So, first: when your murder rate is 1 (per 100K) and it goes to 1.5 compared to a murder rate of 20 that goes to 25, YES, the rate rises faster.

Per my understanding, PACs are limited in terms of how much they can give to candidate campaigns, but not in terms of how much they can spend on candidates.
MannixPAC could give $5k to Cthulhu For President and no more, but that's not an issue at all. MannixPAC could still take out ads on TV and send direct mail and make phone calls and send door-to-door canvassers to deliver the good news about Cthulhu and make the case for why it ought to be president, and can do so without limit - so long as Cthulhu and its campaign do not coordinate with MannixPAC.

If you go from $10k in sales in a year to $1 million in sales in a year, you're growing 100x per year - pretty damn fast, but also pretty damn easy when yours is a new company and you have lots of sales incentives and the kind of white-glove customer service that often comes from startups.
"Fastest-growing cloud storage provider" isn't difficult to achieve - especially if you can determine *what* is the growth metric you want (revenues, customers, gigabytes, etc.) and doubly so if you can also choose the time period you want (year, quarter, month, half-hour, etc.).

No. The stoners were their own problem, but it was much later on from the root problem of colonization by Californians, primarily from Silicon Valley. CO was subject to two massive population influxes within a 20-year period. The first was the telecom boom (90s) and the second was the cost-rationalization era following the tech wreck (mid aughts through mid teens), where lots of CA tech companies took advantage of the high tech skill level - and lower cost structure - in the Front Range to outsource a lot of CA operations. A lot of CA people came with it, and the state faltered from purple into blue. Then universal cheat-by-mail sealed the deal and the Party went whole-hog.
It was deliberately targeted by the Party as a conversion opportunity. Staggering sums of money poured in to CO as a part of the overall campaign.

She's not attacking him. She was his ambassador to the UN and did well. She has an air of loyalty to him personally.

No. The stoners were their own problem, but it was much later on from the root problem of colonization by Californians, primarily from Silicon Valley. CO was subject to two massive population influxes within a 20-year period. The first was the telecom boom (90s) and the second was the cost-rationalization era following the tech wreck (mid aughts through mid teens), where lots of CA tech companies took advantage of the high tech skill level - and lower cost structure - in the Front Range to outsource a lot of CA operations. A lot of CA people came with it, and the state faltered from purple into blue. Then universal cheat-by-mail sealed the deal and the Party went whole-hog.
It was deliberately targeted by the Party as a conversion opportunity. Staggering sums of money poured in to CO as a part of the overall campaign.

* There were 1400 murders in FL (reported by... ?)
* There were 88 arrests for murder in FL (presumably reported by police departments, so already lowballed according to point 1)

I think VP picks as an excuse to appeal to sectors of the electorate are bullshit. They don't matter. VPs don't move votes. I did a statistical analysis a while back to see if VP's had a "favorite son" effect in their own states.
They didn't. Vote percentage changes in those states were statistically insignificant when factoring in the VP being from there.
I think that probably extends to most other sectors of the electorate. It's top line or nothing, and most of the time it's just about low level partisanship in the electorate and finding motivation to get out, and that motivation is never the guy who reads the newspaper in his office every day as his job.
VP talk is about appealing to insiders, and it's hard to imagine Trump making insiders happy with any choice that isn't him just leaving the political scene. Trump will play the game because he's a reformer not a revolutionary, but he shouldn't play the game.

I think that is how a lot of VPs are picked, and the conventional wisdom on some historical picks indicates that, but even if it has no actual impact I believe some candidates try to pick strategically in the hopes of affecting votes.

The conventional wisdom part was referring to the VP pick being a result of insider horse trading. I think a fair number of VPs are broadly assessed as being that, but not all can be explained by it.

I have a friend that went to Brown so I know things.
Plus I actually attended one of his EE classes there.
I have been to one lecture and Brown and one at Yale Med. The Yale Med lecture happened to cover skull fractures and in particular the one where you get hit in the nose and the sharp protrubance on the inside of the skull gets driven into the brain when the nose bridge fractures. What comes out is more spinal fluid than blood in this instance.
I was insuffurable for awhile pointing this out about the scene in Miller's Crossing where the guy gets a shovel to the face; the Cohens had spinal fluid come out his nose and I was giddy like a schoolgirl.

Scotus has already settled this one in that states cannot add any candidate qualifications to those of the US Constitution other than time, manner, and place of elections. See US Term Limits v. Thornton from the 80's which rested on Powell v McCormick regarding the House's refusal to seat Powell as representative without going through the task of expelling him which requires 2/3rds majority.
That is why by and large each move is failing in state and federal trial courts and as the failures accumulate then it is much more likely for Scotus to simply affirm the lower court rulings.
Trump's real risk is the DC trial and less likely the Georgia state one or the Florida classified documents federal case.

People forget that the GOP for a long time before Reagan was actually much more favorable to feminism, abortion, population control, and the equal rights amendment than Southern Democrats. It was Reagan's legacy to cause evangelicals to move from voting for one of theirs (Jimmah Cartah-Southern Baptist) to Reagan (divorcee and not obviously traditionally religious).
It was on pro life policy that moved the evangelicals and faithful Catholics from D-R in the South and North, not Reagan himself.

Yup. In CA there was even a scandal that dispensaries were selling dealer pot as official pot and pocketing the difference. The drug was is on again to protect California's cut. Jeez and 25 percent is a stupid large tax to have on anything you want to grow as a market.
