A real sign of a sociopath is a willingness to look at what is objectively obvious and deny it. In an interview with John Harwood last week, Biden claimed he somehow managed to convince the late Senator Strom Thurmond to vote in favor of the Civil Rights Act “when I left the Senate.” There are so many things wrong with this it’s hard to know where to start. The Civil Rights Act was passed in 1965, Biden didn’t get elected to the Senate until 1972. Biden “left the Senate” in 2009 to become vice president, Thurmond died in 2003. These are pretty obvious, and rather large, problems with Joe’s proclamation. Harwood said nothing, either being too ignorant to know he was being lied to or too hackish to care. He was, after all, fired by CNN, and you really have to try to not meet their standards. If you’re wondering how it is someone can lie so obviously so often, without any fear, it’s because he’s been getting away with it his whole life. The current lies he tells about himself are in the tradition of his lies in the past, only now it’s tough to know if it’s because of senility or not. He’s lied about the death of his first wife and daughter (hit by a drunk driver), about the death of his son (he died in Iraq), and used both for political advantage, regularly. Talk about gross. If you’re willing to stand on the graves of family members when it suits your political needs, what wouldn’t you lie about? And when you’ve got the media on your side, and the truth only hurts your cause, why not lie? . . . . . . The weirdest thing about Joe Biden’s lies is they’re wildly unnecessary. He is, after all, [so-called quote-unquote "president"] of the United States. That’s historic enough. But he’s so insecure he’s compelled to make things up about himself to cover for shortcomings he sees when he looks in the mirror. If he’s willing to lie about things the truth is easily available to everyone to refute, what do you think he’s willing to say about things conducted in private, when no one was around to see?With deep-seated insecurities that fuel his pathological lying, an inability to sympathize or empathize with others' pain and suffering manifested by a constant need to make his own personal troubles (real or mostly imagined) the subject of the conversation, and the psychological and credibly alleged sexual abuse of his children, does this latest allegation/revelation even surprise you?

According to a Judicial Watch source, [pseudo] President Biden has mistreated his dogs. Judicial Watch has learned he has punched and kicked his dogs.. . . Biden has now had two different German Shepherds, Commander and Major, who have repeatedly bitten Secret Service agents and other White House staff. That much is an established fact. There’s a pattern here, and that almost always reflects on the owner, not on the dogs. But the question remains whether Biden kicks and punches his dogs, as the suit alleges. . . . . . I’m inclined to believe that a guy who humiliates his constituents in public, as Biden has done his entire career, is likely to abuse his dogs in private. That he’s had at least two dogs with behavior problems is yet more evidence of possible abuse.

He now praises this three-year effort to borrow $6-7 trillion, and spike interest rates threefold to 7% on home mortgages—even as prices on essentials like food and fuel have spiked 25-30% since he entered office. The more that Biden brags about what he did to the economy, the more people poll—over 60%—dissatisfaction with his alternate reality of “Bidenomics.” . . . Sometimes the fantasies extend to the trivial. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn) for months has dressed like an utter slob while on the Senate floor. As a gesture of approval, Democrats junked the dress code so he could wear his sloppy cut-offs and hoodie. Americans were to assume his slovenly costume was normal apparel—and they were hypercritical for thinking otherwise. Despite our epidemic of fantasy, there remains reality. And we will soon rediscover it all too soon.Don't be fooled by the sudden panic of the Biden junta about the border crisis – a crisis that they themselves created by destroying the border. Because as soon as the danger is over and the election is in the bag, the cardboard and canvas "wall" will be sent back to the MGM backlot from whence it was rented. These people are truly sick and what drives their madness above everything is the lust for the absolute power to control every man woman and child within hair-sniffing and panty-fondling distance. And whom they cannot control, they will annihilate. When serial liars lie, you just tune them out like so much white noise. But when a nugget of truth emerges from the torrent of bullshit, it makes you sit up and take notice:

Interestingly, it points to China being able to do what they do via lower energy costs. Hmmm. We COULD do that in this country, and do so even cheaper than China, if we could, oh, I don't know, tap our own resources, and build more natural gas and nuclear plants, and encourage more exploitation of oil plays.
But nah, Senator Vance decides that giving people a tax break for driving American made vehicles is a better idea, Because Patriotism.

I've had GSDs all my life. My current dog is really a sweety. They are way too energetic for an old guy like Biden. They need training and attention, space to run and things to keep them from being bored. Biden is a despicable human being and his dogs are a reflection of that.
For Biden, who falls on stairwells, can't navigate a stage without stumbling or running into a wall, shuffles like he is trying to scrub something off his shoes..
How in the world can he chase down a GSD and punch or kick it unless someone is holding it down (like a rape victim would be immobilized).

Not being allowed to give zeros or the 30s and 40s on report cards the kids richly deserved in some cases. "Don't give them a grade below a 60; it will make the rest of the year unrecoverable!" The teacher named Teacher of the Year told me that it was too mean to give too low a grade. I countered with "I got a 29 in English one year. Why? Because I didn't do the work because we read Great Expectations, which SUCKED. THAT was on me. And yes, my old man kicked my ass for it." She looked at me as if I grew two more heads.
Finally, at the end of the year, I turned in my "fail list", and the counselor whined at the number of failures I had. FFS the class wasn't nearly as hard as I could have made it.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is why China/India will take over the world.

We had a GS when I was in grade and middle school. It was one of the best dogs I ever had. My mom ran the clock and the penalty box for the hockey league and the dog was in the box with her. It was funny to watch some kid come in the box all riled up and become instantly tame when the do went over to check him out. That dog was spoiled rotten too. She got her own cheeseburger when we went through the drive through.

That's an idea that needs to die. Was at a restaurant recently with outdoor dining under a huge tent. Couple came up with dog on leash and were told it was against health code regulations for dog to be inside dining area. But you can tie the dog here outside and watch it from ten feet away. So they did. Dog proceeded to bark, and bark, and bark. It was still barking as we paid the tab and walked away.

He's known to be really belligerent with staff so maybe one of them has had enough and is leaving the administration on poor terms. When 8 alleged party members out of 221 side with Democrats, who can be characterized as the sworn enemy, to take out your duly elected leader, which was done in a way never done before, it might be a good time for those people to check their six. I was not trusting of McCarthy, but the job he was doing was well above my expectations and aligned with a majority of the members. Right or wrong, those other members have long memories and the purse strings. That's just truth. I suppose you can and will argue there is some kind of principle involved, but people who have been in leadership positions or a member of a team are rightly and justly outraged. In fact most of their arguments seem more cogent and justified then the removal itself.

@186 Linus, the judges rulings will first go to the appellate do vision in NYS. That division for his court idms in NYC, though it may go to the Albany appellate division as it involves state action. If they rule against Trump he would then appeal to the NYS Court of Appeals which is NY highest court. If they rule against him then he could go to federal court, but he would have to find a federal issue in the judges ruling ie taking of property or a civil rights violation

In the end the negative is it has reinforced stereotypes of the party and creates questions about their ability to govern. You will also never convince me, nor a lot of other people this wasn't personal. There is no principled argument and people like Gaetz know that. I just looked at some GOP primary polls (I know). By my reckoning, Nikki Haley is now positioned in 2nd place (way) behind Trump but now ahead of RDS. DeSantis still beats her in nationwide polls, but she’s ahead of RDS in both NH and SC. Not good to have a RINO in 2nd place. Maybe Ron really should bow out and heartily and with gusto support Trump. 253 I just looked at some GOP primary polls (I know). By my reckoning, Nikki Haley is now positioned in 2nd place (way) behind Trump but now ahead of RDS. DeSantis still beats her in nationwide polls, but she’s ahead of RDS in both NH and SC. Not good to have a RINO in 2nd place. Maybe Ron really should bow out and heartily and with gusto support Trump. The LAST thing we need is the GOPe somehow installing warmonger Haley at the convention using Trump legal troubles as an excuse….

In O & Joe's cases, they're weak men who've lived via manipulation their entire lives. (Actor v. leader would have been the safer calling for the nation.) Their models were weak, childish, spoiled men who did as they chose, were basically uninvolved with their children unless it would lead to opportunity for themselves, but who also had the support of women - grandmothers, mothers, wives - propping them up all the while enabling almost identical behavior in their male children, grandsons. (Note on one hand O & J praise those women but, on the other, backhandedly compliment them.)
Pity their wives, to a point. Note how another woman - a sister, a trusted friend - is always there to be his good friend & provide guidance. And, all the while, daughters and/or granddaughters provide public cover for him/them, too, as the sons, grandsons also pale in comparison.
By the time their dear departures, they'll both have left the world a worse place. Hell of a legacy.
And the beat goes on.
