"The second component comprises a cation which will irreversibly react with at least one ligand on the Group IV-B metal complex and a non-coordinating anion. The combination of the two components produces an ionic catalyst composition comprising a cationic bis(cyclopentadienyl) Group IV-B metal complex which has a formal coordination number of 3 and a 4+ valence charge and the aforementioned non-coordinating anion. The anion is (i) labile and can be displaced by an olefin, diolefin or acetylenically unsaturated monomer; (ii) has a molecular diameter about or greater than 4 angstroms; (iii) forms stable salts with reducible Lewis acids and protonated Lewis bases; (v) has a negative charge delocalized over the framework on the anion or within the core thereof; (v) is not a reducing or oxidizing agent; and (vi) is a relatively poor nucleophile. These ionic catalyst compositions can be used to polymerize alpha-olefins, diolefins and/or acetylenically unsaturated monomers, either alone or in combination, to polymers and copolymers." The detailing of the room, the women, their attire is wonderful but that seems to be the scope of his paintings - Parisian women who belonged to the upper bourgeoisie. Very pretty paintings but, no, wouldn't hang.
However, ArtsDots dot com had some interesting info. about the artist which included, "By his 1861 marriage to Marie Lecadre, daughter of Nantes lawyer Alphonse Henri Lecadre, Toulmouche became a cousin by marriage of the painter Claude Monet. Toulmouche sent the young Monet to study with Gleyre." And, "In 1870, Toulmouche joined one of the battalions defending Paris against the German invasion in the Franco-Prussian War. ..." Thanks. President Biden’s approval rating has declined to the lowest level of his presidency — 40% — as strong majorities of all voters disapprove of his handling of foreign policy and the Israel-Hamas war, according to the latest national NBC News poll.
The erosion for Biden is most pronounced among Democrats, a majority of whom believe Israel has gone too far in its military action in Gaza, and among voters ages 18 to 34, with a whopping 70% of them disapproving of Biden’s handling of the war. “Failed promises, student loans, foreign policy in general,” said Democrat Zico Schell, 23, of San Diego, when asked why he disapproves of Biden’s job performance. "Student loans"? Biden has done everything he could to wave student loan debt on a massive scale. Perhaps "Zico" should do some research into who is really blocking these measures. Like Ken Lay with Enron, the Green revolution has relied heavily on government subsidies and a “revolution always” business philosophy aimed at making pariahs of anyone who dares oppose the grandiose – but fatally flawed – plan.
During the Obama Administration, Solyndra went under despite a $535 million government-guaranteed loan, none of which was paid back. Forbes, citing OpenTheBooks.com, noted that taxpayers were left holding the notes for $400 million given to Abound Solar, $280 million wasted by CaliSolar, $193 million doled out to Fisker Automotive (with another $336 million canceled), and $132 million to A123 Systems (a failed battery maker). Undaunted, the Biden Administration’s $2.3 trillion “jobs” package was rife with more subsidies for technologies that by their own admission are unsustainable. Yet despite all the free money, Ford, General Motors, and many other automakers are backing away from multibillion-dollar investments in new EV factories as new EV sales have slowed despite increased rebates. What, are you too afraid to make it clear? Let me go ahead and do it for you. "Student loan forgiveness" is a Democrat issue, not a Republican one. This concept is designed to buy the youth vote. But the problem is that it's a one-off shot and that isn't good politically. The Democrats have two reasonable choices to buy that vote *and* keep it on the reservation forever: 1. Defer over and over again - but only if the Dems keep winning. It is not "permanent" and so the fear of the *next* deferral failing to happen keeps them on the reservation. 2. Let it lapse occasionally and blame the GOP. This is called "failure theater," and it is not exclusive to the GOP side of things. As with many things this is a lack of will to fight on the GOP side. My college reform proposal? 1) Force colleges to cosign loans. Sorry Harvard when you take in someone to study women's studies you better make sure she's got a way to get $400K afterwards because that degree isn't going to do it. 2) Seize all endowments and pay them out to all living graduates/attendees equally. Both of those were SpaceX launches. Every time there's a Starship test launch I get really bored with all the idiots shrieking that its a big win for Biden because it exploded. I do wonder if giving Germany some heavily populated African colonies could have headed off WWI since it would have focused their energies there. The Frogs would never have gone for the idea, at least not the idea of giving up enough of their colonial possessions to make an impact on their relations with Germany. See Morocco and the Agadir Crisis (funny thing, I just read that chapter last night in Robert Massie's book Dreadnought).
