WikiArt says this is a watercolor painted in 1914. Larsson does these little slices of daily life, not unlike Rockwell in that. IMO

I think Swedish playwright August Strindberg had a falling out with Carl Larsson, because the latter made too many pictures of the Larsson family as happy and wholesome.

I like this painting; it's sharp and clear. Remember how all the drawings in your grammar school-era coloring books had sharp black lines around them, so you could color within the boundaries?
