Top Story

  • Elon Musk went nuclear on Media Matters. (Tech Crunch)

The article tries do pretend this didn't happen, because as the saying goes You don't hate journalists enough. You think you do, but you don't.

Media Matters ran a shock exposé showing that Twitter ran ads against extremist content, leading to a flight of major advertisers.

But Twitter was watching while they did this.

What they did was create a new account and:

    1. Follow every Nazi meme account they could found (which was not many).
    2. Follow the major advertising brands they wanted to scare away from Twitter.
    3. Sit there hitting refresh over and over until they got the screenshot they wanted.

Only problem with that is that Twitter logged everything they did and can show that the only account in the world that saw those ads on those tweets was Media Matters, because they spent an entire day setting things up to get that result.

Does Tech Crunch tell you that? No.

Does The Register tell you that? No.

Does Ars Technica tell you that? No.

    They're all-in on censorship.

  • Oh, and the Texas Attorney General has announced a criminal investigation into Media Matters conduct. (MSN)

You don't hate journalists enough - but maybe Ken Paxton does.

I'm not sure, but I think the military is not vulnerable to this GPS spoofing. They use some special, encrypted "M-code" for military receivers that is different from the civilian open signals.

But I'm not sure if it's immune to spoofing completely. If there's a will, there may be a way.

Seems to me they could have just Photoshopped the ads in a lot easier. But if Twitter says the ad were delivered I guess they were. It's kinda hard to believe someone spent an entire day hitting refresh, or that Twitter tracks the ads delivered to every account.

12 The Australian Christmas song "Christmas Where the Gum Trees Grow" makes reference to jacaranda trees, as the blooms are only seen in summer time—as the song explains, "When the bloom of the jacaranda tree is here, Christmas time is near".

Also the trees are native to South America. How they got to Australia at this time is the mystery to me but I'm going to blame it on the 19th century English colonial fuckers.

There's a very narrow corridor that aircraft are permitted to fly over Cuba. Outside of that corridor a plane can get shot down. Oh, yeah the Castro regime charges every plane that passes through - probably an amount slightly less then the price of jet fuel required to fly around the island. So, anyway, I know we're flying over Cuba on the way back from Jamaica to the USA. Suddenly over Cuba there's a huge racket and the plane begins a rapid descent. A little nail biting for a few minutes. No, we weren't shot at, just lost one engine out of the three. Could not land in Philly because no repair facility. Spent the night in Oh, Canada.

Going through customs in Canada?

Customs: "What is the nature of your trip?"

Me: "To find a bed, go to sleep, wake up tomorrow and fly out of here."

In the end I spent about 12 boring hours in Canada. The airline was really good about booking everyone a room and picking up the tab for everything.

26 People are also posting sooner evidence that a few of the media matters screen shots are clearly edited to put the fake ad next to some tweets, as the alignment is off. For at least one a guy at X responded that their logs showed there's no point that that ad and tweet were on thr same timeline.

So even with their constant refreshing they needed to then lie.

It'll be hilarious, and for Elon worth every penny of the X cost, if he can bankrupt media matters and start to expose their dark money funding.

The only way we get the country back is if Republicans start destroying the funding source for all the leftist corruption. Confiscate the money and use it to give reparations to all those they hurt, like victims of their corrupt DA's bad decisions, or Anwar campaigns by websites.

It was NEVER Hunter's business dealings. It was Joe's. The good or service Hunter was pimping was Joe himself and all his influence to peddle. Without that, Hunter would never have had any business dealings. Hunter and James are just the bagmen; Joe is the product.

“The figure of a shoplifter may provide for a scapegoat for deeper problems that are more complex and intractable,” James Walsh, who directs the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s graduate program on criminology and justice, told CNN.

Eucalyptus is very common all over central and northern Israel.

The Brits brought them here to dry up the swamps in an effort to eradicate malaria.

They were also used to dry up the Hula Valley in the north of the country, both to reduce the mosquito breeding and to convert the area into farmland. The place is drenched in water from Mt. Hermon, the Golan Heights and the resulting Jordan River running right through it.

Drying up the Hula turned out to be an environmental disaster. "It's not nice to fool mother nature!" In recent decades there has been a controlled reversion back to part of the Hula's original natural state. Fortunately, the malaria stayed away.

One of these state provided 'counselors' lost control of her car in the school parking lot and struck my wife's car. I asked for her insurance information because the damage was going to be in the hundreds of dollars. She didn't want to give it to me. I said, 'Then I have to call the police.' She still wouldn't give it to me.

I don't wanna talk about these people anymore. It's like they're so bad they couldn't make it in public school.

Yikes. My local _ _ IU does not have a position in the school full time. And as far as I am aware, they only send speech and pt/ot for the few students who need it. I did make it a point to bring up to the head of school that I had concerns about them becoming beholden to State funds, because with State funds come state mandates. He assured me they take no state funding and only accept classroom tools from the IU which are biblical and come with no strings attached. Reassuring. This school did not mask mandate and did not take any ESSER funding.

Speaking about high-end computers... I recently bought a new PC. My old rig was unable to run some of the scenarios in a particular RTS simulation I play. Too much for the processors, video didn't really matter. I put more memory in the old rig and helped. A little bit. But some software is written, and evolved to run on fast, multi-core CPU's with sufficient overhead. My old PC wasn't up to the task.

Nope. She came to a stop but did not put the car in park. Bent over to get purse or something, foot came off brake. Car moved forward and sideswiped my wife's car, knocking three hundred mirror off and tearing up front fender.

A school parking lot. With little kids. The car could have continued down an embankment for even more damage. But the state feels it necessary to place these mental defectives in private schools. So the schools get some hearing specialist, a speech specialist, and a homosexual guidance counselor (on the down low) and some others. For free! What a deal.
