I believe the benefits of spatchcocking a turkey outweigh the "costs". Fast cooking and every bit as delicious. Not an aesthetic as the unspatched bird.

Former NY governor Andrew Cuomo, who faced disgrace over allegations of sexual misconduct, is now facing a lawsuit for sexual assault from his former executive assistant, Brittany Commisso.

The lawsuit was filed just before the deadline for the Adult Survivors Act, as reported by the NY Post on Friday.

Commisso claims that Cuomo subjected her to “humiliating and demeaning tasks, hugs, kisses, sexual touching of the buttocks, and forcible touching of the breast.”

The married mother of one, who joined Cuomo’s team in 2017, had previously accused him of groping her within the Executive Mansion. This earlier accusation resulted in a misdemeanor criminal complaint being filed against the former governor.

Doesn't surprise me. Having seen lots of stories of heinous crimes in other countries, I'm always amazed when the sentences are as light as they are. Such things as life in prison seem to be almost non-existent in some countries.

As it is though, of course they dropped criminal charges against him. They were never going to prosecute him, they just wanted him out of the governor's mansion.

Airstrikes destroyed the radar station and control tower on 4 December 2001 and bulldozers cut the runway on 10 January 2002. Its destruction left Gush Katif Airport as the only serviceable runway in Gaza, until it was abandoned in 2004. The closest public airports in the area are Ben Gurion Airport in Israel and El Arish Airport in Egypt.

This is what was done, transporting them to El Arish. But only after the Egyptians and Israelis allowed passage out of the Rafah Gate. Foreign nationals were stuck in Gaza for 1-2 weeks until they were let thru the Rafah Gate. All humanitarian stuff has to be shipped or flown to Al Arish then trucked to the Rafah Gate Inspection area. Only after stuff passes Egyptian inspection is it let into Gaza.

The above is why the Egyptians and Israelis have had a stranglehold on Gaza since the afternoon of Oct.7th.

Was at a Publix getting my sub made and some lady came along the counter from the right, literally between customers being sevred and the glass counter. Since I saw her coming I stepped up close to the counter, she went around me and right up on my left,
"I need tow heroes. Hey. I need two heroes here" while ignoring the people waiting in line behind me.

Guy taking care of me, without even lifting his head, walked in back and came out with somebody else, manager? He just took her order to get her the fvck of there.

202 Mexico has an interesting approach to the amateur/professional dilemma in sports. Mexican soccer has amateur, semi-pro, and professional teams, but they all bleed into each other. There are different levels of leagues, roughly like high school 2A - 6A leagues here. The worst record in each time gets dropped down a league at the end of each season, the best one gets moved up.
If a University President wants a really good team, he can go hire some pro's to play on his school's team, and they can kick ass fof a year. No one can stop them from doing that, but if they keep it up then in a couple of years they'll be playing in the purely Professional, level league. And that won't be as much fun as it was when they started.
