Netanyahu to Biden's Demand for a Ceasefire: Drop Dead

Well he didn't say that, but he did say no.

He also said he wasn't going to allow fuel deliveries to Gaza -- which Biden is desperate to make -- until they release the hostages they are holding and sometimes executing.

The Times of Israel:

In a brief televised statement before the start of Shabbat, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he has told visiting US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that he rejects any temporary halt to the fight against Hamas that does not include "the release of our hostages. He also says Israel "will not enable the entry of fuel to Gaza."
Netanyahu begins by promising that victory will be "sharp and clear" and will "resonate for generations."
He says Israel's enemies aim to destroy the country and will fail. "We won't stop until victory," he says, specifying that this means "to destroy Hamas, [and attain the] return of the hostages and the restoration of security for our citizens and children."

No American news channel reported Hamas's declaration that they would conduct 10/7 slaughters forever -- "10/7, 10/10, 10/one million," Hamas's spokesterrorist promised -- until Israel was "annihilated."

Except for NBC, unbelievably, which made a fleeting reference to it.

NBC actually bothered to ask Hamas a question about this:

. When Bradley asks, "How can you ask for a cease-fire -- how can you ask Israel to stop their aggression -- when you go on television in Lebanon, here last week, and say that you will continue your aggression, you will continue to do October 7 again and again?"
"What do you want us to do," Hamad responds angrily, "stop?"

Well, yes, actually. Video at the link.

Hamas insists they have a legal right to commit terrorism, under international law. And given the mutants who use international law as a weapon against any western country, they may have a point.

In his interview with NBC, Hamad was challenged to clarify that statement about repeating the October 7 massacre. He largely deflected, bringing up the massive number of Gazan civilians who have been killed since the start of the war. He said that the people of Gaza have been suffering for 17 years and it is the legal right of Palestinians to "fight against the occupation."
He furthered his point by bringing up the plight of Jews in Nazi Europe. "It is according to international law," Hamad said. "According to all of the regulations and the law. In Europe, you [fight] against the Nazis."

You are the Nazis.

Hey, by the way, about that: The left used to tell us that we should all "Punch Nazis" and that Punching Nazis was no crime, but a service to humanity.

Does the left still believe that? Shall we descend upon college campuses and take the advice of the left and start Punching (actual) Nazis?

It is inevitable that the Democrat Party will softly support Hamas. They will try to talk out of both sides of their mouths, but they have decided: They need those Hamas voters, and therefore Jews are just New York Money Men and Oppressors and Colonialists and they no longer have a place in the woke, racist, savage Democrat Party.

Bibi should add the qualifier "unharmed and in one piece" to that statement.

NONE of the hostages will be returned unharmed, if they are returned at all. They will all exhibit physiological and psychological damage from their ordeal.

How does that work? The "occupation" ended :: checks notes :: 18 years ago. That's close to 17. So is this a case of "they can't do simple arithmetic" or is it something else?

What *did* happen 17 years ago? Well, in June of 2007 - about 16.5 years ago - Hamas settled its electoral dispute with the PLA (it won control of Gaza, and the PLA wasn't too happy about it) and took over Gaza through main force.

So what is this "occupation" and who caused the suffering? Because by my calendar, Hamas could only be describing itself.

There is already a "two-state" solution. There is an argument that Jordan is the second state, but I don't think it really qualifies in this context.

The second state that already exists is Gaza. Israel withdrew, "Palestine" held elections, Gaza went to Hamas, the "unity government" collapsed, Hamas took Gaza from Fatah by main force and seceded. Gaza *is* the "second state.* It has been for almost 20 years. And it decided to invade the first state after revolting against its fellow "second staters."

They did this a few weeks ago, too - set of an IED next to a caravan of fleeing refuges and claimed it was an Israeli air strike. Fortunately there was video, which was slowed down and showed that nothing came out of the sky before the explosion, so the story never really took off, then the hospital incident happened and the story was buried completely.

They killed parents in front of their very young children and then took them hostage. They killed, raped and mutilated loved ones and then took the survivors hostage. As is normal. This is the standard play, and it usually works. Hamas takes a hostage and gets 100 Hamas animals sprung from Israeli prisons in exchange. Hamas has historically achieved a very generous exchange rate on hostages-for-prisoners deals. So now they're going for broke - "all in" on both sides.

We've been watching collegiate women's volleyball. It's really good, very competitive, and charming in a unique way. The girls are extremely feminine and behave like women, and there's nothing they can do about it. It's hard to describe, but they'll score or mess up and the very actions they take towards each other to cheer or cheer up one another are soft and feminine. I assume that carries over into all sports. It's hard to imagine a man fitting in at all with them, no matter how much blackface he puts on.

It offends me to no end that there are guys out there who think "Man, these girls suck. You know what I'll do?"

I believe Roosevelt and Truman basically took the position that the camps existed, but they weren't enough of a priority to change our plans. They argued the best way to shut down the camps was to end the war. I believe they also refused to bomb the train lines the Nazis were using to ship Jews and supplies to the camps.

Hey, anyone know any good sized rivers in California. I'm going to make my "River to the Sea" speech relative to my plans for California...and I need a starting point.

Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers. Both are large enough to support ship traffic year-round. supplying ports in Sacramento and Stockton.

When I was a kid I would go to the big red ant hill in our backyard and put a spiral of model airplane glue around descending from the top, and then I would push a stick in the top so they would all come boiling out. And then I would set the glue on fire. It was pretty cool.

I used to shop at a Market Garden in Nashua, NH. Walked to the back, pick out a 1.5 lb lobster, and they would cook while I did the rest of my shopping. Then went next door to Boston Market for side dishes. Drove home and had a nice inexpensive dinner.

I just did that a few days ago, and it worked fine. For the average gas tank, add enough water to bring the level above the worst of the gunk in the tank, and throw in 2 cans of Red Devil lye, say about a pound. Place tank level on top of a firepit or camps stove, and boil for a couple of hours. Make sure the fuel sending unit is out of the tank, and any outlet lines near the bottom are capped. Wear safety glasses! There is a slight chance that gas fumes might be driven out of the tank, run into the fire and ignite. It won't blow the tank to bits, but you might get a Whoof! and a spray of hot caustic. Outdoor work for sure.

I got just plain old lye because they didn't have red devil. I've got it soaking right now with about 8 gallons / lb. It's just sitting in the Sun though, I'm not heating it more than that on this first round.
