26 Stretches and calisthenics done. Time to shave and shower. Last night when I got home the water was off; a plumber was doing something in my building. I was thinking I'd have to shave from a bowl filled with spring water this morning. But they got the water flowing again about 7 p.m.

Amazing how dependent we get on that amenity. Good thing I bought some water this summer when we were threatened with salt water coming up the river.

And when you go to sell a house, that's the way the buyers think. Now, it would be nice if the rooms aren't painted some bright color, and you could live with it a few months, but our house is pretty neutral.

Also, try Realtor.com for house looking. They usually have a better info on the house.

Truth be told, Military Dentistry is usually pretty good. In most case as good if not better than civilian dentistry and there is a built in quality control since others see your Dentistry. Also money and time usually NOT play a factor in the treatment.

192 I may have imagined this, but i think "equality" is aequum (sp?), meaning equal, plain old equal, where "equity" is from equus, meaning horse, or how many horses your property can sustain, and therefore how much you can support the cavalry, and therefore how much your property, and by extension you, is worth.

Equity as a modern socio-racist concept is all about how much you are worth as a person. How much you as a socio-racist entity have to offer the host as it gears up for war.

Happy successful people of any race or genitalicity have nothing to offer the revolutionaries.

Say's law is that supply creates its own demand. I don't think anyone has posited that demand creates its own supply. If it did there would be no price mechanism, no scarcity, and no market.

So anyone who does believe that, overtly or subconsciously, is fooling themselves. But it does seem natural enough if you're brought up in a society that takes entrepreneurial for granted.

The concept of 'equity' that I see in the modern progressive rat holes is the equity of

Report card grades
Pay check
Housing
Vehicle ownership
Home internet speed
Restaurant access

And so on.

IOW, street sweeper or brain surgeon, you live in the same level of residence, and get the same paycheck.

To them we represent the goal of taking all our 'stuff' away. They have this incorrect perception that there are so many wealthy people in this country that if they just were to 'spread that wealth around' everyone would be on Easy Street.

I think some years ago I calculated that if all of Trumps assets (by the most generous assessment of their value) were liquidated then equally disbursed, everyone on the planet would be a single dollar richer.

203 'Equites' were the step just below the patricians in the Roman social order (which ALL had to do with how well you could equip yourself for battle.)

Equites- could maintain a horse and ride it to battle (cavalry.)
The next step down could supply a full set of armor and a shield and spear/sword.
Light infantry- just a weapon usually, maybe some armor.
The lowest were the slingers.

Now there were property requirements as well, but how useful you could be to the Legions were paramount. Everything else was just details.

Note: this is for the early days of the republic, before they got successful and stupid shit started creeping in.

So that when you notice the sock you dropped on the floor, you have to shut it off and wait while it decides to allow you back into the washer.

First world problems, but it was a constant annoyance.
