Look at the date.
You won't see discussion allowed at the classy sites, but if you peek into the dark corners you'll find normal people observing and voicing something interesting.
Folks watched people burn cities down, attack and murder cops, attack and murder business owners, etc., and nothing happened to them. Bailed out immediately, and murderers serving no time.
Normal people watching that sort of thing began to wonder why they should need to jump through hoops to fly their plastic toy, and decided they would also live outside the law.
This isn't a good thing for society long-term.

The day after I saw The Thing I was absent mindedly taking a morning show thinking about some of the scenes. Remember the guy whose head became a giant spider? I was thinking about that. I reached for a washcloth and a long leggity spider dropped to the bottom of the shower. I jumped so high I think I landed in the next county.

Never handled that type of property claim but I did handle a house fire that was caused by my policyholder's four year old grandson who decided to plug in the string of outdoor Christmas lights that had been just taken down and put in a box with newspaper for storage ( the old time big colored bulb lights) . It got hot enough over 8 hours to start a fire. The Karen homeowner indicated to me that she no longer had a grandson and she was serious. The fire had burned her large collection of antique dolls.

My vehicle has one headlight that works only on high beam. I've been told in the past that it is illegal to operate on high beam (which I do, to avoid getting a ticket for having headlight out) inside municipalities in Tennessee.
But because of the discoloration and age of my headlight covers, my high beams are actually dimmer than most new cars' low beams.
When and if I am ticketed, I intend to appeal the repair order issued to me on the grounds that operating a vehicle with high beams on can't be construed as a traffic hazard merely because the switch in the vehicle is set to high, it would have to be based on an objective standard of candlepower measurements.
And, Lord willing, I will see this oppressive law stricken from the books in the name of liberty.

LOL. That friend of mine and I were skiing at Jay Peak one day. Lots of Canadian visitors at Jay. When you get on Jay's tram, you're packed like sardines with about 40 other people. He was dying to just say it out loud, but in the end didn't.

A lifted truck with low beams on hits the oncoming traffic at a different angle than say something like a Corvette.
If it were the angle of the light, then semi trucks would be ticketed for having light at too elevated an angle.

Low beams are directed down, and slightly to the right, so as not to dazzle the eyes of drivers in oncoming vehicles. High beams are directed straight down the road, and parallel to the road surface. And yes, vehicles with headlights much higher than your sightline may dazzle you on low beam, but it is usually transitory. Being dazzled by high beams can endure for a while because the beam is parallel to the road, so an oncoming vehicle stays in the hot spot for some period of time.
