The pups are doing fine, too. Eyes are open and they're stumbling around. George and Phoenix have even tried to get out of the box. But mostly they sleep. Sleep is good. Maybe I'll try some.

We've started trying them with a paste made of Esbilac and baby rice. They're still not sure at this stage, but they'll be digging in within the week.

True story: It was either here or on my own blog that I proposed starting a stock fund that mimics the purchases of Congress. This was during Obama's rein. Shortly thereafter some piece of legislation went through Congress to crack down on trading. Immediately after a State of the Union address the camera (no doubt pre-planned) had Obama in a close up saying words to the effect to 'put it on my desk and I'll sign it tomorrow'. It ended up on his desk. He signed it.

It was retracted within three months.

Something $$$ big like the set of new silver-painted wheels I ordered for the Buick, well, I made sure I can return them if I don't like the color or if, by some wild chance, they don't fit the car properly. Tire Rack knows what they are doing -- I've ordered multiple tires from them and had zero problems -- and they assured me they've already measured the wheels with great care.

We went with Discount for the Miata tires before the TexasMoMe, as comfort and safety in that little thing on a several thousand mile trip were paramount.

While price was good, even using their RoadForce balancing system failed to catch two rims that were out by a small amount, and one rim that had a significant trueness issue. Every effort to balance them out came up with a slight imbalance.

Finally went with a rim straightening service outside of Fayettville NC that got the rims corrected, and the difference was amazing.

I was talking to a lawyer earlier this week about the Boy Scouts of America bankruptcy case and I asked why in the hell are they bothering with a 20% bankruptcy? Man, yesterday was one storm after another until dark. We had over 2 inches of rain, most of it during one thunderstorm in the early afternoon.

I was in the garage / shop next to the house when it started and I basically stayed out there until the first storm quit. Lots of lightning and I felt safer in the garage with a cigar and beer.

Here is absolute and irrefutable and undeniable still and moving images of the barbaric nature of their belief system.
