kamala Harris with both parents being foreign nationals. My point was any of these anchor babies can now become president with no familial allegiance to America at all. Letting the SCOAMF through with one parent who was God knows what and the other one a full blown communist was a huge mistake.

She, a Democrat, was "cancelled" (in an early sense) when she talked about means-testing benefits. “An unconstitutional act is not law; it confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office; it is in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed.” Norton vs Shelby County, 118 U.S. 425, p. 442.
States are playing with fire writing unconstitutional laws: any arrest under such a "law" is a false arrest, any subsequent prosecution is a malicious prosecution, any imprisonment a false imprisonment, any fine issued, a robbery (theft under threat of force). They can be sued for all of that, and they have no legal argument they can use to defend their actions. Lawmakers and executives are protected against personal lawsuits for their actions under the doctrine of "Sovereign Immunity". However, it is highly likely that the SCOTUS would rule that they lose that immunity for writing unconstitutional "laws". Governors and legislators of states backing the 28th amendment have already legally admitted that they KNOW their actions are unconstitutional. OOPS. Posted by: J.J. Sefton at December 12, 2023 08:35 AM (x0n13) Yes - I actually believe Netanyahu has played the situation as well as can be played, given the political situation in Israel. (and that changed massively on Oct 7) The question no one can answer is, what potential PM could have done things differently? When I ask this question of multiple Israelis, the answer is either "none' or some figures who could not possibly have ever become PM because of Israel's fractured and dysfunctional system. The only plausible challenger would be Benny Gantz, and he is part of the War Cabinet now and has concurred in every single decision Netanyahu has made since Oct. 7; so how would he be different? Just a little younger version of the same thing. But it's worth noting that increasingly, Netanyahu has been telling the Biden administration AND the UN to Go To Hell, and they are going full speed without regard for what any of the handwringers outside want. He reflects the people of Israel perfectly in this. Posted by: Tom Servo at December 12, 2023 08:46 AM (S6gqv) 201

The second common item is explosive charges. "It's hard to find a street without a house that has several ready-to-use, including vests, uniforms, and pretty impressive combat equipment," he added. It's interesting to watch how coverage of the war by American media has dwindled to almost nothing as Israel approaches victory. Hamas resistance continues to collapse in the north, as there have been multiple unit-level surrenders, including the entire Jabaliyah battalion.
In the South, Khan Younis (the last Hamas stronghold) has now been carved up into several distinct pieces by armored columns, and now those pieces are being systematically eliminated, one by one. The only reason the process seems slow is that the IDF is being very methodical about it. Tactically, this campaign has been so masterful that I believe war colleges around the world will be studying it for the next 100 years. Posted by: Tom Servo at December 12, 2023 08:59 AM (S6gqv) 267

No Republican has a chance in '24. There's been little effort put into cleaning up the "election" and "voting" processes that were corrupted so bad last time. Right now, today, *biden will be reelected by another massive margin. Trump, if he's on the ballot will likely pull in enough legit votes to come in second. Nikki Haley or whoever the GOP sacrifices is going to be a distant third.
If *biden is out of the equation I would expect it's because the uniparty / deep state wasn't comfortable with the margin of fraud. It's why they're trying so hard to disqualify Trump from running. Posted by: Martini Farmer at December 12, 2023 08:59 AM (Q4IgG) 269

The "ritual self-immolation" of McGill is a victory only insofar as it is a piece of evidence that the internal power struggles between groups of progs resulted - as it results more frequently recently given their near-total consolidation over the past decade - in the eating of one of their own. That's good, as such struggles distract them a bit from torturing the people - but it is not net progress in terms of containing the progs as a meta-group. They are still on top overall. As in the USSR and Red China, the factions engage in war with one another while the people suffer in bondage more or less the same. Had Beria won and Kruschev lost, things would probably have been moderately worse for the people. Had any of Xi's Party opponents won, things would probably be moderately better for the people. In the grand scheme of things, though, it's more or less a push. The meta-group overall needs disempowering. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at December 12, 2023 08:59 AM (zxP/x) 271

This is the Captain of the Enterprise. Our respect for other life forms requires that we give you this... warning. One critical item of information that has never been incorporated into the memory banks of any Earth ship. Since the early years of space exploration, Earth vessels have had incorporated into them a substance known as... bocce. It is a material and a device which prevents attack on us. If any destructive energy touches our vessel, a reverse reaction of equal strength is created, destroying -- DESTROYING the attacker. It may interest you to know that since the initial use of bocce more than two of our centuries ago, no attacking vessel has survived the attempt. Death has... little meaning to us. If it has none to you then attack us now. We grow annoyed at your foolishness. Posted by: capt. james t. kirk at December 12, 2023 09:00 AM (krqg6) 273

Chinese lander detects giant polygons buried beneath Mars
In its latest scans, Chinese lander Zhurong revealed irregular polygonal wedges beneath Mars’ surface. Scientists believe the buried shapes resulted from water freezing and thawing billions of years ago. On the other hand, they could also be from cooling lava flows. Both possibilities could reveal more insights about the Red Planet. If those polygonal structures came from water freezing and thawing, that could mean the planet had oceans like Earth’s. Consequently, it might increase the likelihood of finding life on Mars, such as microscopic organisms. Posted by: SMOD at December 12, 2023 09:01 AM (RHGPo) 278

The anti-DeSantis emotion around here is amazing, when he is obviously the better policy and manager than Trump and, equally obviously, the worse politician. PDJT is just more talented at campaigning than all the other GOP candidates, plain and simple.
Unfortunately, PDJT is also probably is the one Republican who might lose... _ I'd vote for DeSantis in a heartbeat. I just think it was stupid of him to jump in and screw up instead of teaming up to try and save the republic. There is not a single (R) that can win unless the same people who we watched removed Trump allow that (R) to win. That happened. We witnessed it. It was real. None of those problems have been resolved, and many have been strengthened. This is not debatable. Add to that the articles that have been coming out that the U.S. military decides what can and cannot be discussed on social media and has figured out how to game the algorithms to make or bury stories. That's why Nikki Haley can, and I suspect will, win. The only hope for anyone else was a miracle, and that's what Trump/DeSantis could've offered. But that looks less likely with each passing day.

But. I still think part of his calculation is that somehow Trump would be kept off the ballot. So, he needed to get thing rolling, raise his profile in case that happened. That we he had a chance to win if that happened.
That's my view of it, too. As I have said before, I think DeSantis gambled that the dems' lawfare would so tie up Trump that Teh Donald wouldn't run and that DeSantis, if he made the appropriate noises, could pick up the MAGA vote. But, as the saying goes, he chose poorly. He surrounded himself with Bush / Deep State hacks, he waffled and issued anodyne statements concerning the Mar-A-Lago raid as well as insisting 2020 was completely above board. Posted by: SMOD at December 12, 2023 09:03 AM (RHGPo) ++++ It's so easy - especially when the state is sloppy (deliberately or not) with voter rolls. For the 2020 election, I was in CO. CO was cheat-by-mail even before COVID and allows ballot harvesting (technically only for immediate family, but whatever). For the 2018 election, I received one ballot in the mail. For 2020, I received *five* ballots in the mail: - Joe Mannix - Joseph Mannix - Joseph R. Mannix - Mr. Previous Tenant - Mrs. Previous Tenant I never got ballots for Mr. and Mrs. Previous Tenant before at that address. I don't know where my extra registrations came from. CO has motor voter, so for all I know, they ran automation to goose up the rolls. Or mere incompetence on database merges. But I returned one ballot, as I was entitled to return. How many people in that situation would have returned all five? How many multi-ballot scenarios were there where the extras were diverted to some warehouse? Who knows. Cheat-by-mail is a disaster. So...either they go to war to get more women (or die trying) or you accept they'll be kind of rapey... Posted by: 18-1 at December 12, 2023 09:30 AM (XqcwY) 417

They get to let the Republicans have the big collapse, and the Republicans get to implement all the WEF stuff that people are wary of the Democrats putting into place. I'm certain this is the plan. I was told inflation has "ticked down".
Lol. Decreased the rate of increase! Winning! Posted by: Cat Ass Trophy at December 12, 2023 09:31 AM (s5ZnM) ++++ It did tick down, but it provides no relief today - which people are learning. Assume inflation hits zero this week and holds there. Prices do not come down by a single penny at the macro level - they just stabilize now at their post-inflation levels. Way too many people think "inflation is down, so prices will be lower." The press does its level best to sow this interpretation, but that's a mistake because it creates a misalignment of expectations. People think prices "return to normal" but they don't, which breeds confusion. The confusion is converted into resentment when politicians and press whores keep telling them that happy days are here again but they're still broke. >>It sure seemed like DeSantis was a shoe-in for the GOP. Did the donors, movers and shakers not know what his positions were while governor? Of course they did.
A guess? The donors and party/campaign people who flocked to his campaign were anti-Trump. I am sure there were some Ron fans, too, but it appeared to be a lot of the "former Republican" types who saw an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone: get DeSantis and Trump to destroy each other. Pretty sure there are similar people on the Trump campaign -- they are there to destroy. The awful Laura Loomer springs to mind, who months ago tweeted (paraphrasing): It's my mission to make sure Ron DeSantis never holds office again. DOes that sound like someone who wants the Republican party to succeed? I just assume bad actors have creating mischief in all the campaigns. *shrugs* Posted by: Lizzy at December 12, 2023 09:34 AM (izj35) 426
Barack Obama produces Netflix film adaptation that says white people shouldn’t be trusted in the apocalypse

The U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) took credit for the illegal protest, boasting in a Monday morning social media post that "100+" of its activists "have TAKEN OVER the Senate atrium for Palestine...Those groups have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Soros's philanthropy arm, the Open Society Foundations.
Shouldn't The Open Society and all the Soros be investigated for insurrection? I'd like to see that. The main reason I am leaving the Democratic Party is its utter disconnect with the American people. The party that once championed the working class has now been overtaken by elites in affluent hubs who couldn’t care less about the struggles of the average American. This shift has left many Americans, including myself, unheard and feeling like an afterthought of the Democratic Party.
By joining the Republican Party, I am not abandoning my values. Instead, I’m seeking a political home that aligns more closely with my vision for a free, united, and prosperous America. The Republican Party, with its emphasis on individual freedoms, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to addressing the concerns of all Americans, offers a new path forward — one that I am eager to explore as I re-enter the political arena. Will Pierce served as executive director of Draft Biden 2016, worked for Sanders’ 2016 and 2020 campaigns, and raised funds for Biden in 2020. 'Morning, all, and thanks, J.J
Workingfamilies.org has the Ceasefire Tracker indicating as of 12/7, at least 61 members of Congress, including 4 Senators (Durbin, Merkley, Warren & Welch), called for a ceasefire or cessation of hostilities in Israel & occupied Palestine. Rep. Cori Bush (MO-01) sponsored H. Res. 786. Alma Adams (NC); Jamaal Bowman (NY); Andre Carson (IN); Greg Casar (TX); Maxwell Frost (FL); "Chuy" Garcia (IL); Jonathan Jackson (IL); Pramila Jayapal (WA); Barbara Lee (CA); Summer Lee (PA); AOC (NY); Ilhan Omar (MN); Ayanna Pressley (MA); Delia Ramierz (IL); Rashida Tlaib (MI); Nydia Valazquez (NY) & Bonnie Coleman (NJ) co-sponsored the bill. The list goes on & includes 'the usual suspects" but I was a tad surprised 'my' Mary Gay Scanlon (PA) was there. Why? IDK. Timing?? 'Hubby's' (different last name) prestigious law firm launched the Racial Justice & Equity Pro Bono Litigation Initiative July 2020, the "storied" program later awarded by the Phila. Bar Foundation. (Note: She runs or ran the firm's Pro Bono Litigation.) And Ms. Scanlon marched in the mostly peaceful, largely unpermitted, always scary, local BLM marches during in the spring/summer of 2020. #2 - Following the Oct. 7th Hamas terrorism, the prestigious law firm also published a fine, "Where We Stand."
In Nov., Ms. Scanlon joined a controversial (AOC) letter calling for a cease-fire & condemning Israel's military operation in Gaza as grave violations against children. However, as reported by the Jewish Insider, on November 22, 2023, she also met with the family members of Ditza Heiman, an 84-year-old grandmother believed to be held hostage by Hamas. (Reportedly, Heiman's family members were concerned by her support for a letter which called for a cease-fire but not the release of hostages.) And then, as reported by the Times of Israel, Ditza Heiman was released as part of a temporary ceasefire deal brokered by Qatar and the United States between Hamas & Israel on Nov. 28th. Roll in Penn's controversy & that of several other area colleges/universities; harassment at Jewish sites & that the 'standard' White supremacists letters Eastern PA is so famous for are again being dropped at night in some of the nicer areas, near Black occupied homes of course - to further agitate & horrify the public. There's a bit of voting schizophrenia for a 2024 must win state. Timing.
