The trick, according to my father, who had to deal with grizzlies many times, is to climb a tree that is small enough that the bear can't climb up after you, but large enough that they can't knock it down.

Much like pilots are scanning constantly for open places to make an emergency landing, apparently you get to where you are constantly scanning the trees for suitable candidates as you're hiking along.

It isn't perfect, because the tax payers wind up paying for the losses. However YOU can file 42 USC 1983 lawsuits against each and everyone involved in depriving you of your Constitutional rights under pretense of law, and sue them personally for damages, including ATF agents. They don't get to violate the Constitution without facing consequences, it only looks like they do, and the people doing it want you to feel helpless to do anything. Be aware there are time limits on filing the suits after a law is found unconstitutional.

It's not so much "delay" as "graze function" of the fuze. Low velocity launched grenades and autocannon ammo fuzes have two modes of function:

Impact - square-on hit drives a firing pin into the detonator.

Graze - A glancing impact causes a spring to drive the firing pin into the detonator.

The graze function works off "spin decay". When the spin slows down, either from air resistance (resulting in self-destruct) or striking something but not causing the impact function, the round still detonates. Hitting water does this, even at a "stone skipping angle". Skimming along something solid, like the top surface of ground or a vehicle also results in a graze hit.

The video shows detonation on impact with the water surface. That's the fuze graze function. Frag effect is likely limited to 1 meter (I'm no expert on this). As noted above, the overpressure effect is more important here.

Eh, ammonium chloride is not an explosive or explosive precursor, AFAIK. But it's useful as a flux for soldering zinc. I expect the rocket juice was ammonium chlorate or perchlorate.

Bought a bluetooth speaker for my laptop. Soundcore. My sister had one and I liked how it sounded. I ordered it from AMAZON PRIME, RULERS OF ALL MANKIND!!!!

It's fine and everything but no USB C cable. There was none in the box. There should be. Even the box says there is a USB C in it. There isn't. Now, if you have purchased a phone the last few years, you probably have a USB C laying around. I do and I'm using it to charge up the speaker. Still, there is supposed to be a USB C in the box with the speaker. I could return it, but USB C cables are easy to get (Walmart, Office Depot, etc). Or I'll just use the one I have. I got 2 of them. (shrugs)

I'm thinking most of the northern half of Gaza has been hammered. Any "delay" is based on what Israel's battleplan is and that includes potential hostage rescues. No doubt they are continually assessing their political setting, but this is no time to blink. I could see Israel.cutting ties with the US over this is Biden/valjar are assholes about it.

After hammering their objectives, and given the number of caves and tunnels there, this pause is time to re-asses their avenues of approach, their objectives, what enemy forces have survived, mop up fighting elsewhere, and rest the troops before the assault.
